  1. Hot and muggy here as well. The Good Thing is that the temperature has dropped from 38c to 24c and we even had a bit of rain last night.
  2. Why did the chicken cross the road? Because he saw the zebra crossing.
  3. It's bright and sunny with a projected 26c maximum temperature, still very warm but a lot better than the 36c we had the past two days.
  4. A classic song from classic album. Back in the day everyone had this album in their collection.
  5. Android. My current phone is Android as was the previous one and the next one will be as well, but my current phone is only about four years old so there's lots of life left in it still.
  6. It's 10pm and it's still 30c outside. The weather forecast says it could be hotter tomorrow!
  7. It's very hot and sunny. The temperature is currently 36c and slowly rising. About an hour ago I went out to hang some washing on the line, it only took about 10 minutes but in that short time I was nearly a cooked Animedragon.
  8. I'm a warm weather person, but it's currently 29c and that's a bit too warm even for me and I'm loosing the incentive to do anything except those things that I absolutely must do. The Met office has issued a red warning for extreme heat for Monday & Tuesday with temperatures expected to be around 39c. Apparently this is the first time a red warning for heat has ever been issued in the UK
  9. Welcome aboard, pull up a cushion, or a chair if sitting on the floor isn't your thing, and make yourself at home.
  10. What's the difference between an organist and a terrorist? You can negotiate with a terrorist. (Apologies to any organists reading this.)
  11. If you want lots of murder then Noir will do you as the per episode body count can be quite high. If you want to cry then watch Clannad After Story. If you want pretty artwork then anything by Hayao Miyazaki, Makoto Shinkai or Kyoto Animation will do you.
  12. What makes an anime "Special" very much depends on personal preferences. But here are a few that I regard as special: - Saikano - The Place Promised in our Early Days - Your Name I would be remiss in not mentioning my favourite anime series, and one that's very special to me; Clannad/Clannad After Story. (but it might not be your style). All these have good music, but I think that out of the four Clannad series and The Place Promised have the best music.
  13. Today I started watching Sailor Moon Stars, I decided to skip Super S because in my view it's the worst of the five series. The first six episodes are quite dramatic and it's good to see Sailor Saturn getting some screen time, that Silence Glaive of hers looks a fearsome weapon.
  14. OK, so it's not anime, but is Japanese. The series was known as X Bomber in Japan and was dubbed into Eglish and shown on UK TV on Saturday mornings sometime in the 1980's as Star Fleet. It was created by Go Nagai and features a Gunbusteresque giant mech. This is a music video by Brian May featuring the series closing song with scenes taken from one of the episodes.
  15. Not an acquisition yet, but I've just pre-ordered my copy of the Violet Evergarden Movie.
  16. I finished watching Sailor Moon S this evening. I think that 'S' is the best out of the five series. I like the way the story slowly unfolds as the full extent of the Death Busters plan is revealed. I also think the tension between the inner and outer Sailors is well portrayed.
  17. This hot weather is enough to make anyone a nervous wreck.
  18. I bought this series as a result of seeing a couple of clips from it on YouTube,. After watching a few episodes I thought "what is this rubbish?!", but I stayed watching (I'd paid for it after all!) and found it got better in the later episodes and I went on to get the second series and the final movie. While I wouldn't put this series on my Top 10, it's now one of my favourites.
  19. Update! The board was returned to the supplier, they kindly sent a courier to collect it. After a few days I had two e-mails from them one saying that the board was faulty and that they'd created an order for a replacement for me, the second saying that the item ordered was out of stock!! I took the option to cancel the order and will find somewhere that has it in stock.
  20. I'm retired now, but I used to operate high volume copiers which pumped out heat with enthusiasm. So I feel your pain at working in high temperatures, been there, suffered that.
