  1. Who else has Preorder Fever? Anyone else anxiously anticipating the release of a longtime favorite anime? Which preorders do you already have set for delivery, or are you more of a 'wait till the sale' kind of person? Post below and let us know! I was waiting for Star Blazers on preorder back before it released but then talked myself out of it in favor of waiting for a complete collection release (not sure how much longer I can hold out on this one...might just buy it....it taunts me everytime I go shopping). That said, now I've got Cyborg009 on preorder (this is remastered, uncut, all the episodes in one collection...never been released in the States like this before. I know, because I have the two DVDs they did release) and am so excited to get to finally see it completely uncut. Definitely not backing out on this one! I'm also preordering Code:Realize Guardian of Rebirth for my collection. Just a few preorders so far this year.
  2. Donate enough stuff to the museum and it will happen... somehow I'm halfway through fall in my first year on the file and still not in yet =/ usually I've got it open by now...
  3. Played some Stardew today and now I'm halfway through fall about to harvest my first pumpkin crop. So unlikely to suceed at 1 million in my first year lol...
  4. @Seshi pretty much what @Ohiotaku just said. It was good and bad. It went more into a "liberal" direction. Instead of being about a good plot where they were saving the world or something, it went waaaaay too political. It went down the road of victimized subdemographics (blood benders being ostracized from water benders for example and having to hide themselves and "reacting" to it by behaving bad because they felt unfairly treated) instead of celebrating and uplifting diversity. It ended up feeling like someone was pushing their politics onto you and the sudden 'hetero to homo' switch of the final couple made no sense for either character's history and again felt like forced politics. I did like seeing Ang's kids and grandkids but that was pretty much it.
  5. It's a French Animation, but Code Lyoko immediately comes to mind. The story seems bright, heroic, and fast paced on the surface but the things that happened to Aelita were actually quite dark, and throughout the series you even see her having nightmares of her past (likely PTSD from happened to her). Very dark but one of my favorite French series (I actually have quite a few French series that I like). I think I'll add some Mainframe titles to this list. Shadow Raiders (aka War Planets), is an old Mainframe series where the Fire Planet was destroyed to save the rest (and its people displaced) but it seems very kid friendly at first. Then you had Reboot which seemed really happy go lucky until Bob got ejected into the web and Enzo became Matrix. As far as Japanese animation goes...I kind of expect it to be a little dirty so none of the titles come to mind. Is that bad of me? Even UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie with the main guy having to kiss a little girl to turn her into a woman every episode was something that I kind of realize is going to happen with Japanese stories no matter what. The focus is oftentimes very sexual in anime which makes me think a lot of someones aren't getting enough at home..in my opinion anyways.
  6. @VampireKnight19 best advice I can give on fishing is not to press and hold the reel button. Tap it and vary your tapping speed as needed to keep the bar in the right range. If you have access to the sewers, go fishing there to practice on carp till you really get the hang of it (easier to level up in the sewers too which makes your bar bigger too). My big fail will always be The Prairie King Arcarde Game. Still haven't gotten past the second level. =/
  7. @EnviousEnvy did you try his room? my backup locations are Sams house, the train tracks, and the pier for him.
  8. Hehe, many of us play this. I've got 4 saves....an Allessandra (married Sebastian), an Aurora (married Shane) and my latest named Thomas (currently unmarried-he's my attempt at 1 million in earnings in under 1 year on the farm (unless I really make the last two seasons work, I'm not going to make it...he'salso going to be my Joja Mart loyalist). Think I've made a Shady Acres among some other farm names. Not going to say my favorite farm. After Thomas I might start up a fisherman save and just go fishing every day with minimal farming just for my own kitchen recipes. Most of mine I'm pretty much farming, kegs, with a couple of barns. Or perhaps I'll make a Rancher and live the ranch life... so many different styles I have yet to try out.

I honestly feel that E3 has gone down in quality as the years have gone by. Especially since they stopped allowing the general public to attend the event. There is less of a reason for the companies to really bring their a game to the show with out a fan base their to be excited about it. I was sad that Ubisoft was not bringing Beyond Good and Evil 2 to the show. The 1st game was one of my favorite games of the PS2 generation. I had it on the PS2, the xbox, the game cube, and Later bought a digital copy on the Xbox 360. And I actually played every single one of them. That is how much I love that game. I believe that they are doing the same as what Sony is doing. I also feel that by Sony not coming and doing their own show, they are playing it safe. When Microsoft went in and announced the xbox one, the requirement for the camera enraged gamers everywhere as well as some other issues with the console. I imagine Sony had a similar set up and change things around to come out on top by reacting to the Microsoft 1reveal. So part of me thinks they are playing it safe this time around as well. Anyways, when I found out that E3 was only going to have nintendo which I don't have anymore and xbox which I never got around to purchasing, my interest in the show was minimal.
  10. Welcome to the forums Satchel you've got quite the list there. Don't stop keeping up with that list. I find myself struggling for the names of anime I've watched but haven't bought sometimes. You'll appreciate writing them all down someday:)
  11. Welcome to the forums Noah I, like you, have quite the backlog of anime to watch.
  12. Welcome to the forums I hope you are having a good time here.
  13. Welcome to the forums Vampireknight are you into all reverse harems or do you just have a soft spot for Vampire Knight?
  14. @Kinbaryu yeah, that is why I really prefer mature romances featuring adults. Even lite romance with adults typically is better. For instance, in Moribito, Balsa and Tanda would be a great couple and their feelings are fairly clear but the only thing really standing in their way is her determination to fulfill her oath first. Though the romance was more background and side story to the main plot, it vastly affected their relationships and the story and in my opinion enriched the story in a unique way. Don't give up entirely on the genre...just be more picky and do more research first.
  15. @Humbby wait...you mean your reflection? Or did I interpret that wrong...?
  16. @Seshi he was a coworker and one of my best friends. He really had an uncanny gift and the things he'd see in dreams were generally spot on. He always told me he thought I was clairvoyant and an empath because of how well I can read people in person, but his gift was downright amazing. Sometimes he'd see things and ask for my interpretation on them (the things that came more as symbolic as opposed to straight up visions). The fact that he got every detail right, before the police even started going down that line of questioning was amazing.
  17. Well...I live at the beach so I pretty much never go unless I have family or friends down. When I have friends, I usually have to stop and get a boogy board or something for them (I am confident in my swimming abilities but I know most of my friends are not that capable). I used to go looking for shells...and I'd like to do more metal detecting on the beach but I haven't been out there in a long while. I tend to go offshore fishing and SCUBA diving rather than on-shore activities. Walking on the beach is nice during the off season.
  18. Once I walked into work and saw what looked to be drag marks in dried blood on the floor, going next to the robots and then turning right towards the sink. I paused and talked to my best friend who walked in with me and said "they finally did it....they finally killed one of us." (to put it in context, we worked at the gates of Hell, supervised by the incompetent and treated less than human because we were on a "contract" position and thus had no rights) and he responded, "they opened the portal" and that was all we said. Everyone showed up, and the drag marks were "supposedly" a crushed tablet (there is no way) that the incompetent housekeeping staff mopped the floor with, but I don't believe it. Those marks were on the floor for weeks. Then a couple of months later, during a time when a child was missing, he told me he knew where she was. He then told me he had a dream the night before and that she was in a cold, dark, wet place. Then he said, he saw the boyfriend put her in the lake, that the mother's boyfriend was molesting her, that the mother knew and didn't care, and that she had gotten old enough to tell people who might turn him in for it, and so the boyfriend killed her with her mom's permission and dumped her in a lake. Later, two weeks later, they found the girl in the lake. He said, mark my words, that's how it went down. Guess what? He was right on every single account, down to mother knowing about it. And this was not the first time nor the last he would come in and tell me what happened to a missing person and be right on every account.
  19. I second the call out on Fairy Tale and One Piece. I thought One Piece was just weird and silly and Fairy Tail I watched the first season of (after hearing from my best friend how awesome it was) and decided that it was really cliché and full of over the top characters. For that matter, add in 7 Deadly Sins (which had too many main over the top characters to really appeal to me) which was disappointing at best, and revolting at worst. I also (probably going to get some hate for this one) did not really enjoy FMA Brotherhood (wish I had) and so after the first season I gave away my copy to my best friend (and apparently, those copies are worth a lot of money, so I saved her a lot but could've probably traded it in for some rare Space Opera anime I'm always trying to track down).
  20. @Seshi Well, I started a new job at the beginning of April so I didn't plan to go to the Con this year (just as well). That said, my favorite kid's cosplay is probably the Kiki outfit from Kiki's Delivery Service. Everytime I'm at a con and I see a family who dressed their little girl up as Kiki it always makes me go "Awww!!!!" There was the kid who dressed up as Pikachu at one con too. He was at a dance-off and they played the Pokémon themesong for them to dance too. I bet you can all guess who won that round lol. Other than that, there are too many good costumes to choose. One year, most everyone was going as a scout from AoT which is a pretty impressive setup to make, but I also like seeing Dr. Whos, Sailor Scouts, and all. I've never really picked a favorite...every new cosplay is a new "Whoa! You made that!? You have talent!" for me
  21. Sims4 - Grabbed a bunch of stuff on sale (to get the sale price, I had to buy it all individually instead of bundling..the bundle was more expensive than the sale prices!) so now I have City Living, Vampires, Spa Day and some stuff packs and now I'm just waiting for the Island Living pack. I started up a new game and made a girl, evil/geek/snob (my first snob ever lol...she's so happy hanging out with other snobs) and made an old Victorian style home in Forgotten Hollow to put her in and proceeded to turn her into a Vampire. She's a freelancer programmer and I can't believe the money she's raking in. Being a vampire makes it super lucrative too. Her "needs" to keep her fairly happy are minimal as a vampire so she just keep churning out the gigs and stacking up her finances! I'm thinking about playing some Stardew later but I still want to try apartment living too. I might start up a family in the City and see were it goes.
  22. I've got it and it's on my list to watch someday. I actually have quite the backlog of anime to trudge through. Usually I binge watch anime in the Summer (because it's just too hot to leave the house) so I imagine I'll be tackling some series pretty soon.
  23. @Serge heartless I've watched Dual Parallel Trouble (and my best friend has too) and Vandread is kind of a cult classic anime for most people, so even those who have never seen it have usually heard of it. @Ohiotaku most of yours are pretty unknown to me except for Rune Soldier. @Seshi Cyborg009 was pretty awesome, wasn't it? And Ceres...oh the English dub was sooo very bad! >_> Some of my own rarer pieces in my collection would be... Kikaider (what grand tragic melodrama...melodrama done right!), Arjuna, Dirty Pair, The Girl Who Leapt Through Space (actually, probably 50% or more of my Space Opera collection), Brighter than the Dawning Blue, and Okamikakushi just to name a few. I feel like there's a chance some people in the US might have heard of Kikaider once upon a time...thinking the rest are pretty much heard of only if you are a genre fan and went digging.
