  1. I totally will. I'm planning to buy a couple of longer HDMI cables to actually make this work. I use the Sony VR which is fairly good, but let's face it, the cables that come with it are made for shorter people. If I get any closer to the camera, the camera won't callibrate right either so I'm just going to replace the cables with longer ones and I think I'll use my VR gear a lot more with that small change. So far, played through Loading Human (enjoyed it though the graphics are a bit primitive, like early PS2 graphics when you consider later PS2 graphics, still a good game to practice the controls) and Star Trek Bridge Crew (I need to recruit a crew to take on the Kobayashi Maru Challenge) and been using the VR charging station to charge my controller as the short cables pulled my head down constantly bothering my preexisting neck problems. I'm really looking forward to it. I've heard so many good things about Skyrim VR. I may be ruint after this lol... I really haven't set up a new area for VR. You really mostly sit or stand. You use the controllers to move around...which means I might be learning it new in Skyrim. >_> Anyways, I'll let you know how mind-blown I get.
  2. Stardew is one of the best games around. Got Skyrim vr the other day and I'm hoping to try it tonight....
  3. And here is my submission. Been doodling Usagi from Sailor Moon (as I used to when I was younger). It is in ink and really rough (can't erase mistskes with pens) but probably one of my better doodles from this past week.
  4. Agreed. It was not what I was expecting and I didn't enjoy it. I ended up giving it away to my best friend. She didn't dislike it but it wasn't what she was expecting either. I like comedy but I felt it was just overused. I suppose I wanted more romance. Though I liked Kenchi better than Tenchi in Tenchi Muyo War on Geminar, there was a lot of wierd in that one. The massaging thing, especially. I know it was meant to be more humorous but it really made me wonder about the author. Actually the whole Tenchi timeline and family tree is altogether wierd and full of incest and wierd relationships, far worse than the royal lines here in Earth's history.
  5. Welcome to the forums Feather if you really regret your username, once you save up enough points (through forum participation) you can purchase the Change Username through the forum shop to fix that so start thinking of names you might like. I hope you enjoy it here!
  6. I want to say the Zoids franchise....oddly enough...
  7. I love the glasses cliche! I actually do it myself quite often...and the sinister connotations it carries is a major bonus

Been playing the Sims 4. Got a few more game packs and now I'm building my starter homes in new worlds. Love the building....love playing offgrid style too. Got a farmer I'm playing now
  9. Not really hated, but I think Bodacious Space Pirates doesn't get the love it deserves. And @Ohiotaku, you know what's hilarious about that? I bought Rune Soldier at a con 5-6 years ago....the vendor tried to talk me into getting Slayers instead. I think you are right on the nail with that one.
  10. Currently we don't earn points for quizzes (I want some retroactive points if we add them ) and the minimum would be 1 question with a max of 10 questions. I don't think farming quizzes is going to ever be a major points producer for anyone however.
  11. @The History Kid that is beautiful! And actual snow too! Here we get ice...looks like snow from the windows but you walk on top of it and don't sink in lol. But beaches, got plenty of them. I too am best at macro shots. I had a few macro shots that won awards at the local aquarium back when they did the contests. With the class photos, I just try to catch people in a candid style, smiling and having fun. Those are usually the best photos anyways. And hard to get. But, random shots of old trawlers and gulls and the occasional macro shot when something catches my eye is mostly what I do. You should try oil painting. It is much more forgiving than sketching, believe me.
  12. So, photography is art to me. A lot of thought goes into taking a picture. Background, lighting, subject matter, angles, zoom, contrast... I also am interested in astrophotography but it will be quite a while before I can do any of that. Sadly, the only time I am able to use a good camera (and not my cellphone) is when I borrow my husband's expensive camera (a gift from me for his birthday one year). Thus, many of my good pictures are still very meh. Does anyone else here consider themselves an amateur photographer as far as art is concerned? I actually got some great pictures today of the island horses with his camera (was supposed to be conserving the battery for class photos...oops!). Maybe if I have time tonight I'll pull them off and post one or two.
  13. RPGs hands down. Many have multiple endings which increase replay value and the stories are just fun and less stressful. FPS require practice to maintain proficiency in and that's a lot of time to spend on a game.
  14. Well...you can be really ultra super still (she is the hardest at the end to keep alive) or you can cheat and put the controller on the couch and just not bounce and just reach over to make decisions as needed. My first time through my wrist and arms were too weak to hold the controller still. This time I had the strength, but not the lack of coughing lol.
  15. I finally platinum'd Until Dawn today. The second playthrough got me noticing things I missed the first time around. It was made all the more difficult by my coughing during the 'don't move' parts. Lol...not a good game to play when you are sick.

    Happy Easter

Planning on lunch with my family (prime rib yum) then egg hunts (one for the kids, one for the adults) and possibly out to the farmland for an arrowhead hunt (pretty sure it's the right season and it did rain recently). My husband has never found an arrowhead before so I'm sure he'll have fun. My neices and nephew haven't either so it's high time we restarted that tradition. Happy Easter, friends!
  17. So, a few nights ago, I platinumed Horizon Zero Dawn (after realizing I was literally one trophy away, I decided to just do the legwork for the last few Grazer dummies I had missed. I actually had to reteach myself the controls first.). Then I saw with a second playthrough I could do the same with Until Dawn (I need to make a lot of bad decisions this time lol) so off to acting like I'm actually a character in a thriller movie instead of being the intelligent person I am who stays cool under pressure. It's sad and fun at the same time....hear a banging on a door when you know there is danger afoot? The smart me would walk away...the thriller movie me must not stop myself from opening it lol. Anyways, this will end horribly wrong. I'm going to make sure of it...
  18. Probably Stardew Valley. I can do anything or nothing. Aim for making money or just hang out with the townsfolk. Makes me wish at times for more games like that. You don't even have to do combat if you really don't want to.
  19. Personally I don't have a problem with hentai. However, because it exists, it is an easy way for the masses to bash anime in general. Perhaps the tentacle thing is a bit too widely known not to mention the use of childlike characters in the scenes. It's a stigma that has become a real barrier when trying to introduce any Gen X or early Millenial era folks to anime. For the most part, the drawings is on par with most anime that is not hentai based. For me, the issue is nearly always plotlines. Most plotlines revolve around rape or sex-slaves. Not all, but most. Many times too there are scenes that are reused in other hentai so...if I had to judge it, I would say the genre lacks innovation and the reuse of scenes makes the genre stale. It is probably one of the few genres that makes money without much effort put into it, but not because of the quality of the material.
  20. I think like many others, I didn't realize I was watching anime at first. I suppose in that case, I just happened upon it.
  21. How did Tales of Graces make you that sad?
  22. So, I'm not the type of person to be prone to crying during a sad scene in a movie, and most of the time, I am fairly resilient in video games too. However, there have been some games that really yanked my heart out. Have you played any that did that to you? Use spoiler tags please, just in case someone hasn't played the game yet. Games as an interactive medium can really do us in sometimes with our emotions, fsr better than a movie. Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
  23. File workmans comp and tell him to see a lawyer. That actually sounds like a retaliatory firing which I think would be covered under a wrongful termination suit, especially if the employer was trying to avoid the costs to thier workmans comp payouts. Without knowing exactly how his wrist got broken and the rest of the story, I can't really give you more than a bit of hope as to what hd can do to rectify the situation. I too am a bit perturbed. I agreed to cover my boss so she could interview for a job in another state. Reworked my schedule for it too. Then she cancels her interview, tells me I can come in and work anyhow since I made the time for it, then today when I showed up, forgot all about it. Needless to say, I'm now trying to decide what to do with my day. Hopefully will meet up with a friend as he's passing through so I guess there's that.
