    Favorite Food

Sweet stuff is okay, but I don't like it when it's too sweet. I have a limited tolerance towards food that are too salty as well, but somehow, that limit is far more extended than my sweetness tolerance level for some reason. I also have a problem against sticky food like chocolate syrup. A little of that is okay, but too much makes me sick.

Salty stuff here I come! Especially french fries. Who knew salt would go so well with potatoes?
  3. "Yeah, we compromised. Sometimes in ways that made us not sleep so well. But we did it so that people could be free."

  4. Same as my favorite genre of manga, psychological. Anything that messes with your head, makes you think, yada yada. Everything I've already said in the other thread.
  5. All too often, yes. I don't have a specific episode-count of when I'd drop it. If I feel irritated to a certain degree, I could drop it as early as episode 1 or as late as the last few episodes (Kill la Kill at episode 21). I watch anime to have a good time, not to sit through something frustrating. I'm not an anime reviewer, I don't get paid to watch this. So the least I could get is an enjoyable time. If not, sayonara. Currently, my drop list is at 37 anime series. A handful of them are hentai titles with no merits in watching them, so no loss there. lol
  6. Isn't that more of a demographic though? Like shounen and seinen?
  7. Hah... I'm pretty casual when it comes to watching anime, especially nowadays when I don't have that many anime on my priority list. I usually just download their torrents whenever I feel like watching them, not pre-planned or anything like that. Nowadays though, the times that I 'feel' like watching them has decreased very significantly, so any planning would be redundant anyway.
  8. I take it back - MAL isn't unsociable. AnimeSuki is. Convos are pretty static there as everyone ignores everyone, even when you quote them.

  9. Burned out from playing Fallout: NV. Bored. Need new distraction. Can't sit through Daredevil without being distracted. Sigh.

  10. Just finished Netflix's Daredevil, episode 3. I was gonna call it a Batman rip-off, but by the end of the ep, Daredevil feels more human.

  11. Just finished Gintama° episode 3. Hilarious as usual, with even a heartwarming bit at the end...
  12. The only time I had used 24 hours times was back in the army, while I was serving conscription. It's kinda uncomfortable using it outside of the army, especially nowadays, long after my conscription.
  13. I think the same can be said for both Sorato and Takari though. Both pairings have been expressed in a mutual relationship, especially the latter.
  14. Yeah, but it felt pretty cheap. Doesn't get the main girl, so here's second prize cameo. Better luck next time.
  15. I guess having Taiora can be pretty generic, the whole main girl and main boy shipping. Then again, the flip side is true too - the whole 'leader doesn't get the girl' trope has been played out very often as well, especially in a situation similar to Digimon Adventure, where a 'best friend' gets the girl instead, and the leader is cool with it. I guess both cases have their merits, and it would be pretty badass to see Taichi go solo like a real man. That said, I still can't help feel annoyed about Yamato. No offense, but I find him pretty boring, even more than the cliche 'hot-head' Taichi, whose maturity has only made him more interesting than the truly cliche Daisuke. I don't hate Yamato or anything. I just feel like yawning whenever I see him on screen and I have to put up with watching him being with the rest of the more interesting cast. Even Joe's more interesting, and that's just sad. I guess I've just seen the whole 'cool-headed lone wolf' trope one too many times that it's rubbed me the wrong way. Sora... isn't any better, frankly speaking. I think most of the 01 cast have problems staying interesting, because their flaws have been conquered. I find Sora's backstory much less annoying than Yamato though, as the whole 'parental divorce' pitch was sold to me far more often than what was going on in Sora's life.
  16. Actually, there's been something I've been meaning to bring up in this thread for a while now... I don't really see that many Taiora shippers, to be honest. On my count, there were probably less than 8 Taiora fans - on both animeforums.net and MAL. Less than 8 on both sites. That's pretty little. I've probably haven't met the rest, but in the past few weeks, perhaps even the past month, the posts I've seen in regards to any shipping in Digimon were pandered towards Sorato or Takari. Taiora's ship has long sailed, I think. Edit: I haven't seen any on AnimeSuki either, so that's three sites altogether lacking in Taiora shipping.
  17. I was wondering what all the fuzz about Taicherine is about. So you are referring to that one-off blonde girl whose name I could barely remember because she was as forgettable as the rest of those foreign Chosen Children in the World Tour arc. Heh. I don't really mind the fact that Taichi has moved on and emotionally matured, and I do agree with you that's a good thing... but Catherine? Of all people? Who the heck is her anyway? We know barely anything about her. She made a one-off unremarkable cameo. I would rather Taichi just hook up with Daisuke's sister (I think her name was Jun).
  18. I just find it rather laughable and hypocritical that you would sound out that people are going to lash back at you and then follow it up with a statement that you blatantly know will get people to lash back at you (regardless of whether if they support the shipping or not). I mean, delusions? Really? lol You're not really above Internet insults either, so I wouldn't be surprised if you are crucified.
  19. Yeah, it might have something to do with this condescending opening statement (read: accusation of delusions), but you know. Honestly, if you don't want to be crucified, don't spit in the Romans' drinks in the first place.
  20. Advanced Generation has so many good songs, including this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvftmTrqOO4 'Challenger' is pretty good too, but I prefer the dub version of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8pj9EwjNjw Epic opening line. "Every trainer has a choice To listen to his voice inside" That said, you can't beat the nostalgic value of "Advanced Adventure": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZkYxRMT_rI Those trumpets!

  22. Yagami Light was pretty badass when I first saw him... till I saw him run away like a coward, cringing the way he did at the last episode, showing the kind of pathetic person he is. Sigh. Oh well. I prefer the live action movies anyway. I don't really have a favorite villain, as it is tough to sympathize with the lot of them, but I find Kyubey to be pretty interesting to say the least, given his apathetic persona. His world runs on ruthless calculus, a cold formula where emotions are a mental illness. There's almost something admirable that purity unhindered by emotions that I respect, kinda like the xenomorph from those Alien movies. "I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality."
  23. @SanguineTear Speaking of Madoka funnies... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZxUinHVUbU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jjR6iEokN38 It's hard to pick which one I like more. The first one is more well-made, and the time to animated all of that must've taken much longer than the video effects in the second one, not to mention all the inclusions of various magical girls featured in the Madoka anime AND the spin-off manga AND even other magical girl anime like A Certain Magical Index! lol That's pretty amazing. The second, however, is pretty hilarious too. I died at the part where Kyubey was repetitively hitting the soul gem. Also, I love both opening songs, so that help a lot.

    Manga vs Anime

For some reason, manga often have the better stories than anime. Sure, manga have their own share of generic shounen stories, but due to anime adaptations being made for the sheer sake of profit, a cheap advertisement cut down to whatever episodes the studio executives demanded, anime have more opportunities for failure to tell a good story, or at least, a story that would have been told better without the impatience and urgency in manga form. For that reason, I prefer manga. However, I don't like reading, and I prefer the more dynamic storytelling of anime with music and pretty graphics (I'm superficial like that). Which is why I watch anime more than I read manga. If the mediums of anime and manga could combine their benefits together, that would be the best of both worlds, of course, but that's an idealistic naivety that only exists in fantasy land.
  25. To be honest, I found all the close-up shots a little cheesy when I first saw them. lol It's like they were all posing for a fashion show to look as badass as possible. haha... After learning that it's gonna be almost a year before the subs come out, I kinda stopped caring at that point. Waiting a year everyday for a show isn't my idea of a life.
