  1. Yeah, I've never really liked the world tour. It was the lowest point of 02 for me. It was incredibly boring and pointless, almost as much as the Christmas episode.
  2. I had some Bonjour brand chocolate chip loaf. We don't really have much food in the middle of the night.
  3. There are epic rap battles, then there are epic death battles. I normally find Screw Attack's Death Battles to be entertaining but nothing more. However, their latest work is simply one of the most exhilarating battles yet, partly because of the great lines Tony was given, partly because it's great to root for a hero. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yeHt0uHElI
  4. It's alright. I'm sorry as well that we have to go through this kind of awkward situation. Anyway, we've gone off-topic long enough. Let's move on.
  5. It's complicated, and said complications would require me to spill the family history I share with people I have no choice but to live with, which would cause uncomfortable drama that's unfortunately already present in this discussion. In short, yes, I would appreciate it if you would drop it.
  6. It's none of your business. It's family matters. Are you Asian? Because Asians have an ethic to keep out of others' family business, something westerners might not practice, which is fine and all, but I think I have the right to some privacy here.
  7. No, I don't, and you are judging a family situation, even when you claimed to have no knowledge of this subconscious action.
  8. I don't know how to cook, unless it's instant noodles. Don't judge.
  9. Yeah, well, my mom cooks the same crap everytime.
  10. I used to like curry a lot when I first tasted it. I liked the sweet taste. Then again a while, between the sting of the spice and the messy sauce that stains your mouth, eating curry can be a real bother. And as mentioned, I got tired of the taste, but I easily get tired of stuff, so this is not exclusive to curry alone.
  11. I've never used VMs at all, but on my iMac, there's a featured called 'Boot Camp' that lets you install both the Mac and Windows platforms on it, something which has very often been misconceived as a VM, when it lacks the limitation a VM will have, especially the latency that comes with VMs.
  12. When you first eat it, sure, but after living a life of eating curry every month or so, it gets old.
  13. Singapore No, it's not that clean. We still see litter and cockroaches in places. No, it's not fun. It's boring. I know that's subjective and all, but by comparison, Singapore is a miniature version of American entertainment. The theme parks are mediocre and the shops are unimpressive. We rarely get red-carpet movie premiers around here, where you get to see celebrities and stuff. Even Seoul, an Asian country, had an 'Age of Ultron' red carpet event. Want to watch Netflix? Tough luck. It's not available in Singapore. Everything's limited to a small-scale version of what is cool and fun. Yes, it's pretty safe, but only because of the authoritarian regime the government holds over the people. Okay, a little overdramatic, I admit, but it's still pretty strict around these parts. There's little room for 'freedom' and 'human rights' here when kids are allowed to be punished with corporal discipline like caning and the such. Like all countries, the people living here would love to advertise their homeland as some kind of paradise nirvana to foreign nations for the sake of building foreign relations and attracting tourism. All countries except America, which ironically has began to admit that America isn't the greatest country in the world anymore... and yet, Singapore still holds that notion of pride in mind like a bunch of nationalist elitists. Singapore has problems like any first-world country, if only the people would admit it. No, we are not yellow-skinned. It's a disease called jaundice, nothing to joke about. No, we are not all squinty-eyed and have small penises. I saw some seriously bugged-eye Asians around here and they aren't any better than squinty-eyed ones, and some of us have (and are) huge dicks as well. It's not "ching chong ming ting long," it's "ching cho meng teng long".

  15. Man, they are sure rebooting a lot of anime these days - Doraemon, Sailor Moon, Digimon, and now Dragon Ball.
  16. Bugs. Roaches, wasps, bees, moths, big caterpillars (the small ones don't bug me as much - ba-dum-tss). But yeah. Any creepy crawlies just plain frighten me, especially the winged ones that could fly right onto your face.
  17. I never understood the fascination with psychotic stalkers. While it's true that bipolar people are kinda annoying in real life as well, they don't really try to kill you... So yandere lovers are probably masochists, IMO. At least with tsunderes, I could justify that it's because I find her insecurities cute.
  18. Soaked in curry sauce. Bleh. There wasn't much meat in the ribs I was given too, mostly bones.
  19. I'm about to eat curry rice... once again, with ribs.
  20. YouTube comments. Never a dull moment. Sigh.

Almost always a cesspool of silliness or hatred indeed.

Very much so. Can't get a discussion in there without a fight of some kind.

  21. Rich with chicken-sauce. Not sure what the cooking process is called, but it's when you boil chickens with soy sauce. We ran out of chickens late at night yesterday, so I only had the sauce left.
  22. Playing G-senjou no Maou. Not really liking the cliche VN beginning.

Oh, really? I was going to play that eventually. Sad to hear that the beginning is chiche, but I hear that it picks up later on. When you finish, please tell me how you liked it.

I probably judged too quickly, as there were more mature parts of the story 30-40 minutes in. That said, it still doesn't eliminate the painfully cliche personality of at least two girls in the game - the airhead and the 'nice girl'. Especially with the case of the latter, the story hammers you over the head with how 'innocent' she is. Oh my god...

But yeah, the more 'serious' parts of the story were pretty interesting, so it's not all bad.

  23. Pretty much this. Though for the record, FMA:B, a 50-episode anime, was filled with loads of annoying shounen cliches as well (like deus ex machina that came out of nowhere). Probably more of a result of bad writing than its series length, but I thought I should mention it for reference. I don't really have many favorite series that are more than 50 episodes long. I don't even find Detective Conan to be all that great, as they always dragged out the story with irrelevant fillers that became painfully inferior in the recent years (the old fillers weren't as bad). Gintama is probably the winning exception, but only because it mocks the shounen genre as a whole, so its fillers are intentional and, very often, hilarious.
  24. Just finished BioShock: Infinite and the Burial at Sea DLC a few days ago. Gonna play Fallout: New Vegas pretty soon.
  25. I normally don't enjoy moe, but this looks fun. Might watch it when I have time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqGbE9yLLA4

Yeah, the show is filled with these kinda stuff. It's pointless but amusing.
