Yes yet another very good point, and I realized I forgot to about the earliest anime in the 30s. and 40s as that was very much taken from the west in the dying days of WWII. In fact anime got steam as a way toi give Japanese citizens releif from all the negativity of the world war. I suppose that is only another thing that attracts me to anime, and Japan in general even in the face of all that junk they just took a idea, ran with it. Now its a full bone industry that even has a good number of westerners favoring it over their own stuff.

There us lots of good ways to get one of those. A lot pf people make, and sell them as well as make their own. Do you plan to get more anime things for your collection when you have the money.

Good stuff there I saw a cosplay for Gandalf the Gray at the last con I attended. I am currently working on one for Soutoshi/Ash from Pokemon. My finance, and I are going to a anime con as Ash, and Mysty. Do you plan to collect any other cosplay gear?

I think you hit the nail on the head with this overall comparison especially with this portion. The fact is western animation is taking more from anime then anime ever has from westerners. It is nice to see, but while it is nice to see western animation is progressing that fact only attracts me to anime more then. This is because it feels like to me western animation is only now just catching up to the idea that adults actually want to watch animated content wheres in Japan this has been common kowledge for some time. With that said there are many western animations from the west that I honestly like. Avatar, and Kora for one. Also SonicSATAM, Mario Bros super show, and many of the 90s Disney cartoons.

PSNow is cool a friend, and I tried it about a year ago to play hit shots golf. Basically a anime golf game. They have a lot of retro PS, and PS2 games in their library to chose from. I'd say it will keep you entertained for a while.

I did forget to mention my cosplays.. I am working on one for use in 2019. What completed cosplays do you have in your connection. I also have one of Riku from KH, and one of Kaiba from Yugioh DM.

Its a good point that some of those old series just seem never to die take Pokemon for example that just needs to end. The games are great, but the series is gone on way to long. The other issue with these longer series is they do get bogged with filler content that sometimes can span entire arcs. I would be lying if I said I didn't like some of the extra story in Inuyasha, and Detective Conan. On the whole though I do agree agree with you. I just wish a lot of anime would finish rather then cut out before the manga ends.

Well for me I started watching anime at a very young age around 5 or so. So anime imprinted on me before western style animation did. I honestly believe that has a least something to do with it. Though beyond that I have always preferred a series with a more cereal plot structure to something more episodic like most western cartoon series. I also love the art a lot more as wwell. It is just something that is rigorous to me, and its what I am used to. Then there is so many anime game series as well as JRPGs which are more or less playable anime along with VNs which are another form of playable anime. In terms of manga all of the above holds true, but manga is what got me into graphic novels so ironically my love of manga encouraged me to try western comics as well as western graphic novel series like the walking dead. As far as what keeps me cumming back. anime, and manga are just a big part of who I am. I would say apart from that the amazing community that has grown up around it espicially now with how accepted it is. Its just a good thing to be a part of.

Fantasy is a genre that seems to have really persisted well over the years with anime. I'll provide a mixture of newer, and older series for you to check out. Vampire Knight : This one is a bit older, but not that much. Its got a dark yet funny story that keeps you hooked. Blood+/Blood+ C : This is another vampire anime a bit older mind you, but has a good develp[ted story. Blood+, and C are two separate series though C is the squeal. BloodLad : This is a good mix of dark humor with a touch of slice of life. Its good for a laugh, but don't set your expectations on high with this one. Sankarea : This is a amazing series a bit twisted honestly, but cute at times. Touches on slice of life here, and there though its mostly a dark engaging story. Yu Yu Hakusho : This is one of the oldies, but oh is it a goodie. It is a supernatural story with heavy emphasis on demons of Japanese folklore. It dose start out slow, but ramps up quickly. I won't be spoiling anything though. I hope this was helpful

I currently learning Javascript and how to incorporate it with my html. And seeing what I can make with it. (it's honestly pretty incredible figuring it out) Because being creative is fun for me
3 am, sounds rough. Hopefully you'll be able to get some sleep or do something fun soon. I use to work the night shift and it can be exhausting.

so far my game making is basic. I have made one. it was a hangman game. I'm actually working my way to a chapter on canvas. I head you can make games with that. But who knows how that will work out. I actually just started on domain object models and using some jquery (haven't gotten to far into it yet).

Very well said on this. I know for me its a case of not wanting to deal with change much like a lot of anime fans out there. We want what we have always had, and what we are used to looking it. I do certainly agree that it has come a very long way from what it was. It has potential its just up to the future now to see what will become of it.

I am finally starting to get back on a regular sleep pattern again. I was so annoyed with being up all night as nothing got done around the house, and it interfered with my walking. Glad things are back to normal with me.

And my cover pick is 4 OC Art Trades I did mostly this yr, for a close friend of mine on Deiviantart, who wanted me to draw her characters in my art style. It was fun to do, and now I used them as Character Design Samples for my Portfolio Showcasings.

@Beocat I won't necessarily dispute this, or really any of what your saying here. I do understand the logic, and reasoning behind this. Though anime is close to my heart, and in my mind it should be watched in its intended format dispute any cultural concepts. I also personally subscribe to the idea if I do not like something then I do not watch/read it etc. This is of course just my option, but is something I believe very strongly. I do however respect your input.

Gotta love the nocturnal life I am just cumming out of that was doing it for a week and a half, but decided should be up during the day more. Its hard though its peaceful at night.

Darn must have been quite the bonfire. I can't say I haven't done that. I have burned old stuff, but dvds wouldn't burn to well. That would smell, and when plastic burns it can be toxic. As for why was just serious. I know I have a very hard time parting with collectables even if I never use, or look at them often. Yes I am a major pack rat not even hiding it. ^^

Yah thats true. I wan't going to go that technical on the subject though that is very good input all the same. I know what you mean though especially the studios, and directors who push the crappy scripts on these actors without properly doing their research. I have a bit of a animation background with the adobe suite. I think in my case I do have a relative bios towards subs as a preference though thats just me.

Thats just it if something ever becomes more of a chore then a pleasure if it isn't nessisary for life, or daily needs etc then why stress. Thats why they always say never make your all time passion your job pick the 2nd one for that fir example.
