I honestly didn’t care for Komi’s 1st season, but the 2nd improved a lot. I felt the same way about Takagi. I’m also looking forward to Nagatoro 2 but am focusing on finishing off Bochi & Witch of Mercury this weekend.

I think it would’ve been better if they dialed the ecchi back just a bit, but the most uncomfortable sequences didn’t even involve Marin. In the end Gojo & Marin are just too cute a couple and I’m looking forward to season 2. I really enjoyed that one & am curious to hear what you think when you finish it.

Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around. Based on your listed favorites, I highly recommend checking out Monster (the first 30 episodes out of 74 just went up on Netflix). I’d also recommend checking out When They Cry (Higurashi, Kai, Gou & Sotsu) & Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress.

Watched the first episode of Tomo-chan is a Girl & enjoyed it a lot. Don’t know how well it will hold up for a whole season though. Hard to believe it’s the same voice actress as Takagi & Emilia (Megumin too) as she really projected a loud, brusque & tomboyish personality. Her best friend is entertaining as well (reminds me of Fenneko from Aggretsuko)

The Eminence in Shadow (episode 14) I honestly didn’t know how Cid was going to counter-attack in that situation, but I sure as hell wasn’t expecting him to go full And did they seriously just name a character Perv Asshat? While I’m still finding the series entertaining, I have to admit I’m starting to have the same problem I do with most all OP MC series, where nothing seems to offer any challenge whatsoever. At least they’ve started assigning personalities to more of his harem organization.

Fall 2022 was definitely a season of tsundere shipping for me Gaojun & Shouxue (Raven of the Inner Palace) Purin & Serufu (Do It Yourself) Miorine & Suletta (The Witch from Mercury)

Finished up Do It Yourself. Not particularly informative & the characters are pretty trope-y, but still one of my favorite CGDCT series Currently wrapping up Witch from Mercury (1st cour) & Raven of the Inner Palace. Have to say both are a couple of the season’s best.

Started watching Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. Have to say it has a different feel to it than other Gundam series I’ve attempted to watch (even the prologue episode for that matter). More emphasis on humor & high school drama, though I’m sure the military & societal aspects will increase as it progresses. Actually one of 2022’s better offerings so far.

Kinda anime adjacent, but Crunchyroll added a Fate Grand Order stage play. Haven’t gotten very far, but so far the first meeting between Mash Kyrielight & Dr. Roman.

Lycoris Recoil has the same basic storyline as Gunslinger Girl But with greater emphasis on humor, slice of life antics & shoujo ai than the heavier & more unsettling ethical aspects of Gunslinger Girl. That’s terrifying I just caught up on it myself. Unlike the other carryover series, it didn’t take a 1 week break & with only 20 eps scheduled so far, will wrap up halfway through the winter season

Currently 50F. Not a bad recovery considering it was -9 at this tine a week ago. Supposed to make a run at 60 going into the first half of the coming week, before settling into a more “normal” pattern. Edit: we actually topped 60 today

To be honest I remain skeptical whether Bofuri actually needs a 2nd season, but at least the cuteness should make the winter months more bearable (just so they don’t screw things up like they did with Science Fell in Love season 2)

I’m not as big a fan of Ghibli movies as most otaku but my faves would be Princess Mononoke, Laputa: Castle in the Sky & My Neighbor Totoro. Likewise, not really a fan of the real-world “tearjerker” style that tends to be more popular. My preferences being more fantasy or scifi.
