  1. Hi, there are quite a few other Europeans here too (myself included). Curious to see what your question is going to be.
  2. Hi there! One thing about the forum which I found helpful was the "unread content" button at the top right (and also the mark site as read there) where you can see all the new posts. Otherwise, only your first couple of posts will get moderated (because there are quite a few spam accounts that just register to spam the forums). As for shows, it really depends on what you enjoy. What's big currently is My Hero Academia, which is something many different people seem to enjoy. Otherwise, have a look at the shows in the 'Currently Airing Anime' section of the forum.
  3. Random suggestion. I saw that there's an Instagram and Twitter page for Anime Forums. Now, I don't use those but young people seem to think they are 'on fleek' 😂 And I think it might be a bit too much work for a single person to regularly update it, especially since not everybody watches every current anime.
So I thought how about a thread where users of Anime Forums can offer stuff to go on Instagram (and Twitter). Take the Dr. Stone image for example. Someone who watches Dr. Stone could make screenshot, add a small description with those hashtag-things and then upload that to the thread after each episode if they can think of something. Then those in charge of Instagram (or Twitter) can quickly browse through them and pick the ones that fit. In that way the admins don't have to do everything, and the community can shape how Instagram (and Twitter) looks.
Not sure people are actually going to participate, and also not sure if it works out, so it's just a suggestion. Don't really need an explanation or response if you guys don't want to do that though 😂

    1. Shiroe

      Shiroe

I love this suggestion! I hope others will agree.

    2. Seshi

      Seshi

That’s an awesome thought, having a community driven twitter/ insta. That way it will truly portray us as a community. I’ll write up a post soon. Thanks so much for the thoughtful suggestion

  4. Not gonna rate my own video, but found this and thought you might find it interesting as well (his 4 levels of game music are fantastic!) (not sure about the costumes though) Thought the Neon Gensis Evangelion one was on fleek
  5. 'mulling'? You know, even if you learn a language pretty well, food words can throw you off Like when I heard 'smothered chicken' I first imagined someone strangled a chicken to death I don't drink alcoholic beverage, so haven't had (mulled) wine, but after looking up what mulled is I think I get a rough idea. In case I can't find it here, if I ever get to the US I'll definitely give apple cider a try
  6. Too bad, but this happens. Who knows, maybe at some point you might continue it or make a new one about the idea. I did find the concept interesting
  7. Yeah, I also thought turning that light on at night wasn't the most thought out idea but I guess they thought it would be lame if they turned it on at day.
  8. @Saigofu Definitely agree about Gen! About Chrome though, I don't know. I mean I personally would think it would be great if it happens like you say, but that seems a tad run-of-the-mill, so not sure that's gonna happen. Still wouldn't be opposed to it What do you think will Tsukasa say about Gen?
  9. When it comes to exams specifically, I absolutely get this question. The best thing is to be well-prepared, but who is, amiright What I mean is that being in too much anxiety over upcoming exams doesn't really help. I remember this one big psychology exam which basically tested years of psychology courses and people literally spend months studying for it. For various reasons, I only had about 3 weeks to study for it and only managed to get a fraction of it. When I started studying I realized how much it actually was and freaked out, effectively leading to my wasting 1 of those 3 weeks just freaking out. At some point I realized that there is absolutely no way I could manage to get through all of the material and just started studying from the top in a less anxious way. Long story short, by chance they tested almost exactly what I studied (could just as well have failed), but I knew that it was just plain luck and learned that not being prepared can really freak you out causing you to not prepare Not caring at all on the other hand can also be bad in the sense that you aren't motivated to study. So I'd say a little anxiety is helpful, balance what you said. It does seem odd though if you think about how much money you sometimes spend on utensils and how much time you invest but still don't seem to care. Often though even if you think you don't care, you later realize that you actually did. TLDR, I think freaking out is worse than not caring, but both are worse than just being well-prepared and self-assured.
  10. Gen getting killed in episode 10 was really a surprise, but the way he survived was a bit meh. I'm also not entirely convinced by the whole tournament thing. Seemed a bit 'artificial' and not really fitting with the rest. What was more interesting I think was to see the people Tsukasa has depetrified. I also liked the whole soda thing
  11. Didn't know that, but somehow it is eerily fitting. With the whole gun, military, and bodybuilding things my stereotypical mind tended to put you in the 'not entirely effeminate' category (lack of better description), and basing your name on a guy character fits that
  12. Well, let's see. Let's assume Sasuke is sealed into Naruto and they can somehow cooperate. I guess they would have to do a lot of explaining since people would sense Narutos as well as Sasukes chakra at the same time. If they can suppress it, then I guess it wouldn't be too different from a clone jutsu where you impersonate someone? I mean Sasuke without being sealed into Naruto could just pretend to be him and it wouldn't be too different. Naruto with Sasuke inside could also just turn into Sasuke and let Sasuke take over mind-wise. The only problem would be that everything Naruto sees also Sasuke would see and vice versa, and also that you could not have them in separate places at the same time (maybe with clone jutsu somehow). Still, I think people would want them to be separated again since some like Sasuke and not Naruto, and others like Naruto and not Sasuke Powerwise I guess it would combine. With Sasuke's help they could control the Nine Tails i.e. they would have the Nine Tails' power, Sage power, as well as Sharingan, which would probably be something like in the image you quoted above. Quite powerful I'd say.
  13. Don't listen to Seshi, instead join the weekly two cents of Dr. Stone (haven't watched the latest episode but will post as soon as I do) jk, if you have the time come and join any thread you like Two questions though, what is 'facerolling', and 'welder' is someone who uses fire to join metals together right?
  14. Is it even possible to seal people into other people? I know the tailed beasts can be sealed but I thought that was just because they were essentially manifestations of chakra. I don't think you can seal actual people (only their chakra) into others, right? So for example, when Sasuke went to see Kurama he was still present in the outside world, only used his Sharingan/chakra to see what's inside. I mean, Danzo tried merging with cells of the first Hokage, but that was not what is meant here. But if it were possible to seal people, I think there could be some crazy stuff happening. Technically you could then seal a whole village into a person. But if you stick only to Naruto and Sasuke, I think the person you quoted already said most of it. It would depend on how exactly Itachi sealed Sasuke. I mean, technically you could also ask why he didn't seal Naruto into Sasuke, given that Sasuke supposedly can control Kurama. I think the question of what their combined power would be is interesting though. Can't really answer it though, probably a mix of Sharingan and Sage mode like it says in the quote.
  15. Oh, that's different then Hmm, let me think, that's actually a really interesting question. Yeah, if they can take the exams only once a year and Naruto has failed the exam before, then he should have known Tenten and the others (since they were one year before Sakura, Sasuke etc.). Now, either that's just a plot hole in the anime, or you can simply take the Genin exam more than once a year? If you can, then maybe Naruto just took it in the same year a few times, I don't know It COULD also be possible that, for whatever reason, Naruto took the exam year after year but simply didn't end up in the same classroom as the others. But I think there might be a few points that speak against this. 1) probably there is only one classroom. 2) I think they mention something like being their first year etc but I don't remember exactly.
  16. you never know right Naturally they have an interest in providing all that anime 'for free'. How did that phrase go 'If you are not paying for it, you are the product'
  17. Great stuff as before! So, I'm wondering, when do you plan on 'releasing' your story, if you plan to at all?
  18. You mean the Chunin exams right? I don't think he would be too bothered with being Chunin with the title he got at the end of the anime From what I remember Naruto took the Chunin exams two times. The one time with the whole Orochimaru thing, then went off training and years later tried to become a Chunin again but lost against Konohamaru. So technically he is still genin? But if Naruto HAD taken the exam at the next possible time, I guess he would have fought all those who didn't pass the first time? Can't remember who exactly passed at the next time but they mention it at the beginning of Shippuden when Naruto is wondering why everyone is already a Chunin or higher. But yeah interesting question who would have won there, probably Sasuke had he taken it
  19. You might already know this, but there is a live action version of Liar Game https://www.crunchyroll.com/liar-game I've read quite a bit of it, and it certainly is interesting. The only thing I might worry a bit is whether or not it will become too repetitive i.e. that it is always going to be the same with a game presented and one character saving the day, but let's see
  20. I kinda agree with both of you. Given how big CR is (or at least used to be) their site could be much better. Watching anime for free will in the end always be at the cost of anime producers. That being said, if you want to watch anime in English outside the US, it can be pretty pricey. Many of the titles are not even released because of some licensing issue. If I access CR for example, I only see a fraction of the titles someone from the US gets shown, they don't even appear on the anime titles list. And if you want to actually own them, we are often talking about 60-70 dollars per season with only a single language, no subtitles or other languages such as English (not even the original Japanese dub in most cases, even for the Ghibli movies). So I'd say if you actually have the money, you should definitely pay for as much of the anime you consume, for moral reasons as well as simply for practical reasons such as pumping money into the anime industry. If you don't have the money, you are often either left with not watching any anime or watching it illegally. That being said, getting a subscription at CR for example is around 10 bucks a month, so even if you only get a fraction of what others get to see, it might be a great compromise of paying as much as you can and watching what they offer, and either not watching the rest or illegally streaming it.
  21. Anyone either reading or watching Black Clover? As it happens I am at the same point in the anime as well as manga and was thinking which I should continue.

  22. It's all dandy dude. I've also been gone for most of August. It's great that you did revitalize this thread, because I had forgotten about it. So, who's game for Movie 2? If you guys are in, I'll post it in the Anime Movies Thread, and who knows, maybe other's will also want to watch it
  23. Oh, we all feel old around here
