You haven't lived till you have a roommate that clutters every inch of the bathroom with makeup and takes an hour to get up in the morning..... while singing the entire time.

College is a money black hole.
I need to get some more jobs. Maybe I could sell a kidney? Anyone interested in buying a kidney?

Happy Earth Day!
I feel the ground is warming As the winter chills subside I feel my life force stirring In this dark place where I hide I push one green shoot upwards As spring calls on me to grow I spread as I break free From my confinement down below As I am warmed and nourished So some tiny buds appear Inside I feel excitement As my destiny draws near My buds swell and burst open Now my waiting time is done My blossoms burst out brightly Glowing yellow as the sun And then one day each flower Turns to down, ready to fly Each seed prepares to leave me When a summer breeze sweeps by My seeds break loose and swirl off like small dancers in the air I watch them as they fly To search for their new home somewhere And I know that in springtime In whichever place they found They'll also feel the warming Of the bright sun on the ground AN - John Crowe and I chose Dandelion as a one word title and each wrote a poem with a 20 minute time limit

Seriously though, that's not so funny when I'm 54 and reading things like this. I've worked - and paid into the the system - for my entire life. Never taken a dime from it. Never even had to collect unemployment benefits, fortunately. Now I get to get in line with others (like the VA refugees) trying to collect on promised benefits after I retire. Not that it is totally unexpected of course. Our "leaders" in government never met a pile of money that they could keep their hands off of, and SS and Medicare were a couple of the biggest. Still, "I told you so" isn't going to put food on the table or pay the doctor bills when (if?) I retire.

Coal Man Loves Canary
A man minded coal for a living
The more the job took the less it was giving
His fellow workers laid about
Poisoned by the air
His head filled with doubt
He bought a canary to bring
So as long as he heard it song
He knew his life would be spared
The canary in the coal mine was always there
As the time passed the man grew to love the canary
Her songs made the cause less scary
He cherished the time as he want by
And feared the day the canary would die

Geez a lot of people I knew back in highschool are getting married or having kids already. I thought I'd at least turn 20 before everyone I knew got married. It seems like I'm the only one how hasn't changed. I'm stuck at about age 14 both mentally and physically I guess. Atleast winter is over. I went to the park last weekend. This week I'm going to try and go to a battle of the bands at my school. Hopefully no mishaps happen.
Maybe this will help me think of something for a poem.

That happened to me too. Seemed like after HS and during college everyone I knew was getting married. I started wondering if maybe I shouldn't as well. Then a few years later they were all getting divorced. I dodged a bullet there it seems.
Seriously though, I hope your cadre has better averages. Divorces can be messy, especially if there's kids involved. Frankly, the whole experience kind of put me off getting hitched myself. (Though I'm not totally against the idea, I always felt I ought to be VERY sure before I take that step and I've never met someone I've felt all that serious about. At least some of my friends got married just because it seemed the thing to do at the time. That seemed then and still seems now like an insufficient reason to me.)

Yeah I don't know if I'm ever going to get married, first because I don't think anyone wants to marry me and second because my family has a history of divorce. I just feel like I should just cut it off now. I definitely need to decide sooner rather than later though. I know people these days are getting married way into their 40s but the the true is your options become really limited by that time. Since there are less other people in your age group who are also not married and because your looks (not to mention your fertility) decline at that time as well. It's just stuff you have to think about in life I guess.

There is someone out there for all of us, don't think no one will ever want to marry you because to someone somewhere you would be perfect; I just hope you find that someone. Imo people should only date with the intention of marriage, if you date this way then you really weed through those who just wanna date for fun and those looking for a serious relationship. You are very special and I hope you find love, g'day. ♥

I just got back from an comic book convention. Here are some of pictures from it. I wore a blue Kimono and it was really embarrassing.
People said I was cute; and asked to take pictures with me, I felt silly. Oh well, now I have a ton of studying to do for stupid test. I got a bunch of comics as well. I keep distracting myself from school. The lemon thing at the bottom is a yummy lemon crape.
