  1. I don't really remember, but it was probably because I didn't think it was worth my time. However, that was mainly because the only people I did know who watched anime, only watched long running Shounens. Seeing SAO for the first time showed me that anime can actually be interesting (funny thing is that it only has a 71/100 on my list right now, which is pretty much below average for me )
  2. I can probably find better pictures for both of them if you want, but I'm fine either way.
  3. For me, it first started back in high school where a friend introduced me to a game called "Touhou." Shortly after that, I found OSTs of it to listen on Youtube, and then started to listen to remakes of touhou music, and that just lead to me listening to most anything Japanese. However, I was pretty stubborn on not watching anime until last year when my brother showed me SAO. For me, Japanese culture wasn't something that I would have been interested in unless I knew someone that I could talk to about such things.
  4. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari chapter 11

  6. Just finished today. I don't know if I've ever hated an ending so much, I probably have, I just forgot about it. [spoiler=Episode 12]Okay, so while Slaine was a good character, having him live, and killing off the other two good characters was a BAD idea. Hopefully, they are saved somehow, much like how the antagonist was saved in his backstory. Also, Inaho's sister is the most annoying character, ever. How in the world did she get her position if all she does is argue, ponder, and not come up with any good solutions? She needs to be removed if the second season will be any good.
  7. A good bit of the manga I have read is much better staying manga, but I really would like to see Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari become an anime. After all, the web novel version already "finished" (its not done publishing, but I hear that the new chapters actually start over from the beginning in the lancer's point of view, and that the story already ended several chapters ago). The web novel is something like 700 chapters, and I think that roughly 400 of them contain the entire story. So, they have plenty of material to make it work.
  8. Just read Denpa Kyoushi chapter 125. I really wish this would update faster, and the manga has declined a good bit since the beginning as well. I kinda hope this is the last arc.
  9. This doesn't really have to be a sequel, but could be a prequel or remake. I really wish there was a sequel to Angel Beats featuring a new cast of characters, and having the old cast being drawn back into the "afterlife." Also, a prequel to Fate/Zero featuring the 3rd Holy Grail War with a completely new story and cast. Spice and Wolf needs another season, as I hear the manga has enough content to do so. Shigofumi really needs a two cour remake with modern graphics, so then they can go into the characters more. Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S really needs a "true" prequel, as it strayed from the 2007 anime, but was by far superior to it. Finally, Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun really needs a sequel and not just these three minute specials. Yep, I think thats it, thanks for listening to my rambling, all of which is never going to happen Anyway, what shows would you like to see done?
  10. So, I just finished watching "My Boss, My Hero" episode 2. This is a Japanese TV drama that was a remake of a South Korean movie called "My Boss, My Teacher." So far, this series is really funny, and on the way to becoming one of my favorite non-anime TV series. Other shows that I like are Monk, Psych, Quantum Leap, and Law and Order: Criminal Intent. The former two I like as detective shows are fun to watch, but I like how they never let the show get too serious by creating situational comedy. Quantum Leap is a show I like as there is time traveling involved as well as a competent main character. For the last show, I only like the episodes with Goren as its really interesting to see how he can get the culprit to confess to their crime.
  11. So, in preparation for the second season (and the fact that I didn't have enough to watch next season), I decided to watch this whole season within a few days. My favorite character is Slaine with Inaho not being too far behind. I'm only on episode six, but I think that its pretty good so far. There isn't enough character development though, and I hope the second season can help with that some. [spoiler=Episode 6]I do think its weird that Inaho wasn't promoted to Captain, as he did save everyone on the ship twice already, and has more smarts than the rest of the group combined. (Except for maybe Marito).

  13. Welcome to Anime Forums, Dimir! Hope you enjoy your stay I could probably suggest a lot of series for you, but since you like Madoka Magica, you might want to try out Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru. Its a show that I watched during the Fall season which just finished. Although, I have yet to watch Madoka Magica, I hear the two are very similar.
  14. What do you think is the best introductory anime is? For me, it was SAO. Actually, before I watched SAO, I didn't really even give anime a shot. It wasn't until my brother saw SAO, and showed it to me. Now I have over 30 days recorded on my list... what have I done? I also, think Clannad and Kanon (2006) would both be good introductory anime. Other titles that are on the top of my list like Angel Beats and Steins;Gate, I would probably suggest after the person gets at least a few shows watched first.
  15. Well, I guess this should be expected since I finished Angel Beats, but new favorite character with wings:
  16. I don't usually do new year resolutions, but I want to make sure I stay active on this site throughout next year. Perhaps there are other things as well, but nothing really comes to me at the moment. I guess I'll edit this post if I think of anything else.

    [VN] NEKOPARA

I watched the trailer for this back when it was first announced, and if I remember correctly, I even played the demo for it. But to be honest, I kinda forgot about this game due to fault milestone one coming out around the same time. I might get the game considering it has a score of 8.53 on VNDB. But it will have to wait, as I will be starting my Steins;Gate VN soon.
  18. Earlier this year, I attended the Sakura Matsuri Japanese Street Festival, and while I was there, I tried out some taiyaki. It was decent, but when I got home, I added some whip cream to the leftovers, and it tasted really good. I've also have been to a Japanese restaurant where they actually make the food in front of you (which is really cool), and their seasoned shrimp was really good. Don't know if either of those count, but it will be the closest I will get until I eventually visit Japan.
  19. I just finished this anime and what can I say? Except that it was amazing, and tied for my favorite anime with Steins;Gate.
  20. Happy birthday, Tear! Hope you have a great day :)

  22. Are there any genres that you specifically enjoy? Maybe even to the point that you rate anime with that genre considerably high even if the anime itself wasn't that great? For me, comedy is one of my favorite genres, but its not uncommon that I come across anime that just has dry comedy, and I'll rate those kinda low. However, I would say that the action and comedy genres tend to score higher on my list than most other genres.
  23. Welcome to Anime Forums! Hope you enjoy your stay You know, I do that a lot as well, but then I won't even complete half of what I set out to finish And looking at your list, you reminded me that I still need to play Tales of Symphonia sometime soon.
  24. I think that the closest I've ever done is two days. I know I did that with Code Geass, and maybe Steins;Gate as well (although, im not entirely sure of the latter).
