  1. The shows were marketed to children, often teenagers who, I hate to tell you, are generally horny. And in America the cartoons generally try to pretend that isn't the case, so by sexualizing anime they hit a market and made boat loads of money. By the time the 90s rolled around it was a trope
  2. I DO NOT have a screenshot of it, but I came across an anime clip on Facebook which had a scene where one female character mentions to a male that her swimsuit is “skintight”, and then exposes her nipple to him. Next part, the male character shares a swimsuit with another female character or the same one, can’t remember. And then dive down in the pool. I’m not sure whether it was a piece of hentai or from an anime series of some sort, but could someone please help me as soon as possible to identify that Anime series and Episode? I Thanks.
  3. I am new here to my name is animeguy i create anime pics online myself i am a true otaku my first anime game i ever played was pokemon i just love anime
  4. 0 This is probably going to be the most unhelpful information to go off of but this is all I can remember. There's this anime show/movie (I can't even remember which!) from the 90s. The main character is this rich girl that drives a corvette. I can't remember if it was red or pink. She is like an assassin but not like your ordinary assassin in the since she's all seemingly innocent and whatnot (of course) There's some military dude involved that doesn't like her either. I remember a scene that involved being at like some fancy dinner party that was crashed....I don't know. She works for this silent organization that fights "evil" corporations. There was some offshore site that she had to take out. I wish I had more information. It's driving me insane. I feel like her name might even be in the title. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN lol.
  5. Tabi no Yukue (Loved the new anime's opening scene. Hope the rest lives up to it.)
  6. Can anyone tell me which anime the image on this shirt is from? Thanks
  7. I want to know if there is any Slice of life anime where the MC breaks down/snaps at any point. It can have magic but no Sci-fi or High-Fantasy.
  8. Hi everyone! It's been a while since I've been here and to be completely honest, I never thought I would return... I joined the forum in June 2019 and by the beginning of 2021 I came to the decision to sell my entire anime collection. Partly because I wanted the money and partly because I felt I was outgrowing my interest in anime. So, I did the stupid thing and sold the entire lot to someone on Ebay for a steal! And, up until very recently, never looked back... Since then, I have collected other things and basically moved on with my life. I haven't even watched a single anime since! Regardless I hold many of the anime shows I've seen in incredibly high regard. Nothing I've collected since then has stuck with me. I've continuously lost interest in everything. My mind, however, occasionally wonders back to anime. Something has changed, however. Anime has come crashing back into my mind! I've become consumed with the thought of starting over and building something better than I had before! So, I made the first move and purchased the first anime that's going to be the start of my new collection... I am now officially waiting for Stein's Gate to arrive! And I'm SOOO excited! It's going to be like a homecoming for me when it arrives! I added a pic of my old collection. The one I no longer have. And even though it's a slight bummer to not have it anymore and having to start over from scratch, there's something wildly exciting to begin again. And this time, I'm in it for the long haul!

  10. Now that the Wii U and 3DS servers are down I have a confession to make, I totally missed out on playing Splatoon 1... I had a Wii U back when the first game released and since then I was just too busy with anything anime and PC gaming-releated... I got the game on Christmas but never played it because I was already fearing that everyone was already at a higher level than me since launch and I was fearing that I will get nailed online in seconds... So I missed out on what Splatoon 1 had to offer like Turf wars and Splatfests, sadly I never made any memories of seeing Callie and Marie perform on stage during splatfests, partcipated in online matches against other inklings online nor partcipated in any Splatfests... I don't if I can still make any memories of play Splatoon 1 right now.... So I am kinda late in getting into the Splatoon series. I know the other games Splatoon 2 and 3 on the Switch still have online but still... I never made any memories of playing the first Splatoon game online and I don't even know if the Story modes are even connected to the other games or just separate stories that are like disconnected because I would like to play the games in chronological order.... But the only memories I made about Splatoon 1 is watching other people play the game on Youtube and cosplaying as an inkling boy wearing a Squid girl outfit. (Yes there was a Squid girl outfit in the original game.) So I just feel guilty coming in late to the Splatoon fandom....
  11. Someone from MAL helped me. Perhaps this is useful for other people here: Unfortunately, there is no "magic" tag on MAL (maybe you can try adding fantasy from advanced search, to make it closer to magic category). Copy all the link below for your search: (i made the link for post 2015 action tag with 7+ score) https://myanimelist.net/anime.php?cat=0&q=&type=0&score=7&status=0&p=0&r=0&sm=1&sd=1&sy=2015&em=0&ed=0&ey=0&c[0]=a&c[1]=b&c[2]=c&c[3]=f&genre[0]=1&o=3&w=1
  12. PW is more like WOW or something more than an anime-style game. It's a Chinese game originally and most of the settings like temples and things in it have a very distinct Chinese look to it, not really anime. Most of the phone games and stuff though do have an anime look to them. But yeah, one of the main reasons I like PW is all the customizations, you can sit there and spend hours just customizing one character lol. I like playing Veno's but they are squishy like most magic users. The power of a veno is in the pets they are able to summon/use. If a veno gets whacked by something like a Barbarian or type of tank character it isn't going to last very long. That being said, with the pet you have 2 ways of attacking the other person and you can use melee based pets that can tank, so they become somewhat annoying to try to take out lol ~
  13. Greetings and welcome to Anime Forums!
  14. Nice to meet you! Always been a forum person but never jumped into the anime side of it! My favorite anime right now is probably Chainsaw Man, but I've seen a lot of shows! 86, Cowboy Bebop, Angel Beats, and Violet Evergarden are some others I'm big on! I recently started watching One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (I know I'm really late to the party). I'm also really big on music. I'm a big r&b fan, and also like a lot of EDM. Kind of just exploring around, any recommendations are welcome!
  15. I couldn't find the source for the image below. But the artist's name is in the bottom right-hand corner just to clarify.
  16. If you could only watch one anime for the rest of your life, what would you watch? For me, Seven Deadly Sins, or Pokémon.
  17. Hi everyone, Just a small addition, which some of you have already started to use. There is now a MAL button on the editor. You can use it to embed an anime, manga or character block. Just copy and paste the ID number before you paste it inside the MAL URL into the overlay when you click the editor button. The information will update periodically which is good for currently airing titles in the season. Best place to use it is in your first post if you're starting a topic on an anime, manga or character. Anime example: [mal type=anime id=17947] Character example: [mal type=character id=2010]
  18. Mine would have to be Orange Spice Tea. While I don't drink it as often as I do coffee, its a great pick me up later in the day. Overall, I find hot fruity tea to be my favorite types of tea.
  19. Hello everybody ! First ever post . Soo today my anime lamps just came in. What do you think about them, do you like them ? Rate them from 1 to 10 (huge anime nerd, so i bought 3)
  20. I've been thinking and thinking about an anime I cannot find since the first time I watched it. It is bothering me that I cannot find it through any normal means of searching. This anime has a whole bunch of kids in a more modern day. The kids all have swords, but the average public cannot see them. The MC notices the kids with swords but is found out. He is helped by another kid with a word to find out how to obtain his by finding out the error in his life and the next time they meet they will have to fight. Is there anyone who can help me find this anime or give me some suggestions to what it might be?
  21. do you guys know of that anime where girl gets into an accident where theyre covered in bandages and paralyzed and now they talk (type) through a screen, then theres this guy in a suit who likes her and cares for her in this state and when she dies (said thanks to the guy and stuff) guy kills himself , it was set in this like post apocalyptic setting? thank you in advance
  22. I tend to avoid box sets nowadays, but I just prefer to buy all of an anime that I like (if it's at an acceptable price anyway) in one go, so I like to buy the full $30 or $40 on an anime with one season instead of 23 or so separate DVD or blu-ray released of a certain number of episodes per DVD or blu-ray like Bleach or Naruto Shppuden has. I don't have streaming as an option to watch anime (maybe at some point we will, but I'm not very optimistic about the chances of that happening) and even though I rewatch a lot of my anime even I like to get new anime series or movies. I'm talking things like Hellsing, Chrono Crusade, Witch Hunter Robin, Witchblade complete series in one full release of all of the episodes instead of running the risk of buying some of an anime only to have no way to buy the rest. I've got Fullmetal Alchemist, but only the complete season one when I thought it was the whole series. I can't get the complete season two of its DVD all-in-one release now because of the ridiculously skyrocketed price people have it listed for, so I can't ever get the complete second season DVD purchase to have the whole series. The main reason why I prefer to buy anime with only one or two seasons (or anime movies) is to avoid that kind of situation I'm in with my only having Fullmetal Alchemist complete season one without having any way of getting the FMA complete season two all-in-one DVD release. It makes sense in my mind at least.
  23. I don't find it boring, but at the same time I can't buy anime as often as I used to because our little family at home isn't making as much as it used to. So, I can only get anime or a game sometimes after a while, but because I don't really have any way to explore any different anime I like to just try to buy anime from series I'm more familiar with which, like @Sakura, is from the 90's or early 2000's. That, and I can't afford to buy anime that would require buying more than 1 season to watch anymore. I seldom make exceptions, but only for anime with a maximum of 2 seasons. When it comes to more recent anime though, they tend to have more seasons than I can afford to get when I can only get a game or anime at a time now. At least that's what mom said to me... I'm paraphrasing though.
  24. Nier Automata: The End of YoRHa Edition (Nintendo Switch): I finished 2B's route (Route A) and started the route of 9S (Route B). I've unlocked every minor alternate ending that was available to unlock for 2B and I think I've unlocked the only minor alternate endings there are for 9S, so the save file I'm using has most of the letters of the alphabet to show that. I like to keep a Mackarel in my inventory though in case I want to see that alternate ending again because I've triggered it twice in a row when I was going through Route A and that was one I got from fishing, so I unlocked it a little early. I'm curious to see if it works in the other Routes though, as well as the one that's unlocked by self-destructing in the Bunker. I've collected all of the weapons that 2B could obtain in Route A.In Route B as 9S I've hacked a handful of the locked chests so far and gotten the Type-40 Fists combat bracers, Phoenix Sword large sword, annnnnd... I'm probably forgetting one... but I might not be... it's hard to say with how many weapons I've managed to amass so far. ^^; I'm only in Chapter 2 which is when 9S and 2B first go to the Resistance Camp in Route B and complete the quests from there, but I haven't talked to Anemone again just yet. I was surprised when I saw the plug-in chips that enemies drop are different when playing as 9S in Route B as opposed to the enemy plug-in chips that drop for 2B in Route A, but I don't really know why it was so surprising because it makes sense. It's pretty fun hacking enemies with 9S though, that's for sure. lol The mini-games are interesting, and it feels pretty good to know that there's still things in this game left to discover. ^^
