anime comes in all kinds of shapes and forms with different genres, music and, of course, art! so what are some of your favourite anime artstyles? being an artist myself, whenever i watch something i can't help but admire the different styles and artistic aspects, so i definitely have to few. the first being... violet evergarden! an amazing show with a stunning artstyle. every scene is gorgeous <33 next we have bubble! there are some absolutely breathtaking scenes in this anime that never fail to deliver next up, we have a more generic (but equally as amazing) one. heaven official's blessing ^^ i don't know what it is about this artstyle, but i find it very satisfying. also the art in the opening and closing??? HELLO????? this time, a very different approach to the anime style. panty and stocking! it's a very unique style that stands out, and i love it with its vibrant colours and bold shapes and how could i forget the studio ghibli artstyle??? it's iconic and beautiful (not to mention the food! it always looks delicious ) and finally, we have danganronpa. while i will admit it doesn't have the prettiest style, danganronpa has been one of my favourite franchises for years now, and it's had a big impact on many aspects of my life, including my own artstyle for a long time! it's iconic, and one i hold dearly to my heart <33 but yeah, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg! some honourable mentions are: neon genesis evangelion, toilet bound hanako kun, kotaro live alone and many more ^^

I know Harvest Moon! I have some time the next upcoming week to play a new game so I am going to check into it. Oh wow the trailer of this Cities: Skylines game looks amazing. Much different than the little phone games I usually play I really want to look that up now ~! Oh nice, I prefer a lot of anime games so that might be pretty neat

I have a MAL but forget to use it all of the time. A lot of the time I will browse Crunchyroll for new animes that I just have not seen or what looks interesting.

I just finished Frieren recently. While I agree with it being the best thing to air over the past 6 months, I have to feel it’s current ranking on MAL is overstating things. With the 2024 winter anime series ending it's time for the binge watching to start!! First up was A Sign of Affection. I found this to be a wonderfully wholesome Slice of Life series about Yuki, a young girl who had been deaf from birth and lived all her life communicating by sign language and writing messages on her phone, tablet or notebook then into her silent world came Itsuomi, a guy a few years older than her who falls in love with her and takes her out of her little silent world and introduces her to a whole wide world that she didn't know anything about. This series has an excellent storyline and a good cast of believable characters, I especially liked the sensitive way they handled Yuki's character and the way her lack of hearing impacted the way she interacted with the those around her.

Nice to meet you! Always been a forum person but never jumped into the anime side of it! My favorite anime right now is probably Chainsaw Man, but I've seen a lot of shows! 86, Cowboy Bebop, Angel Beats, and Violet Evergarden are some others I'm big on! I recently started watching One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (I know I'm really late to the party). I'm also really big on music. I'm a big r&b fan, and also like a lot of EDM. Kind of just exploring around, any recommendations are welcome!

Saw at the cinema today Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out - the 2nd sequel film to the Bunnygirl-senpai tv series, with the focus on Kaede’s struggle to overcome the extreme social anxiety which previously led to her living as a hikikomori for 2 years. Very emotional with a strong advocacy of alternative educational methods & learning/finding acceptance for being different (not “normal”). Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid - the 3rd film , focusing on an unexpected “complication” of the Azusagawa family trying to reconcile & overcome the mutual trauma that resulted in the parents & children living separately. Also greater focus on Sakuta & Mai’s deepening relationship as they get closer to leaving high school & becoming young adults. This one hit me on a much more personal level emotionally & actually made me tear up. Added to my list of all-time favorite anime movies. Both movies were very emotional, while also having the humorous (and in the case of Sakuta/Mai, flirtatious) verbal sparring the franchise is known for. I wasn’t initially a fan, but the deeper I get into it, the more appealing I find it. Definitely recommended for fans of Haruhi Suzimiya (personally I like it better). The one major complaint is that you need to have seen the previous material to keep up with the story. Which is further complicated by the fact that none of the movies are currently streaming legally in the US. This theatrical double feature was extremely limited (one day only for the sub version & dub version the next day only). And the blu ray of the first movie is priced at a premium. And it will only get more difficult for newcomers since the after credit scene revealed that a new animated entry has been green-lit (no word on if it will be a 4th movie or a 2nd season).

I find anime to be an amazing form of entertainment to enjoy and take me out of the insanity of reality. My first real anime I watched in Japanese was Black Butler back when I went to my first anime club meeting back in high school and since then I created a list of animes. FLCL, Toradora, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sword art Online, Another, Future Diary, Jellyfish Princess, Fairy Tale, Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, The Girl who lept through time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children and Re:Zero, my list goes on. I also like to cosplay too, I cosplayed as Hilbert from Pokemon Black and White, Ame from Wolf Children, Kirito from Sword art Online, Natsu Dragneel from Fairy Tale, An Inkling boy wearing a Squid Girl outfit from Splatoon, and I cosplayed as Tanjiro Kamado from Demon Slayer, I am like 29 years old (an adult about to be 30 in 2024) and I am looking for people that are the same age as me that like to cosplay anime characters. I am still really shocked/sad about this. Dragon Ball was one of the 1st animes I ever watched and I think it was the first anime that I realized was "anime" as in, it got me interested in watching other animes.

It's a cute little anime style game called "The Legend of Neverland". I guess it's a lot like Genshin if I had to compare it to a popular game.

First of all Hello! I like many of you am a fond lover of anime. and consider myself a 48 year old Otaku! now that being said I have come across a slight problem and am looking to my fellow anime lovers out there in the world and cyberspace to hopefully be able to help me. so her is my problem as well as request. I have been trying to find a comprehensive list of Ranked skills used in the fantasy anime genre ( to include isekai). unfortuneatlyI have come across very little in that regard..... so I am hoping for anything that would give me a hand. mainly I am looking for a skill list using the letter ranking system up to SSS ranks. and if possible a brief description of said skills usage and pro as well as cons that can come with those skills. ( to include limits on how many skills is typical from average everyday adventurer to Hero of the world/defeater of the -Insert Big bad of choice-) any and all help and guidance would be greatly appreciated, even if it is to a little known table top rpg... just not DnD due to it not really having said ranking system once agin thanks for any help as well as taking the time to read my humble...yet at the same time " Mount Everest" of a request
