Looking for an anime that is much like The Seven Deadly Sins, funny in places, serious in places, good characters with a fantasy or supernatural element. Tend to enjoy watching over powered characters I guess. Struggling as i quite like to watch dubbed anime. I often like anime with a small adult theme / not specifically aimed at children (often find that the stories can be a lot more intricate and intense). Also liked things like Bleach, Naruto Shippuden. Vampire Knight, High School DnD (only explored anime such as this with this title, did enjoy it though, so wouldn't mind others like this). Any kind of recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Everyone! I am designer from Toronto, Canada and I am designing a few Studio Ghibli Enamel Pins. However, there is a slight twist. I'm a big Samurai fan and so I thought it'd be cool to mix up my two fav things... Samurais + Ghibli = I have already made 8 designs which include (No Face, Haku, Totoro, Cat Bus, Mirrored Haku, Moro, Chuu & Ko, and Boh & Yu-Bird.) So i'm pretty happy about 7 of them and they are already locked in. I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys, maybe even another design idea? However, I wrote this for genuine advice on this design, and would love to hear from you guys Just to get an idea of the theme, here are the other designs

So here we are, Panic! at the disco's High hopes MV. Lets get into it, shall we? Okay, so the video starts off with Brendon stepping out of a car (0:07), well-dressed as usual. His exit from the car is timed perfectly with the music and is the perfect time for his reveal. When first the words "High, high hopes" are sung we can see the camera moves upward and focuses on the sky-scrapers; this makes us think of how high sky-scraper's are immediately and prepares us for the rest of the MV very well, a great start. The on-screen text fades but not before we see it pass behind Brendon (0:23), this serves better for the camera angle chosen seeing as otherwise we would merely see the tree behind Brendon; simply, it is more aesthetically pleasing. While Brendon sings "High, high hopes" we can see that he is looking upward, again, its the small things that make all the difference, this was very well choreographed. As Brendon sing the line "I was gonna be that one in a million" (0:32) the shot is just perfect, with the people passing him by right in front of him and the cars and numerous people in the background it really shows how many people their are, yet he is still the main focus of the shot standing precisely in the middle of the shot; perfect. As Brendon walks down the side-walk we can see him getting shouldered by many people (0:37); we can attribute this to the many hard-ships he has faced (many of which we can see in "Hey look ma, I made it") such as losing his other band members and many more hardships. We can see he is distressed as he turns around because it is written all over his face yet as he continues walking he takes yet another shoulder, this time however he does not look back at all and yet continues walking forward confidently; this shows us that he has taken control, he doesn't care what people say or what hard-ships get in the way, he is doing this. As the lyrics state in "Emperor's new clothes", "I see it, I want it, I take it" and as Brendon said in an interview on said song: "I wanted a song that says, 'this is mine. I do what I do because I feel that its my right. I own this, and I've earned it, and I deserve every bit that I put into this work". This is the kind of transformation I feel like we are witnessing in the music video for High hopes. At 1:03 when Brendon sings the words, "Momma said, don't give up" he looks upward at the towering building before him, obviously symbolizing the challenges he would have to face in his career; Brendon looks intimidated at first but immediately gets down to it and begins scaling the building just as the Chorus breaks in again, simply fantastic! The entire scene of Brendon's walk up the building is fantastic, this MV fits perfectly with the Lyrics and is just really beautiful to watch. As Brendon nears the end of the climb he slips and nearly falls (2:13) just as he start's singing "They say its all been done but they haven't seen the best of me", he then conquers the climb and makes it to the top of the building, solidifying his victory and new beginning. Again, just wanted to point out how wonderfully choreographed and performed this MV was, Brendon could honestly be an actor. After he has reached the top of the tall building till the end of the video (just as the whole video was) is perfect. We can see his logo stapled atop the building, I believe this tells us he was always destined to make it to the top, like his momma said "Fulfill the prophecy" he has done it and accomplished his destiny. Okay guys, so that was a rather quick and to the point review, I hope you liked it! Feel free to comment below and be sure to appreciate the beauty around you so you will realize just how beautiful your day truly is! ~♥

hi everyone! i've never used a forum to post questions before but i need recommendations and i thought this would be a good place to go. i'm always having a hard time finding an anime i can really enjoy bc the only genre im really deeply interested in is fantasy and supenatural types (anime with monsters, demons, or vampires is probably my favorite haha) and while its not too terribly hard to find fantasy/supernatural anime i dont always like the super serious stuff :// so im wondering if there is any good fantasy animes that are more slice of life style?? like something fun and different with supernatural elements but in a less serious atmosphere. i find i'll enjoy certain anime until they start to get super serious, i just want something fun! please send me any recs you can think of! p.s. im open to recs of any type of fantasy/supernatural anime you might think i should watch but im mainly looking for something less serious

Yuuta is just your typical guy who enjoys an ordinary school life with his childhood friend Yuuna. Suddenly one day, a mansion appeared in his backyard, inhabited by the vampire princess Luce. One by one, other other-worldly princesses came to him, all of whom had made a childhood promise to be his bride when they grew up. He didn’t remember the promises, but then Yuuna also joined into the fray and proclaimed that she’s the one who will always be with him. source: VNDB(abyyy) officially translated by: Mangagamer (alas, not on steam) pretty much you're average, "Mc is a thot gets sent to other dimensions, and make's the world's princess fall for him, but coincidentally, has amnesia about it" type of VN, but yea, its pretty much comedy-ish, and nothing too "exciting" like, fighting scenes and such, (atleast, i didn't see any fight scenes), and is more focused on the story of certain princess, and how they met the MC/winning over the Mc's heart so far i finished one route; being julia's, and midway on karin's route, after karin's im somewhat interested in knowing yorihime's and luce's story, not so much on luluna, as i have this wierd feeling, i know how her story ends >.>, also best girl oh right, also, as its made by <MOONSTONE>, somewhat famed for making <erogenous games>, (e.g. imouto series) as expected, this too contains R18 scenes, that probably doesn't have a non R18 version, probably, i never did my research, so you have been forwarned early~!

I wanted to make this topic in this group since I've gotten back into the whole " Magical Girl " genera in anime or manga. I grew up watching / reading more other animes or even mangas things at the time but later stopped for a bit to try other types of genera's out there for a while. Then I discovered some that I never knew was consider a " Magical Girl " anime or manga. So far I just noticed anime ones like Tweeny Witches and Kill La Kill. ( Which I watched the series and ❤ but .. yet to finish them.. ύ.ὺ ) I thought they were just like any other type of genera, but I guess I was mistaken and did not take a closer look at it. m/(>.<)\m Have anyone here heard of those series I mention? Or know of any others out there you never knew was consider one of this genera?

Hi! I recently signed up on crunchyroll and discovered the anime Magical Girl Ore. Some quick research showed that it is based off of a manga originally published in 2012 that consists of 2 volumes. However, I can not find these volumes anywhere. I'm finding it impossible to even find any information about whether or not an english translation exists. Does anyone have any information as to where I could find this manga? It seems crazy that it would be released as an anime available in North America but not the manga, which would help promote it. I DID find a french translation which also leads me to believe an english one must exist. Maybe it is just translated under a different name? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hey I'm new to anime and I've watch a couple of shows like fairytale and fukka, and more I like the high school/magic/Romance one any suggestions?
-
Anyone else that liked this older magical girl title? The pacing of the plot is absolutely spot on from Madoka's point of view, her going from a happy life, slowly turning into a battle of morality and inner turmoil among those close to her after discovering a parallel world of magical girls battling witches. Secondly well, it's not your typical magical girl title with moe fan service. There is some action, but it's most definitely a psychological thriller for the reasons stated above. Definitely a must-see to those that haven't watched it before.

Normally I don't care for popularity polls and such, but why not? Who overall is your favorite Madoka Magica character, and why so? This is going to be a shock, I know, but my favorite is Homura for a number of reasons. Between her fighting style, her looks, her personalities and the changes she went through (especially the final one), she really appealed to me overall.

It's quite intense. And the anime, it's gonna get really gruesome. I've also noticed that they make episodes out of parts of a chapter. Anyone else reading? And what are your though?

So ill sum up this episode Ruler is being mean Flashback to when Mary said mean thing to mean Ruler Ruler is mad Ruler plans to to a mean thing Ruler tries to steal candies Ruler gets got End of Ruler Good riddance Swim Swim becomes new ruler Omg thank you Nemu for inspiring Swim Swim Rip Nemu Don't Rip Ruler Futanari kid pledges to Snow White Long live Snow White Creepy goth girl says creepy thing Ending of episode Conclusion: Very good episode, still going strong.
-
Episode three was pretty good, it touched up on the Nemu thing and revealed the dark secret to the other magical girls. Near the end of the episode there was a new rule added that let magical girls transfer candies, naturally, Snow White becomes a target by Tama, Swim Swim and the twins (ruler chicks group) Im expecting a fight to start and the show start to turn into a more action-suspense-esque MG show like Madoka Magika Episode rating: 9/10 Still a good show

This is late, i know. I'm making this post on the release date of EP3 so ill be making two posts. This episode: Deeper explanation of the end of EP1 Touches on character backstory a little more Introduces cute character (Nemugin) RIP Nemu Cri Depression Good episode 9/10
-
Observations: Pre-Intro was kinda unnerving. Cute OP Cute characters. Trap?? Kinda? Half Trap? Nice vibes. (although, Gakkou Gurashi and Madoka Magica, Nuff said) Energetic MC who loves everyone Extremely serious ED Conflict introduced after ED Summary of the show says stuff about a battle royal to become the ultimate magical girl so im expecting the next few episodes to turn dark very fast. First episode throws you off and then it gets really dark. Conclusion: I think the show could turn out to be very good, i think it has the potential to become one of the leading shows in the Fall 2016 season. Looking Foward to it

I just want to know if the madoka magica movies any good? Are they worth watching? Do they continue the plot of the anime or are they seperate stories?

What's the age rating? How mature is it? Is it too much? I need answers.

Putting aside the rather bleak ending of Rebellion... Who do you prefer more - Ultimate Madoka or Homucifer and why? Ultimate Madoka gets my vote due to her pure elegance.
