Any Transformers fans here? This is my Optimus Prime cosplay I made for myself out of cardboard. I started working on it since November 2023. I used cardboard, aluminum foil, red and blue paint even made the decals from the original toy from the 1980s on MS Paint and I liked how the decals came out, the decals I recreated on Paint really looked how the decals looked you had to insert on the original Optimus Prime figure or Battle Convoy. (If you are familiar of how the original Transformers toys originated from the Diaclone Toyline from Takara Tomy same for Microchange.) I worked so hard on this, one problem is that tried to put on the pauldrons I made out of cardboard and used paper towel holders for the smoke stacks but I don't know how to find a way to put them on my arms with the material I have at my house. Anyways, I am so proud of creating this cosplay, I even made videos showing off my home-made Optimus Prime cosplay on TikTok LOL! Yes, I made TikTok videos of me in cosplay, and making this Optimus Prime cosplay and showing it to my TikTok audience is a huge step up of my time cosplaying on this platform. And I will be wearing this at Fanimecon 2024 at the masquerade. Me wearing my Optimus Prime cosplay.

Other Awesome Mech Anime Besides Mobile Suit Gundam
Unicoisthebomb93 posted a question in Recommendations
So yeah I’ve been watching the original Gundam classic mech anime from the 70’s and have watched 24 of the 43 episodes and love it a lot. So um what I’ve seen mech anime wise varies as the mech anime I’ve watched and completed and enjoyed is a wide variety. Ahem here goes Towanoquon Film Series, Casshern Sins, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet, Code Geass, SSSS.Dynazenon, Valrave the Liberator, Blue Gender, SSSS.Gridman, Eighty-Six first season, Gun x Sword Cowboy mech anime and it’s badass, Gurren Lagann, Full Metal Panic! First two seasons, The Big O a huge number of years ago when it was on Adult Swim, Knights of Sidonia, Bokurano, Scrapped Princess don’t know if this counts, Genocyber. So what other older or newer mech anime films, or OVAs, or shows do y’all recommend? here’s my Anilist https://anilist.co/user/Dazaithebest73/animelist I'm also watching Gasaraki, Armored Trooper VOTOMS, Iron Blooded Orphans, Voltes V, and Magic Knight Rayearth this month. -
A discussion of any piece of Soukyuu no Fafner media out there- perhaps how you liked it, what you thought could've been better...

What do you guys think a 3D Open world Mega Man game would look like? Just imagine you're in the year 20XX, the X series hasn't been created yet(though that doesn't mean that and the powers inthat game can't be refered to in some way) and the world is essentially an Ecumenopolis, a planet wide city. You still have robot masters to defeat and a whole world to explore. What would the game play be like? I wanna stay away from the whole amnesia trope that BOTW has to elicit a feeling of discovery but I still want discovery to be a huge aspect of the game. My thoughts are that Mega Man has the ability to take on 3-4 job classes at once. And by job classes I mean the powers bestowed onto Rock by either defeating robot masters or scanning their data. Rock would essentially work as a hands on Civil Servant. He takes on jobs like Kitty Wrangler, Volunteer Firefighter(Aqua Man Abilities), Mover/ Construction worker(Guts Man abilities). Each power has 3-4 different types of uses and allows him to either traverse the world around him in interesting ways or let him deal with obstacles in the way like with Gutsman's carrying powers. He was just created in this world and is the "first" of his kind that can have multiple abilities like this, not knowing Proto Man was already created. but Rock and Roll are the two parts of Proto Man that needed to be separated in order to not have insubordination. Essentially Rock would have the powers and the more obedient mind to carry our orders while Roll would have the super intelligence to coordinate Rock externally much like you see in The Oracle from the Batman series/comics or Futaba in Persona 5. Whats the mystery though? I could just have it be character driven like why both programs in Proto Man couldn't run simultaneously and ended up corrupting him but it can also maybe refer to the world illustrate how the sigma virus started? I also want the world to have a bit of discovery elements to it and maybe through the different aspects of the world, you realize that combinations in programming cause the robots to malfunction and it's your job to fix it or make sure it doesn't happen again. Maybe there's a scrap pile for all of the thrown out robots and you can get weirdly "cronenberg-y" with it with Robots tryin to assemble and create deformed looking versions of themselves. Maybe in a less horror note, the robots have found a sanctuary that allows them to be away from the busy bustling life of humans and have learned to live amongst nature like the so called murder robots in Laputa Castle in the Sky. How would Rock deal with that and is that enough for the sense of discovery? How would one in this type of setting get the BOTW sense of discovery though? I'm curious about your thoughts.

I have to say that I am extremely pissed about how Aldnoah ended. First what the heck is with the girl, (Princess Asseylum Vers Allusia) Okay, so sorry to whoever hasn't seen it yet, but at the beginning but that has nothing to do with why I don't like the ending, so let me get right to the point. This girl made two guys fall in love with her without realizing it herself and what I am about to say next is the reason why I don't like it. *(Side note): It isn't even really a love triangle because that would mean that each person loved the other at the end of the arrows, this is more like a love angle. Love Triangle: Love Angle:

No matter how many times I watch it, no matter how I look at it, I can't see the ending of Gurren Lagann as anything other than a bad joke. Simon goes through all that suffering only to wind up with nothing. Not only that, he acts as if losing Nia isn't that big of a deal. Nia was kidnapped, tortured, and ultimately died for nothing. Her death accomplished nothing and it wouldn't have made any difference to the plot if Simon had left her to die. If that wasn't insulting enough, Rossiu not only escapes punishment for all he did but is able to live out his life with the woman he loves. If Simon didn't deserve that then what makes Rossiu worthy of it? Why doesn't anyone else realize that the only thing Gurren Lagann proves is that the Joker was right all along? What do you know that I don't?

I joined this forum a couple weeks ago and I've been trying to submit information to those with questions regarding an anime they saw in the past (Recommendations Section). If you saw something in the early 2000's or 90's...post your question if you're looking for the name of or information regarding an older anime in the Recommendations section. I'll try to answer this week or next week if I recognize the title. Even if I don't recognize your description entirely; I can still try to point you in the right direction. If you posted 'looking for...' context in Recommendations; check to see if I haven't already written an answer. I joined Anime Forums to help people find or rediscover classic anime. I know over 300 classic titles by memory and have knowledge of some rarities which never made it out of Japan. If it's regarding manga, though...I'm not quite as helpful (I never read manga quite like I watch anime). Advise is free...take it ✌

Hey everyone, sorry for such a long wait for the next blog post. Between mostly working a lot and this past week being sick I haven't posted anything so I better stay on top of it more. That being said it's review time. Also like always I'll try to not spoil the show but sorry if I do. If you don't know this about me I watch anime or read manga every free chance I get and in doing so I watch a lot of shows at one time. I'm always on the look out for something new or if a favorite gets another season I am all over it. I watch a few different internet sites like crunchyroll or on netflix. Recently I binged watched an Netflix original called Levius (pronounced Lay-ve-us). It's also the main characters name. This anime although may be classified as sporting since it revolves around a sport called metal boxing I would have to say it's a bit more of a drama type. The aesthetics of the world surrounding them is like 1940'ish with a steampunk vibe. They have mecha advancements and such. Metal boxing is boxing with arms that basically are replaced with mecha like structures. The world is a bit different as when in you get a short history of the mechanism that drives metal boxing. Something called Agatha water has a unique ability to interact with human blood producing steam. However the steam that's created can be manipulated by the user (blood donor) in other words. The first episode starts off with him already in the ring fighting an opponent like a quick glimpse of things to come. By the end of the episode and the next one is really how it all starts. A young boy from a war torn town. You learn of his background and how he got to where he is now. It's a bit sad but you also find out why there was conflict in his town which you might have guessed from what is written above. Greenbridge the town Levius lived in had this unique water source and well they lived on it and it may have changed them internally being exposed to the water all the time. So naturally a conflict arose wanting the rights to this water. A company called Amethyst supposedly swept in to help and stop the conflict but the rumors say it had underlying evil intentions as in kidnapping orphaned children and do experiments on. Levius finds himself has a young boy who was trying to rescue his mother but ends up losing an arm and being saved by his mother. As a young boy who already lost his father during the war and mother who is in a coma he is shipped to his Uncle who used to be a boxer back in his day. There is another main character sorta of in all this a young girl from the same town he couldn't save that later turns up in the ring. Levius stumbles onto the metal boxing and well the rest is history. This story is so great. Fighting to find something you feel is missing. The opponents you fight bring something to your understanding. Levius is innocent but not naive, simple and straightforward. I real genius in the ring. He ends up helping the other fighters through the fighting. The supporting cast gets little backstories that make not end up hating them. The accumlation comes to head as you learn AJ a fighter being manipulated by an evil guy who is the owner of Amethyst. The sad truth of a lot of things come to light and Levius tries to save AJ. Everyone comes to back up Levius on this even though it becomes very dangerous. I really would recommend this anime. Even if you don't like sport or boxing the story and plot is very excellent. It really draws you in.

So there's this guy, "Colonel Cbplayer", who's built actual working mecha fighters based on the Macross franchise using my fav game, Kerbal Space Program. When I say "working" I mean everything, including flying, fighting, and transforming. (Sometimes all at once!) He's even got a video on his youtube channel of the YF19 and YF21 fighting. Pretty insane, especially considering that the base game doesn't have weapons, or even real hinges. I'd love to try this myself, but with the old GPU and FX processor in my system I'd be lucky if I got single-digit frame rates. Not that I have the time for it anyway I guess. This post instigated by a recent Kotaku article... https://kotaku.com/kerbal-space-program-can-do-transforming-macross-fighte-1831242407 His youtube channel is here:

Voltron Legendary Defender Ending
Yanushi-Chan posted a blog entry in The Inner Mind of a Fujoshi Otaku
Okay, I am so behind on Voltron: Legendary Defenders. However, I was cursed with a spoiler which I thought was fan-made. Apparently. . . SPOILER WARNING IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE SERIES To wrap up the series, I guess . . . Allura changed the Quintessence in Haggar's (or Honerva's, which ever have you) vessel in order to change it into a life-giving force to restore what has been done. Allura, realizing the risks, says her final farewells to the Paladins. As she says farewell to her team . . . she does what I didn't expect . . . SHE . . . FUCKING . . . KISSES . . . .LANCE FUCKING MCCLAIN!!!! The playboy! The womanizer! The freaking goofball . . . the literal asshole of the bunch!!! (Granted I still love Lance with all my heart because he is one of my Voltron babies!!!) Ladies and Gentleman, this winner of the VLD Shipping Race is . . . . Lance x Allura Ask me who triggered I am . . . go ahead, I don't mind . . . . Because readers . . . I AM FUCKING LIVID AS HELL!!! Welp! There goes all my ships . . . but being a fujoshi . . . there was no way I was going to get that satisfaction. I mean the Fujoshi community has already been blessed with Yuri on Ice, Banana Fish, Yarichin Club, Kiss Him, Not Me (I really like that series, it literally depicts my life), Dakaretai Otoko Ichii, Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi, Junjou Romantica . . . we've got a lot of goodness. With that being said. I shall graciously degrade myself You have won this time, Lance x Allura . . . I submit to your canonical existence. but Klance and Sheith shall never die! Yanushi Fujoshi, Out! -
The show staff have OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED that LELOUCH IS DEAD. They have been repeating this for 10 years. This was confirmed in interviews, live commentaries, tweets, the official guide book, the new epilogue they made (2009), and the sequel's name is even "Lelouch of the Resurrection". (Mind you, the sequel is a single movie and not a season, and it's part of the recent movies' alternate universe, but Lelouch's fate is identical in R2 and the movies!) There's a Code Geass community database on reddit which gathered all the information we have, all the official statements, etc, and then goes over the code theories' points and shows how they are contradicted by the anime itself. The anime itself makes it impossible for Lelouch to have the code. It's a long post, but any Code Geass fan will want to read it. As an example, here is an excerpt from "Geass Memories", a series of tweets made at the 10 year Code Geass anniversary which talked about how they made the anime 10 years earlier: - "Before I started writing the story of a person called Lelouch, I confirmed with Taniguchi-director something. That thing was that THE END OF LELOUCH WILL BE DEATH." - "At least he is aware of his sins and pays for them with HIS DEATH." - "This man called Lelouch will pay for his sins by HIS DEATH. The story follows him till he finally make this decision." - "Probably this Lelouch we see in the first episode of the series wouldn't CHOOSE DEATH. He would try something to avoid it. He couldn't DIE, for Nunnally as well. But we see him changed in the last episode." Official source Screenshot Translation Another example, this one from the official guide book which clarifies the Zero Requiem: - "For those two who bear the heavy sin known as killing their fathers, they share the belief that they can forgive each other by imposing the greatest punishments on themselves. Death for Lelouch who wishes for a tomorrow with his sister, life for Suzaku who wishes to atone for his sins through death." Picture of that page in the guide book Many many many more can be found in the Code Geass community database.

Hey everyone, I am trying to remember this anime I watched about three or 4 years back. I believe it was a mecha anime, where the boy gained the power to summon a giant robot by meet this girl. He was very nerdy and week, and I remember in one episode he has a total break down when he comes up against another mecha or something he can't beat. The other few things I remember about the anime is; 1. He's jelaous of his best friend, (I believe the friend dies because of him but am not sure) 2. He is in love with his childhood best friend 3 He falls in love with the girl who gives him the power to summon the mecha 4. Joins a Organization dedicated to fighting an evil organization that can also control mecha's. 5. (This one's kinda weird) I believe it was an OVA or a Filler but a male member of the Good Organization fights a redhead female of the evil organization in a cave. It cuts away from the fight and when it goes back to them it makes it seem like they just got done having sex. (Creepy I remember that part vividly! XD) So can anyone please help me find this Anime?

Okay, so it’s a mecha anime and in it the main character is a female teen who’s mom works at this research facility and one day while she’s visiting these things drop to earth that her father called like goblins or something but they’re actually robots. So when that happens this boy wake up out of this giant black box and mistakes the main character for his princess from thousands of years ago. He then takes her and has her pilot this giant robot with him. Please help! I really liked this anime! The main character had short brown hair if that helps
