What did you do today?

My vacation accrual at work was overflowing so I took the day off.  There's plenty of work to do around the house.... but I'm not doing it.  It's against my principles to work during vacation. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!  :)

I thought about going for a drive but touring the town is probably not a good idea at the moment.  😟  A bit too hot to be in the yard too.   Maybe later this evening.  I might do dinner on the patio if there's enough shade by then.  For now I'm just hiding out in the air conditioning and playing on the computer.

I had my volunteer thingy today at the zoo but I didn't do a lot today just cleaned some aquariums and then went to the grocery store when Pessi picked me up at work. We went to get milkshakes and White Castle then I ate and accidentally took a 2 hour nap which I guess is good because I probably kinda needed it @.@ Kinda missed some events on my game but gonna play it the rest of the night ~

As a perpetually sleep-deprived individual myself I never begrudge an extra hour or two of sleep when I can find the time.  Especially if you "accidentally" fell asleep then you absolutely did need it!

And new skill unlocked: "prompt engineering".  Gonna need to level it a bit but I can see uses for this at work.  This might even turn out to be the skill for the next decade.  (Or at least until AIs understand the human context.)  I suspect it'll be kind of like HTML or javascript coding skills were for previous decades.

That's what I usually tell myself but I have it programmed in my head that if I'm sleeping I'm being lazy or something lol

Being lazy is when you just sit around doing nothing when there's things to be done.

Falling asleep unexpectedly is your brain's way of telling you you're over doing things and you need time to rest and recharge.

Played a bunch of games earlier this morning, went for a work out, just got back from going out to eat with Serey and friends, I think I'm going to have a nap before I get back at gaming.

I had a great weekend out with the fam this past 2 days. We went on a little camping adventure out in the woods and did some fishing while celebrating Father's Day. Had a nice little cookout with the hamburgers and hotdogs and played some board games, went on a few hikes. Just got away from tech for the weekend and hung out with each other.

I had a lot of work to do today but finished it earlier than expected which is always a good thing. Probably going to make dinner soon and just hang out and chill the rest of the evening.
