What did you do today?

So we have a "What's the weather like where you are?" and a "How are you feeling right now?" thread but I haven't seen a "What did you do today?" thread so I thought this would be fun to make so we could get to know more about each other here in our small community and what kind of things we did during the day.

Did you have lunch out with friends?
Buy some new anime merch?
Took a walk into town?
Maybe you just sat around being lazy on the couch all day taking naps or had an enjoyable day inside playing video games.

Whatever you did, tell us about it!

For example:
Today I had my work classes until noon and then I had the afternoon off. I took a nap, did the laundry, and then had a shark week party! We had shark week themed cupcakes and sat around watching Shark Week for our Friday night. Since then I've been playing some Runescape, putting some decorations up on my new shelf and now I'm about to watch a little tv.

Also if you want to add pictures of what you did such as a trip you took or thing you bought, please do!

So far today I have had breakfast (Lucky Charm cereal) and some milk. 
I went out for a walk this morning before the sun got it too hot outside. I ran into this lady who always walks her boxer dog around the same time and she always lets me throw him a frisbee several times and pet him (his name is Jim). Who doesn't like getting pet a dog? 
Now I have been playing some games which I will do until we go to Walmart later for the supplies we have to get for the house project.

Went to the shops earlier this morning, had groceries to buy. After that stayed indoors the rest of the day. Going to grab something to make for my evening meal here in a moment, relax to some TV lazing on the couch, and probably do a bit more gaming before heading to bed.

A lazy day. I woke up early and thought I'd get up in half an hour, woke up again almost 2 hours later!!! Had breakfast, then pottered around the house doing odd jobs until lunch time and watched some anime while eating lunch.  Then spent the afternoon doing random stuff on the computer.  Cooked myself some dinner (beans on toast) and watched a bit more anime while eating it. Did the washing up (there wasn't much of it). That's about all there was to my boring day.

I did something - not even sure what - this morning that messed up my back.  Took some meds and since then I've just been trying to find comfortable positions that don't make my back scream.

I hate when I do that. Sometimes I will be like, oh I will just close my eyes for a few minutes and then BAM! 3 hours later I wake up dazed and confused

Oh no  I hope you get to feeling better, hopefully a night of sleep will make it feel better again. 

 

Today we went to Walmart to get a few things we needed for the house like nails, extension cords, etc, little things we've found we needed since we moved. Went to this restaurant nearby called Dizzy Whizz for burgers, they are really cheap and have AMAZING burgers and have been there since 1940 something.
I've been playing Runescape on and off all day, leveling my mining and just relaxing hanging out with Pessi. We went to get coke icees while ago so that's nice. Oh we are also watching Shark Week shows 
I have also been working on my own personal space today with some decorations and trying to make it aesthetically pleasing. OH! I also bought some paint and things today because I have an old shelf I want to paint/refurbish so it looks newer and matches my room colors better. I'll post some before and after pictures once I get it done ^^
Atm now I am just watching the news about all the craziness that is unfolding at the Trump rally in Pennsylvania.

Today not much yet. I cooked breakfast and made an omelet then went for my morning walk before the heat set in too badly.
My plans for the day are to do as little as possible, watch TV, play some games, and try to enjoy this last day of the weekend without stress or chores.

Slept in, got my bedroom more organized. I keep wanting to move furniture around in it to try all these different angles and I don't know which I like. I might move it around another 60 times before I decide who knows  

Other than that I mostly played RS, watched tv, hung out with Pessi. My dad called today and said they would be flying in next weekend for my birthday so that's going to be nice.

Had myself a nice, long chat with my best friend today, then played some video games and got a few more eps of Inuyasha in. I'm almost finished with season 5. I think there are about 70-something more eps left until I transition into The Final Act.

So, today was what I would call an ideal day.

Worked since early this morning around 6:30 AM. Skipped breakfast because I was feeling a bit unwell. Felt better after a couple of hour of being awake however.
Swamped with a lot of work it looks like this week my days will be 6:30's - 5:00's. I am about to shut down the work for the day and take a nap, hopefully after that play a few games before waking up to do it again all over tomorrow.

Today I had work courses which pretty much occupied the vast majority of my time. After that I just sat around on the couch watching tv and eating some snacks, played some RS and hung out with some friends on there. I'm getting ready to make something to eat, prolly get a shower and then go to bed. So all in all a very boring day.

I'm helping @Sakura refurbish an old shelf, today in the morning I had free time and so I finished painting the frame. The only thing left on this now is to finish the wood parts.

I did my usual Tuesday stuff, shopping and generally pottering about.

Got the restaurant prepped and ready for opening day tomorrow, and finished up season 5 of Inuyasha.

Yes and it turned out really pretty! It was this ugly looking black frame, with gold trim shelves and plain looking wood slabs that slid on it, and I was honestly going to throw it away and just buy something new but we changed it into this  and now I really love it because the purple matches the rest of my room perfectly, so I plan on keeping it. It was the first time I'd done any restoration project like this on old furniture. I really wish I had taken a "before" picture because it did not look good at all lol ~

Yes, I think "pottering about" is the UK version and "piddling about" is the US version.

The restored shelf unit looks really nice, you've done a great job on that.  Looking at the style of it I can imagine what it originally looked like, I've seen things like that in National Trust properties.

I basically did what I do everyday right now...went to work and worried all day about hearing back concerning a house I've applied to rent. Probably gave myself an ulcer. Another one. LOL.

Overloaded with work today, just taking a break right now from it for some snacks. Will be working for another couple hours. 
Other than this I did some laundry. Pretty boring and average day for me.

Work study courses, went to the library across the street finally and got my library card! That wasn't much or super-interesting but I'm glad I went over there.

Yes I think so  My mom has a very interesting array of widely different sayings since we've lived in so many different countries. 

Thanks! It was reallllyyy ugly and boring and I thought about just tossing it but decided to give painting it over a go and worst outcome was I would still throw it away anyways lol but I am keeping it now ~

I was able to sleep in today so I did so until about 10 AM, very nice for a work day. The work day has been lazy so I have not had much to do and have been doing things in the house. I loaded the dish washer, swept, vacuumed my room and finished putting away laundry. @Sakura parents and sister are coming this weekend and I have been trying to help her make sure the house is ready and clean for visitors.

Helped clean up the house too, finished hanging up some more decorations in my room now that my arms not hurting so much.
Went up on the roof tonight to watch the sun setting and stick my feet in the pool up there lol.

You have a pool on the roof of your house? That's impressive. I have pond in my garden, but no one in their right mind would put their feet in it, it's almost a biohazard!

This global outage made me not able to do very much work today. I could only check a few things but most of our platforms constantly put up errors which meant I just went back to sleep and started a 3 day weekend  I went to our sky lounge with @Sakura and we played foosball, pool, and table tennis, worked out a little bit, then went to a late lunch at a cafe on the river. We tried to stop to get icee's on the way home but neither of the stores we stopped at had were able to take transactions due to the outage so we had to live without that.

Yep we live in a 30 story high-rise apartment building that has a sky lounge with gaming tables, a bar, restaurant, and a pool on the roof.

Today went walking by the river because we couldn't have our classes because of the the global tech outage. It seems like a lot of places have been affected by this.
