Got a catering coming up in the next few weeks at a local cocktail bar/brewery, and they want to have a private event; taco night with tequila and their Mexican-style beer they're releasing that day (I am very, very excite! ). Cooked a beef brisket, and two pork shoulders. One, I made carnitas out of, the other I attempted to make al pastor out of. The brisket turned out great! The carnitas were okay, and sadly the al pastor wasn't really all that good (and I wanted to like that one, I really did). Guess I need to tweak the marinade for that one. Took a pic of two of the tacos I made, here's how they turned out:

After work there is no way I would feel like taking a dog out for a run in the park or walking and even having to do this in the rain or cold. These tacos also look very good much better than the ones I have had

Today just work but we have an excessive amount to complete this week especially because this is my last week with the company, I have to tie up all the projects I was working on and have it finished and completed. I should be able to do it but if I don't it isn't my problem anymore either lol.

DANGGGGG those look good though

I haven't really done much of anything today and it felt really boring ._. I organized my sock drawers LOL I have a ton of socks actually because I like to collect socks for some reason so this is actually kinda tedious because I have 3 drawers full of them. 

I played RS some and apparently over the weekend the wholeeee clan had this huge argument thing that happened and mostly everyone left, or well everyone that I'm friends with left. There was a lot of drama, people cursing each other on chat and in voice calls and on live streams and everything else x.X I really feel pretty sad about it because I loved the clan I was in and it was really good when it was good. Most everyone I know joined a new clan though so I'm going to join it as well to be with my friends that left but I feel really torn about the situation and everything.

Nothing too exciting… it rained throughout the entire day so did some cleaning (vacuuming, dishes, organizing, etc) and watched anime.

When we had dogs my parents were fit enough to do the dog walking on week days and I took the dog to the park on weekends, the dogs liked the car ride as well!* Fortunately none of the dogs we had liked going out in the rain, although they would insist on checking the weather out of both front and back doors just to make sure it was the same on both sides of the house.  I don't have a dog now because it wouldn't be fair on the dog as I couldn't look after him/her properly.

* My mother always knew when I was going out in the car because our dog would rush to the bottom of the stairs and sit there looking up and wagging her tail, somehow she knew when I came out of my room wearing my car coat even before she could see me. If I came out of my room with a different coat on she didn't bother. - Dogs are smarter than we think.

Usual boring day, in the morning I went shopping to get my weeks supply of goodies. In the afternoon I intended to cut the green area I call a lawn but it rained!  This evening I put out the recycling boxes along with the garden waste bin ready for collection tomorrow morning.

We had dogs growing up when we lived in a farm area, I don't feel it's fair to keep a dog in an apartment or place without a yard to run if it's a large dog. I see a lot of people in our building with large dogs and while there are several dog parks in walking distance from here it just seems like they should be able to run around as they want in a yard too. Having a Husky in an apartment seems cruel to the dog. 

I noticed this same behavior in the little dog we watched this weekend. It caught on quick that when we were putting our shoes on and getting a bag out of the drawer we were going to take it for a walk and would start jumping around excitedly but showed no interest when we just did something such as grab the keys and walk out of the door, as if it knew what indicated walk time and what didn't.

Had a work study course class so at least I had something to do today. I was actually kind of excited to get up and do something lol I just really wish it wasn't so hot out because heat index being at 103 F kinda kills any ambition I have of wanting to go outside x_x

I got some packages in today of some Boruto and Mitsuki things I ordered so I was really happy about that!~ The person even put freebies in them with some stickers and stuff and that was so nice ^^

Finished all of the projects I had open that needed to be closed before leaving this job on Friday and starting my new job next week. I was glad to finish completing them and there really isn't anything for me to do for the rest of the week since I won't be taking any new projects. I spent the rest of the afternoon playing games, taking a nap, and running some errands. I think I will make dinner tonight, I'm thinking about cod, green beans, and something else but not sure what yet.

I had a work study course today and we got to go out in the boat again which is always fun to me. We got to see some paddlefish today, which are one of my favorite freshwater fishies ^^ I love the way they look lol ~ It was pretty hot though and I didn't really like that, but being on a pretty speedy boat there was at least a nice breeze + being on the water is usually pretty nice. Oh we also saw some beavers that some of the fish and game officers were trying to trap to move out of the area because they've been a nuisance in that area o.o

This evening I've been relaxing, playing games, went to get ice cream and had a hot fudge sundae. I really should chill on the sweets and stuff lately but it's Summer and ice cream is soooo good ;-;

This morning I finally got round to cleaning the gunge off the inside of the oven's glass door, then went out to the front garden to cut down some overgrown plants.  This afternoon I did some work on my model railway.

Since my projects for work are done and I can't start any new ones with it being my last week, I got to do nothing today and get paid for it  So I slept in, went for a walk, worked out in the gym, went for a dip in the pool in the afternoon, then took a nap.

Had a work study course and was back out on the water a bit. There are honestly so many gnats or biting midges, not sure what it is, but they are everywhere right now. I think it's because we've just had a ton of rain and that's pretty good breeding grounds for them, but they keep biting me even with bug spray on

The rest of the day I've just been hanging out playing Neo & RS and relaxing, watched some TV. I got in some more things I ordered, so my desk area is almost completely done! Just a few more things.

Last night I put collars on some of my stock investments.  I don't trust the markets any further than I can drop-kick a bowling ball.  It's not even a market so much as a giant roulette wheel .. one with a dozen or so extra "0"s on it.  But people are still bidding things up so I sold some calls to finance some puts.  I picked strikes for the calls up around 5-10% where I could consistent with puts no less than 5% down from current levels.  I'm fine selling (and taking the cg tax hit) if prices keep going up and I definitely feel better with the downside protection in place.  I think relying on the "fed put" this time is ill-advised.

Today was the last day at my job before I start at my new company on Monday. I had to say goodbye to several co-workers I will really miss and have been helpful to me in this job and learning things. I am looking forward to this new job and opportunity to begin next week however. I don't think I will regret making this move to another company.

I have no projects to work on at work so it was mostly a free day. I went to the gym to exercise, tried an ice cream place I have not been to before and had a hot fudge sundae, then did some errands to get some groceries for the next week. I also stopped at Little Caesars pizza to get a pizza. I have never tried them before but @Sakura told me they had delicious pizza.

I had a work study course, then took a nap after. Was sooo tired. The weather was pretty great today though and when I got home it was in the 70s so @Zeref and I had pizza on the balcony thanks to him having a pizza here when I woke up  

I did something fairly stupid today though, just a few minutes ago actually. I know I really shouldn't go walking around the city after dark but there wasn't any soda because I spilled the one I have so I decided to go walking to McDonalds to get one because when I need caffeine I REALLY need caffeine. I really should have waited for Pessi to wake up and we could just drive somewhere and get one but I did this instead. Which you shouldn't be wandering around outside dark city streets in the middle of downtown alone typically and I ran into this guy I'll just call "Butt Guy" because thats what he's always asking me to touch   This is the 3rd time I've ran into him and I don't know how I keep having the misfortunate of running into this guy every time I go out and then having him follow me harassing me. My friends have told me I should call the cops and give them his description or something because he doesn't leave me alone x.x I just really didn't think I would be this unlucky but I think he hangs around the area.

Yeah, you should have waited, going out alone at night just isn't safe any more, which is a sad comment about the state of our society. We should be able to walk were we like when we like without any worries about being harassed or attacked but there's some strange people about after dark, I don't go out at night any more for that reason, so please take care of yourself and don't do anything that could put you at risk.

 I don't feel safe walking around alone at night because you never know what people are going to do. I'm in fairly good shape and could defend myself if I needed having taken kickboxing and Tai-Kwon-Do most of my life, but I still wouldn't be foolish enough to try to fight against someone with a knife or gun. It's sad that we live in a world where you need to take self defense classes or sports to be able to feel even slightly safe just walking somewhere, even in a good area. 

I woke up early today before sunrise which was a surprise. I had coffee on the roof and watched the sunrise over the river. I went for a jog and a little exercise at the gym after that. Had breakfast, played a couple of games, then went to get @Sakura some sodas before she woke up so she wouldn't have to take a walk to McDonald's again and encounter this guy

I really thought what could possibly happen in just 10 minutes lol ~ but yeah a lot can actually happen in 10 minutes x.x Wish it was alright to go places though but it seems like pretty much nowhere is safe anymore. 

I slept late today and yes I do thank you very much @Zeref for running out and getting me sodas so I didn't have caffeine withdrawals today  It was such a nice day today so I was out on the roof a lot just enjoying the weather and views. It was too cold to swim today but I had my feet in the water still. Mostly watched Pessi playing FFX and I made chili this evening! I haven't made chili in awhile so I was really excited to eat it tonight @.@

We went to the Unitarian church across the street from us which was a new experience as I don't know much about the Unitarians or how their services would be. I enjoyed it however and the people were very warm and friendly. There was free donuts too and you can't beat that

After this we went a few places such as the Dollar Tree to browse around, Mcdonald's for lunch, and to the river front for a walk and to listen to some of the music playing by the bands today. 

The rest of the day I am probably going to spend playing games and eating snacks

After church this morning a group of us went to the local pub/restaurant for our monthly meal together. As a single person living on my own I really enjoy the opportunity to eat out with friends

Went to the church across the road like Zeref mentioned. I had never been to a Unitarian church either so it was a new thing for both of us. I really enjoyed it though, and yeah the people were super nice. I didn't feel out of place at all and I haven't felt that way in a church in a long time. It's a really pretty old church too that was built in the 1800's so it has all this pretty architecture and old windows and stuff in it, and I love looking at stuff like that. 

Also played RS today, did my Neopet plot story too. My friend gave me some cute stuff for my gallery on Neo so I have more paint brush rare items now that  I had been wanting. I almost spent all my money on Neo buying things lately but there are so many cute things and I want them all
