Well i am sick at home so i have the time to be less selective. And i read it was adventure and about people who special powers related to animals. And the first 3 episodes  were not the worst. A 6 out of 10. but then, omg,....they spend like 3 episodes with no story. Very childish romance. Will they kiss,..will they hold hands. Dare we say we love eachother, shall we buy a gift?. And thats okay,..but not for 3 full eps LOL

My Hero Academia: Vigilantes - Honestly didn’t make the best of early impressions on me, but has been steadily getting better since about the half-way point. Looks to be building up to a promising season finale.

To be Hero X - can’t help but feel they dropped the ball with the conclusion to the Luck Cyan arc (felt too rushed).

Oh no.  I binge at the end of the season so I haven't finished it yet but I usually take a look at the 1st 3 episodes of pretty much everything to see what I want to put on the end-of-season list.  I have TGGGTG on the list but I'm not that into romance.  No spoilers please but... should I continue?

Maybe not then, because the romance aspect does get most of the attention, especially from the mid-point on. And frankly even that aspect isn’t particularly engaging (although at least they didn’t waste a lot of time dithering about it). I picked it up primarily for the comedic  elements & didn’t necessarily mind the otome (reverse harem) side of things as I have enjoyed a couple  examples, most notably My Next Life as a Villainess. But sadly it doesn’t do anything particularly well & comes off as pretty generic. I’ll finish it since there’s only 1 ep left, but will be one of the weakest of the 20 or so shows I complete this season.

And this looks likely to be the overall “best” of the shows this season. There are other shows I enjoy as much, but more for their  energy or vibes than for their substance.

I'm not anti-romance but I was/am mainly after the comedy aspect as well.  Sounds like it's not horrible so I think I'll just move it to the bottom of the to-watch list.  If I have time after the others then maybe I'll get around to finishing it.

Just watched the last episode of The Unaware Atelier Meister.

It was a bit of a disappointment. I enjoyed this serie the last few months, but the end was done very hastily. Not only did the end the storyline abruptly, they managed to start and finish some new storylines in the last episode. Weird.

Maomao might just be the greatest female character ever written in manga in my personal opinion. She is extremely interesting and believable at the same time.

I am not having the best of luck in picking animes this week. Last 2 i picked, i stopped watching after 3 eps. Will now try Unbreakable Machine-Doll this evening. Hoping it will be better

I watched Rascal Does Not Dream of Dreaming Girl this evening and really enjoyed watching it. It's a good story with a complex, but fairly easy to follow, plot with a bit of a shock in the middle, and a great ending.

Now all I want is for CR to get the other movies.

I am proud with myself. I was able to finish The Gorilla God's Go-To Girl. Like i mentioned before it is nauseating romantic and sweet. and some of the story stuff is so weak. The bad guy can run from bullets but not a chandelier (not really a spoiler)

But i sat through it and just finished episode 12. Now i need some good isekai to clean my pallet (is that correct english?). I am open for recommendations for good fantasy adventure

 

@Ohayotakuthis reminds me,..i forgot the name but 1 year ago there was this anime about an elf looking back. Friezen something. I watched 1 episode but stopped because i dont like when the entire season is looking back. But it had high scores. If you know which one i am talking about,..can you perhaps pls provide a small review?

Assume you’re talking about Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I personally feel like it’s probably the most consistently well executed anime out there. What I mean is that most series have high points but also low points. I don’t have any real criticism, but not much in the way of highlights either. Never disappointed, but didn’t really wow me either. Frequently made me reflect on things, but never made me tear up. No real gut punch or adrenaline rush moments. Frequently made me chuckle, but not really lol. The worldbuilding is quite good though. A really “solid” title, but not overly hyped about it. I gave it a 9 on MAL, but 8.5 would probably be closer for me. It’s ranked as the #1 anime on MAL, but would personally put Vinland Saga & Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ahead of it.

I finished Gorilla Girl as well. As previously noted, it didn’t do anything particularly well, gave it a 5/10. Since it dropped the ball on the comedy aspect, I resumed watching a Ninja & Assassin Under One Roof. Had initially set it aside because Konoha seemed too mean spirited, but she’s mellowed somewhat & usually offers at least a couple chuckles per episode. Currently 6/10.

Also finished Fire Force season 3 (pt 1). Did a pretty good job of giving the various characters their moments while revisiting past plot points as they set up for the final cour next year. Didn’t really have the adrenaline rush moments I seem to remember from past seasons though & the ending scene was kinda WTF? I’ll probably rewatch from season 1 before the finale next year. Gave it an 8/10 (rounded up from 7.5)

I am almost finished with its first season and must agree on basically everything you said. It's just okay enough for me to keep watching and not try a new anime that is a roll of the dice of being more enjoyable. It's well written, nice animation, and I have no qualms with the story at all, but I can only think of one particular instance where there was an audible "wow". I'd like to think at some point it will all come together, and maybe the manga readers are giving it high scores and know something that I don't, but at the moment, the high praise isn't completely justified to me.

Season 3 got worse as it went along in terms of overall enjoyment, but I am glad that some story details were finally revealed. I agree that whatever is currently going on is a bit strange but I think I have a decent idea as to where it's going to go from here. Also a question for you below @Ohayotaku

it was revealed the convent she was raised in was primarily used to research dopplegangers & ways to manifest them and she was one of the few survivors

For the most part I feel like I was able to follow along despite the long hiatus between seasons 2 & 3, but the final episode in particular made me feel like I’d forgotten some details about Amaterasu, The Lady in Black & Raffles as well as Inca.

If I hadn't rewatched seasons 1 and 2 before starting 3 I would have been hopelessly lost.

The sudden truth bomb about Raffles was crazy, though not surprising considering his wife journaled that he suddenly became very different. The Inca comment in the end was interesting and the only way I could ever see a love interest there is if Inca has been a plant this entire time and she doesn't actually want to help the White Clad. Other than that, I'm lost.

Got current on it (episode 11) and … well, so much for watching it just for laughs I mean a lot of the humor could be dark as well as silly & always realized they COULD go this direction with things but honestly surprised they actually HAVE. Can’t really elaborate because spoilers, plus will need to watch the final episode to see how far they actually take it. Anime of the season? Almost certainly not, but could very well be the one that most defies my expectations in a long time. Currently 7/10, but could go higher depending on how it ends.
