What anime are you watching now?

I'm currently working my way through Summer Pockets which is another anime adaptation of a Key/Visual Arts Graphic Novel, and it's obvious that this one is not being done by Kyoto Animation as it lacks the style and direction of series like Kanon and Clannad. I think that most of the story arcs are supposed to end in a tearjerker but the arcs are quite short so we don't really get to know the characters well enough to really care about them.

Currently watching a number of food/outdoors themed anime. With autumn transitioning to winter it feels cozy ☺️ (the first 2 also have a romance side to them as well)

I finally continued rewatching sao season 2 and ordinal scale which I really liked, I’ll watch alicization (sao season 3) next since even tho sao is one of my favorite anime ever or maybe even my number 1 favorite, I never watched it before

I've watched the first series and thought the first arc, eps 1-14 were the best part. I didn't think much of the second arc.
I've never got round to watching series 2, but I have watched Alicization, it's interesting but rather long.
The other two movies "Aria of Sleepless Night" and "Aria of Deep Night" are really good as well.

Yeah I’ve heard a ton of good things about the movies and alicization, tho season 2 is considered the weakest I do really like it, especially the second half. Ordinal scale which is set between season 2 and alicization is also one of my favorite.

I've seen Ordinal Scale as well, it struck me as being quite different to series 1 but still a good movie to watch.

It's a funny thing about SAO, it's not really sort of series that I like and usually watch. When it first came out all the trailers showed the battles and made the series look seriously violent so I didn't pay any attention to it. Then a few years later people started posting clips of what might be called the more "slice of life" parts of the series and that sort of got me interested. Then I found out it was on CR and as I had a subscription I thought I might as well give it a try.

Doubt it’s your thing as there’s barely any action in it, mostly the 2 MCs being lovey-dovey & awkward towards each other (sometimes simultaneously 😂). There actually is a plausible reason offered for considering monsters as a food source & a measure of political/religious intrigue/conspiracy, but unsure how deep they’ll go with it. Mostly it’s about 2 individuals who have been misunderstood & slandered by society as a whole finding someone who understands & appreciates them in each other. And comfy food vibes.

I think May I Ask For One Final Thing would be more to your liking. Has it’s romance side as well, but more action oriented & even has an isekai aspect to it (though it’s not revealed until several episodes in & still unsure where they’ll go with it). It’s probably my fave non-sequel series this season. Still planning to check out Sanda sometime in December though.

Overall, MHA Final Season continues to dominate the season for me.

Thanks man.

And yes, my main focus is always on magic, action, fantasy and Isekai. BUTTT there are exceptions. I think it is time to admit i just have a weird taste. I really hate slice of life or to sweet romantic. But outside my normal genres, there are exceptions.  i do like for instance :

- Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (season 2 running now), not too much action

- Sonya with the red hair

- Grace of the gods (almost no action but love it)

- Restaurant to Another World

- Nina the Starry Bride

- My Next Life As A Villainess

etc etc etc just some that pop to mind now. I am indeed watching May i ask for one final thing. Likeing it. Thanks

For the rest not as much seasonal anime as normal. I am watching this seasonal anime:

The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest
Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill
Hero Without a Class: Who Even Needs Skills?!
Gachiakuta
Tougen Anki
A Gatherer's Adventure in Isekai
Let This Grieving Soul Retire S2
My Status as an Assassin Obviously Exceeds the Hero's
Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon, I'm Out for revenge
May i ask for one final thing
The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess
Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- s3
Gnosia

Sounds like my type of anime. I like mushy anime like that. One of my favorites being Clannad or Oreimo. Two of which I enjoy. I learned with Oreimo that not a lot of others get the series. They’re always asking whats wrong with me ha ha ha. I tend to get really invested in anime if I really like them. If anime has a good story, I’ll read or watch them till the very end.
