efaardvark
Found a cool lush cave in MC that had an oceanside entrance that made it easily accessible by boat. Very nice visuals, courtesy of the "bliss" shader. Spoiler A little bit inside there is a skylight kind of thing going on from an opening above as well. It's a bit hazardous however. Not only are there Drowned in the darker areas but while looking at the pretty scenery above you might run afoul of the magma below and get your boat swamped. Still, I might come back and build a base here at some point. Spoiler I also found a place with a really nice view of a cluster of different frozen biomes. FWIW I'm using the "large biomes" world-gen option and the "tectonic" mod in this game. I'd also like to try the "lithosphere" mod at some point. Now that the distant horizons mod is moving from development to release it's a lot easier to get these sorts of results. Spoiler I liked the view enough - especially the sunset - to build a small outpost there. Sorry about the all-cobble construction btw. I'm still early on in this "hardcore" game and don't have a lot of options in terms of construction materials. I also needed something built quick so I prioritized functionality over looks. I don't plan on staying here for long anyway. There's a town down below and across the bay near the icebergs that I plan to occupy and fortify into a more substantial base as soon as I've hunted enough rabbits here for a couple bundles. Sakura
Tried to get a fire cape which I suppose could be considered the hardest to get cape on the game on OSRS today. Got through 62 waves of monsters without much problem which took close to an hour, then the last wave at the main/final boss I kinda panicked and started trying to do too much and move around too much and threw the whole thing and was dead in 2 hits x.x I'll try again tomorrow but no more attempts tonight in me.

Sakura
I got the 2nd rarest cape in the game on OSRS after spending an hour and a half in a boss monster fight for it, so I'm overall pretty happy about that.

Forlorn
After mom let me buy Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on Switch I kind of just kept playing it, so that's why I haven't been on AF much in the past few days. So far, I've just finished getting to Nor Harbor and finally caught up with Flynn. He sure was quick to swing his sword at Yuri though all over a wanted poster. o.o It's an awesome story so far. I love the voice casting of the characters. There's 2 free DLC for the Switch version of Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition which were free after I bought the game itself in the Nintendo eShop. They came in very handy. Right now I'm at the point in the game where Estelle explained the situation to Flynn so he's at least not trying to lop off Yuri's head anymore, but damn, dude, that's how you greet an old friend? He seems like some kind of purist when it comes to Imperial Law(s) being broken, no matter what the reasons which Yuri had well-intended reasons of catching a thief that took something from where he lived in the Empire that messed up the water there. Something magic called a blastia. I'm still not entirely sure what they are, but the story itself and the character development is amazing. This ranks at the top right next to Nier: Automata for my favorite games. ^^ ^^ I've got a feeling the story's just begun though.

Forlorn
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition I've re-started the game from the beginning. It's an interesting story so far. The game starts out with Yuri who's from the Lower Quarter of the Imperial Capital, Zaphias, trying to track down someone that stole a blastia core from where he lives that has the effect of cleaning the river water so that it's drinkable and able to be used safely. Unfortunately, this has led to a pretty big misunderstanding with him being jailed for 10 days. It doesn't take long for him to jailbreak though because his town needs that blastia core for safe water. The Royal Quarter of the Imperial Capital, Zaphias, unsurprisingly doesn't make the situation a priority, so it's up to Yuri to catch the thief. He met Estellise (he started using the nickname Estella for her) in the castle when he snuck into it to pursue the thief, but found 2 knights (with 3 more on the way) cornering her and the situation looked pretty bad for her. Naturally, Yuri knocked out 2 of the guards and there was a battle with the other 3. It didn't take long for Estella to fight alongside Yuri though. Yuri and Estella know a knight by the name of Flynn who she needs to talk to to the point of pointing a sword at 2 guards to try to find him on her own until Yuri helped her out. Yuri took Estella to Flynn's room so she could tell him what she needed to tell him because she thinks he's in danger, but she hasn't shared why she thinks that just yet. After the 2 went in Flynn's room so Estella could tell him what she needed to tell him only to find the room empty, some crazed lunatic misidentified Yuri as Flynn and tried to kill him in battle. His name is Zagi, and he's seriously a lunatic who seems to love to thrill of a challenging battle to the death. Reminds me of a Saiyan, only crazy. After Yuri and Estella weather Zagi's attacks and the fight concludes, Estella wanted Yuri to fix Flynn's door since Zagi broke it down. lol Surprisingly, Yuri repaired the door before they left. After Estella and Yuri escape from the castle, they both leave for their own reasons. Estella's reason is telling Flynn he's in danger or at least what she knows about the thread towards his life. Yuri left to try to catch a mage who used the name Mordio and get that blastia core back that cleans the water for the Lower Quarter in the Imperial City, Zaphias. Yuri was joined by his companion, Repede, as he and Estella were being chased by one last knight. Repede took him down though before he got too close and rejoined Yuri after the two had split up to rendezvous later on after Yuri was arrested. Right now I'm just grinding for a bit around the area surrounding Zaphias. I've found a traveling Inn nearby to rest the party and replenish their TP and HP. The first night was for free, but I can't remember if there's a price or not after that. Either way, it's not too costly. I like Repede though. I want a dog exactly like him. lol

Sakura
We did a hide & seek game with my clan on OSRS tonight. Someone will hide in a random location anywhere on the map and they will give clues about where they are and the first person to find them will win and you got a rare item as a prize. I wasn't going to participate because I was thinking there is no way I am going to know any of these locations. They convinced me to at least try so I did and ended up figuring out and winning 2 of the 10 locations which is pretty good since about 50 people in our clan were participating and they only did 10 locations After that there was a drop party and I ended up getting 4 more items and in total made 88M tonight which is quite a lot ~ especially since I wasn't even going to go! Wish I had remembered to take a screenshot of everyone together, only got the ending part where most people had left :c Spoiler 1
Forlorn
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Switch): After grinding for a while around Zaphias I proceeded to Deidon Hold which had interesting scenes. It's a place that has a big gate that they closed because monsters were stampeding towards it. The gate held, but I spotted a giant of a monster that was in the stampede. I'm curious as to what items I can get from it, but I know I'm not exactly in a position to try to find it, let alone fight it, this early in the game. ^^; Yuri and Estella ran out to the other side of the gate to help 2 kids inside. One of the kids was injured, but Estella was able to cure her thanks to her bodhi blastia being able to heal injuries. After she healed the girl, they ran inside Deidon Hold. Yuri went to get a kid that basically was frozen in place from fear of the stampede, but he forgot their stuffed animal, so he ran out to get it, then kind of slid under the gate as it was closing, just in time for the gate to close just behind him. Having rescued the kids and the stuffed animal, they got noticed. They were going to keep a low profile, but who wouldn't try to help those kids? So, they got the attention of one of the Empire's knights, but some guild members were getting rowdy so the knight had bigger problems, fortunately for Yuri, Estella, and Repede. A leader of another guild whose name I don't think was mentioned or revealed just yet talked about another route to get to Halure, which was where the party was going to catch up to Flynn, or try to. I haven't gone into the forest that has the detour just yet because I've synthesized some armor and weapons for the party that have Skills they can learn through using the various armors and weapons in battles. I'm pretty sure I've had Yuri learn all there is for him to learn insofar as Skills (and even unlocked some powerful Artes (which are like spells and special moves that can be used at the cost of the mana required to use each Arte) for not only Yuri, but also for Estella, and Repede. Repede has more skills to learn from the synthesized equipment, but I can't remember if Estella does or doesn't at this point. After I battle enough times for Repede to learn all available Skills in the available Equipment in my inventory is when I'll go to Quoi Woods which is where the alternate path to get to Halure is. I'm not sure I can emphasize just how much I love this game in words. ^^ ^^

Forlorn
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Switch): I got through the alternate route to get to Halure which was Quoi Forest since the gate at Deidon Hold was closed for the time being. I think Repede still has a few more skills to learn, but after that is when I'll head to Halure to progress the story further. ^^ I was asleep most of the day today, so I haven't played any of it just yet, but that's as far as I got the last time I played it. ^^

Forlorn
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Switch): I FORGOT TO MENTION AN IMPORTANT... THINGY!!! lol While Yuri, Estelle, and Repede were trekking through the Quoi forest they came across a kid that for some reason mistook them for an eggbear. I still don't really know how he could mistake them for a monster, but shortly after introductions, the kid from the Monster Hunter Guild whose name is Karol decided to join them. So, I got a new party member~ ^^ ^^ I can't believe I forgot to add this in the last post. >< I've been having him learn what skills he can from the equipment I've synthesized for him in the store in Harule. After I get him to learn the skills that he can from the available synthesized equipment I was able to get is when I'll proceed to move forward in the story. In Harule, there's an enormous (I mean ridiculously gigantic) tree that's normally a natural barrier that keeps monsters away from the town, but the tree is dead or dying. Karol knows why it's happening to the tree which is blood from monsters that Flynn and his knights dispatched when they arrived before Yuri, Estelle, Repede, and Karol did. Karol knows how to cure it, but first the party needs to get the materials needed to synthesize a Panacea Bottle since the store in Harule was out of stock of the item. So, the first material is a nia fruit which is apparently extremely bitter on its own and is located in the Quoi Forest. It's what Yuri and Estelle were forcing themselves to eat when Estelle passed out after coming into contact with the ruins of a blastia in the forest. There was a concentration of aer, which sounds like is the fuel to use blastia, that Estelle approached because she'd never seen anything like that before, then she passed out. Yuri, ever the gentleman, decided to make camp in the area where Estelle passed out and waiting for her to come to while forcing himself to eat the nia fruit because they had to eat something. That's when Estelle woke up and asked what happened, but that's when they theorized that the supposed curse of the forest (which was conveniently left out by the woman at Deidon Hold who mentioned Quoi Forest as an alternate route to get to Harule) was the concentrations of aer that were in the forest. Estelle and Yuri tried to keep eating the nia fruit, but it's so bitter that Yuri wanted to cook them something so they wouldn't have to eat something with such a bitter taste to it. That's when a tutorial on cooking started (Pretty fun feature to play around with btw). Yuri made sandwiches for him and Estelle. I tried to use Repede to cook something but so far all he's cooked is dog food every time. XD After that is when they ran into Karol. Oh, when a party member cooks food (they're not always successful though ^^; ) there's a temporary boost in the stat(s) or a recovery of HP and MP as a result that affects the entire party. So, it's a pretty useful feature in this game. After the party gets the nia fruit, the Eggbear's claw is the next ingredient, followed by a flower petal of the tree of Halure's blossoms which the mayor of the city/town has and is the last thing to get. First though, before I heal the tree, I'm having Karol learn some Skills from armor and weapons. That's what I left out last time. ^^;

Sakura
We had Woodcutting Wednesday clan event and tons of clan members showed up! Probably woodcut together for a little over an hour and had a good time + chat. After that we had a lil party because someone was getting a 99. People were playing in the combat ring fighting each other, there was a little drop party, and just generally a good time. Forlorn
Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Switch) After collecting the items needed for the person that runs the General Store in Halure to make the Panacea bottle, Karol used it on the spot where the monsters' blood was sleeping into the ground and the gigantic, dying tree of Halure displayed some kind of lights, but that was it. Estelle wanted to heal the tree so badly that she tried using her curative bodhi blastia on it and heal it. It actually worked, and she brought the tree of Halure back to life and so Halure had its natural barrier to repel the monsters again. There were blossoms everywhere. It was a beautiful anime style cutscene. Apparently it took a lot out of Estelle though because she collapsed to her knees on the ground after the tree sprung back to life. After that, the party went to Aspio because someone mentioned Mordio was there. The guards at the entry to Aspio were rigid of course, and didn't budge from their stance of denying the party entry without a passport. There was a library to the left of the entrance that was locked, but Karol picked the lock. lol So, the party went inside and talked to the mages inside asking about Mordio. One of them told the party where to find the person. The group went to Mordio's house and Karol once again picked the lock, so they went right in. Unfortunately for Karol, Mordio was sleeping underneath a pile of books and when she woke up, she woke up angry that she had trespassers in her house. Karol ended up being the target of her anger when Mordio conjured a fireball spell headed straight for Karol which brought him to his knees. It was kind of funny because there was smoke coming from him. XD Yuri assumed Mordio was a guy, but it's a 15 year old girl who's pretty much the one in Aspio everyone knows about because of how different she is compared to the other mages in what she wears and her personality. Yuri was quick with the accusations, but Rita Mordio as it turned out her name is, talked about underground ruins and wondered if thieves had found out about it. She took the party to the Shaikos Ruins which is where the mages of Aspio were excavating blastia and blastia cores. They eventually came across a suspicious character who had the clothing of a mage of Aspio, but didn't know who Rita was which was impossible if he really had been from Aspio because I think she's got a reputation for being strange and is known by everyone there for better or worse. Unfortunately, the impostor put a blastia in a giant Golem and tried to make a break for it. With a party of Yuri, Repede, Estelle, and Rita, the Golem was defeated soon enough and Rita took its power source out so it wouldn't keep trying to smash them. Then they chased after the mage impostor and cornered him. He was a blastia core thief, but apparently there was more than one. He talked about a knight he'd met earlier that he was mad at which Yuri and Estelle knew had to be Flynn. The mastermind behind the ones stealing the blastia cores was described as being a really tall, strong guy with one eye and a scar on his cheek. Afterwords, they all went back to Aspio and Rita lent her passport to Yuri so he could get past the guards and not have to sneak in. Rita Mordio said to wait for her in her house. She didn't necessarily mean make themselves at home, but they did anyway which kind of annoyed her, but she didn't hurl any fireballs this time. She's mentioned something called an "anima formula" twice now, maybe three times, and I still don't know what that is just yet but I've got a feeling what it is will be unveiled later on in the story. The party was going to say goodbye to Rita, but she wanted to go with them to check if Halure was healed properly since it is still a blastia barrier and she's the professional with anything to do with blastia. I haven't gone to Halure with the newly formed party just yet because I'm trying to get Rita to learn some Skills since she's the newest edition to the group and doesn't know any off the bat. That's where I still am in the game is having Rita learn Skills. OH, and the impostor said Flynn was going to Nor Harbor. At least I think that's what he said before Rita sicced the guards of Aspio on him who then threw him in a cell. So, after going to Halure to see if Flynn returned there, the party is going to go to Nor Harbor to look for Flynn.
