Hello iMon!! How have you been, and how is Online Digimon going? Noticed the main site is down, is it undergoing renovation? Regarding Digi Legends... well I wanted to start expanding to other anime titles outside Digimon Frontier. We've pretty much exhausted the Digimon Frontier side of things. The community also shared this feeling too, so it was the best way to help get everyone involved in projects that they'd be interested in doing (there's only so much I can do by myself in terms of content, especially since now I'm working full-time). On a more technical note you will also have noted we're on the IPB suite. So far it's working out great having a single sign in without needing to use bridges (we were using Coppermine on the old gallery which felt disjointed with the main site). And welcome aboard. I must come down and visit your forums again sometime.

Fab does that menu include chicken burgers too? I've noticed a similar push here for new chicken products on the menu here due to rising beef costs it seems...

It seems interviews are like performances, give a good show bursting with confidence and saying things that hopefully the interviewer will like from you over the other candidates. Vale have you ever done group exercises as part of the selection process? I did one when applying for the Ambulance service. We had to make a model bridge and do calculations based on some figures we were given. I chose to be the project manager and ehh... didn't turn out so well, didn't get past the next stage. <_<

If you ever need more storage for video editing, USB 3 is fast enough for a decent scratchspace. By that I mean if you have archived some source footage and just want to drag and drop from your external that will work well (assuming of course you're connected to a USB 3 port). Going through all my Anime DVD and Blurays on HDDs is great for making screenshots but rapidly running out of storage again.

It certainly looks that way Fab. Indeed we all agree on: It should've been longer - rushed!! Preferring the SAO arc over the AO arc. I read through some of the light novel recently and was really surprised at some of the scenes. There was more context for Kirito's actions as his thoughts were written out. For example, it was heavily emphasised towards the end of SAO in the manga that he had to beat the system, to escape the confines of the system by spirit and will through Asuna. Whereas in the anime... it seemed to be portrayed more as a miracle as there were almost no voiceovers on the final SAO battle scene. Ah yes that is true... Towards the end though we do see the clone Rei becoming more self-aware, breaking away from her usual routine so maybe Shinji will get close to Rei again as she gains new memories? Need more opinions! Surely other members have seen it too?

Spent most of Sunday brushing up on my CSS stylesheet rules. News and updates moved back to a new slider, anime titles now have image buttons = pretty front page. Just need to spruce up the other Anime front page sections too.

I've played Blue, Yellow, Gold, Crystal and Fire/Red. Played a few of the new ones but haven't passed them yet. I'm still attached to the first 250'ish Pokémon, the rest... not so much. Must break that nostalgia! If anything, the improvements in X/Y should bring me back to give the games another go. And that Mewtwo form is bizarre.

I can confirm I am going to Japan late September to October for 2 weeks. Places to visit will include Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima... I must admit I'm not sure what to expect but I hear it will be an amazing experience. At least this time it will be a lot more closer than Europe both time zones and distance.

Hot and spicy crispy chicken with all those delicious herbs and spices! Your typical KFC experience? Favourite menu items? How often do you eat it? I find the KFCs here are usually decent. You know when it's freshly cooked when you take that crispy bite and see all that steam come out, potentially burning yourself slightly. My favourite KFC menu item is the Zinger burgers. The tangy mayo and lettuce works well together. I also love the Twisters. I eat KFC occasionally. It is very filling and although it's super tasty, for me I don't tend to feel great afterwards. It is definitely one of the better value fast food outlets though when you get the buckets or family/dinner packs...

I watched the first episode today. The main characters are so silly, but that is to be expected given the Sentai nature of the team. Gorgeous animation for the battle scenes, ships and mobile suits. But... it didn't draw me in like Gundam SEED did. Maybe it was the comical nature of the characters or the fast pace at which they quickly familiarised themselves to be combat ready so quickly. They won so quickly causing the villains to retreat, all that packed at the start just results in little tension! I hope it gets better in the next few episodes.

They say getting your first full-time/permanent job is hard. I agree with this as it took me 6 months of job seeking to finally get my first FT job! Some tips based on my experience... Not getting interviews? Get your Resume/CV checked by others. Get your friends or career centres to check it. 1-2 pages is the norm here if you're going for your first job. Are you customising your cover letters for each position? If not it will look vague and show lack of effort. Do you meet most of the selection criteria? Don't SPAM applications unless you are qualified for them! Get more relevant experience and references. You may need to volunteer for the government, emergency services, etc. if you don't have any part-time/casual job references. Not passing interviews? Practice in front of the mirror! Record your responses and play them back! My first interviews I was nervous so of course the other more confident people competing with you will get the job. Practice, and be confident. Research the company/field/average salary. They will usually ask questions on this to test your understanding and interest of the position and company. ALWAYS ask questions at the end to show interest! Does anyone else have any job seeking tips or experiences to share that may help others to find their first FT job?

Where do I start... and bearing in mind I will definitely give this a second viewing because this was very convoluted yet intriguing because almost none of it mirrored the original TV series story! We're taken 14 years in the future after Shinji initiated third impact but was stopped by Kaworu based on the short teaser we saw at the end credits of Evangelion 2.0. Things are radically different, NERV is a shadow of its former self. Shinji wakes up on board the Wunder ship with a crew wanting to put an end to NERV's activities. Asuka and Mari are even more badass with their awesome battle skills, combined with the Wunder flying ship and its flying navy! As the movie went on I felt more questions kept popping up with few answers. Thoughts: What happened during those 14 years? Kaworu befriends Shinji and eventually explains the cause and effect of the third impact but it doesn't quite paint the full picture of why Misato, Ritsuko, Ikari and all the previous characters we all knew came to be split into two groups. And Suzuhara is a medical officer?! Heck where did these new characters come from? Hope we learn more about their story. Did Rei Ayanami survive during the third impact incident? Shinji struggles trying to find the Ayanami he thought he saved. Back in the TV series the first Rei sacrificed herself by going kamikazi with the N2 weapon. It's not quite clear whether the original Ayanami survived back in 1.0 and towards the beginning of 2.0 as she and Shinji were getting close. Gendo Ikari and SEELE? Towards the end we see Fuyutsuki flicking switches which appear to be shutting down SEELE (killing them?) so that Gendo can continue the Human Instrumentality Project to be closer to Yui (his continued affection for Yui hasn't changed here) But why was SEELE silent for so long during those 14 years? Fourth impact - Kaworu and Shinji are ordered to retrieve the two spears which causes the fourth impact. This was the most convoluted part which left me reeling. Was it Gendo acting rogue or SEELE that orchestrated this plan? How did either one of the two know Kaworu was an angel if it was orchestrated? Mari's past - We still don't know Mari's past! She was introduced in Evangelion 2.0 as a new pilot and I was hoping we would know more about her but it seems this was Shinji's and Kaworu's story... Otherwise it was beautiful. I really liked how Kaworu's character was explored much more deeply in Evangelion 3.0 compared to the TV series. Yes he had a lot of focus in the TV series too but we see a side of him we haven't seen before. The way he was introduced is also very different, in the original TV series he was a replacement pilot after Toji was incapacitated. Here we're left guessing as it's not clear what happened exactly during those 14 years, but it's clear he was around since the start as he was the one that stopped third impact from happening during Evangelion 2.0. What are your thoughts and how did you find it?
