  1. Continuing to be hot and sunny . Current temp 25c
  2. I'm currently rewatching the absolute gem of a series known as Yuru Camp. Everything about this series is so good, the artwork, animation, background music and storyline are excellent. Then there's the wonderful cast, the quiet, softly spoken introverted solo camper Rin Shima and the energetic extroverted Nadeshiko Kagamihara make a perfect team. This series is just so enjoyable and such great fun to watch.
  3. Welcome to the forum. Pull up a cushion, or a chair if sitting on the floor isn't your thing, and make yourself at home.
  4. I've got two favourite female characters, and I find it hard to choose between them. Nagisa Furukawa, from Clannad & Clannad: After Story. A frail, sensitive and shy girl who cares deeply about her friends. Despite her introverted nature she is a friendly, and at times energetic, girl who is determined to achieve what she sets out to do. Rin Shima, from Yuru Camp. An introvert and loner by choice who values time spent by herself, but who is willing to join in with others and share what she enjoys doing. Favourite male character, Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad & Clannad: After Story. Outwardly a cynical sarcastic delinquent but this hides a sociable and caring personality and he is always willing to help his friends.
  5. A few more recommendations for you. Gunslinger Girl. The basic premise of this series is certainly morally questionable. Souko no Strain. A stylish Sci-fi series where one of the characters questions the morality of a decision made years in the past. Madoka Magica. A very stylish Magical Girl series, which is totally unlike any other Magical Girl series and a lot darker as the girls find they have paid a high price to gain their powers.
  6. Actually, I think that applies to all of us.

  8. Looking through that line up: Definitely interested in The Girl I Like Forgot her Glasses. Quite interested in Blue Orchestra. Curious about Horimiya-piece-. Might possibly be interested in The Dreaming Boy is a Realist.
  9. I'm not too impressed with that line up so far. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is the only one that interests me at present.
  10. Warm and sunny with temperatures in the 22 - 25c range My kind of weather. I just hope it lasts until my holidays.
  11. I definitely do not want a Tiktok account. Twitter, Facebook and YouTube steal WAY TO MUCH of my time and the last thing I want is another social media platform. I'm already cutting back on my Twitter usage because Twitter has become rather boring lately. I'm trying to cut back on my YouTube usage, the problem there is that I'm interested in a lot of things and YouTube has a lot of videos about the things I'm interested in.

  13. OK, off the top of my head: Clannad & After Story. White Album 2. Horimiya. Tsuki ga kirei. The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Golden Time. ef:A Tale of Memories.

  15. It's a strange phenomenon that occurs when there's a gap in the clouds and that bright yellow disk appears in the sky.
  16. I think that being hugged by a girl you didn't know could be a problem for a guy as well. It's never happened to me, but I came close. While waiting in the line to get into the dealer's room at an anime con there was the girl in a cute cosplay outfit going along the line hugging people, she missed me out, probably because she thought I looked old enough to be her father, and she wouldn't have been far out about that.
  17. I've now finished rewatching My Dress-Up Darling. I enjoyed watching this series more than a thought I would because Wakana Gojo and Marin Kitagawa are a wonderfully mismatched pair of characters, one might even go as far as to say they are perfectly mismatched, as their personalities complement each other and they work together so well. I'm pleasantly surprised at how little gratuitous fan-service there was, yes, we do see a lot of Marin, but not really much more than would be seen in a 'beach episode'. Personally I thought this was a good thing because I find that fan-service laden series can get boring very quickly. Overall I thought that the series had a good storyline which was well told and supported by excellent artwork and animation. I was pleased to see that a second series is in preparation, as far as I am aware no date has been announced but rumours suggest late 2023/early 2024.
  18. That's a difficult question to answer, but raking back through my memory of a quarter century of anime watching I think that it was most likely to have been the Macross movie Macross: Do You Remember Love.
