You have my sympathies. One of the thing I really don't like is going to the dentist. When I was younger I had some nasty experiences with dentists, my current dentist is a nice guy and a good dentist, I even changed from being an NHS patient to a private patient just so I could keep him as my dentist. I'm sure you had a great time with the seals. I think US waffles are a bit different to what we call waffles as I can't imagine anyone eating them on their own. Knowing how much your sister likes New York this doesn't surprise me.

Quiet days in print rooms are like gold dust and should be savoured to the full ---- Today my friendly handyman came round to repair the hole in my bathroom sinks waste pipe. So now the water will go down the drain not down onto the back doorstep . Other than that' I've done nothing because it's been too hot and muggy.

I would remind you that bats are a protected species and any interference or harassment of them or their habitat is against the law.

It's only 10am and the temp is already 30C

I've seen a few weird people in my travels by train, but I've seen more weird people on buses and at bus stations. We have Greyhound buses in the UK but I've never used them so I can't say if there's any weird people using them.

I'm one of those people who like to watch an entire series from start to finish before starting a new one.

Did you watch the special extended edition ? I thought it a good movie, but wasn't happy with the substitution of Arwen Evenstar for Glorfindel, there's no way Arwen could even begin to approach the amount of power possessed by Glorfindel. A friend and I once watched all three extended editions in a single day. Hard going, but the best way to appreciate the trilogy.
