Since Funimation left their partnership with Crunchyroll, I can no longer watch Code Geass on there......nor can I finish Three Leaves, Three Colors.......

    A sad day.

@drill it involves their new original High Guardian Spice, and how it was more of a political statement than something to get me interested in the show.

High Guardian Spice is kind of a non-issue afaic.  Once it exists maybe I'll have an opinion.  My only issue with that sort of thing is that it is spending money on production when I'd rather see places like Crunchy, Fun, etc. be more about cheap distribution of all anime, rather than "wasting" subscriber money on speculative production of de-facto exclusive content.  (See my previous comment on what I think of exclusivity.)  I have the same feelings towards in-house content of places like netflix and syfy.  Especially syfy, with their penchant for cancelling otherwise good shows before they're finished.. but that's another matter entirely.  I can't really fault Crunchy for trying it however.  The entire entertainment industry is twisted in favor of that sort of (bad) behavior.

This is just a thought, but is their making of that show really any different than Netflix making their own original stuff?  They seem to have gotten big enough where they feel that they can dedicate resources to things like this, and wouldn't be surprised if they were able to make money off of the show as well.  So, if anything its like they are investing with subscriber money, and the subscribers don't have a lot of faith in that move, but don't really have much say in it other than turning off their subscription.
