  1. 2 more days... I might start it next week.
  2. I really like PicsArt - It has a lot of great effects you can use on a variety of photo types. It’s basically a photo editing app, but it also has effects you can add besides basic filters and standard photo editing and collages that most apps or phones come with.
  3. Yo. I’m glad you poked your head in... still here?
  4. A while back I was looking into buying a tablet that was specifically created to make art on, not sure if it was a type of iPad or something, but has anyone bought one of these art tablets? Or know what the best one is with lots of great features? I download art aps on my phone all the time and sometimes I’m extremely dissapointed due to limitations and sometimes I’m blown away. I imagine it’s the same with these types of devices. Feedback would be great guys!
  5. @HanaApril that is super cute Maneki-neko. I believe that the legends surrounding lucky cat, or Maneki-neko run through much of Asia, it’s hard to tell where the story originated. I do know that it has been made part of both Chinese & Japanese culture, and like you said many people count on its fortune.
  6. I assume we are all well versed in anime and the cultural aspects that are imparted into the shows we enjoy. I wrote this poem with the frame of mind that the bitterness of life’s experiences can rob us of our taste for things, our food and drinks are less enjoyable when we have lost a taste for life so to speak. I am aware that this is a common concept in Anime, although it may be overlooked by some, the concept spoke to me in this way, and so I wrote Taste of the seasons.
  7. Awesome review @Ohiotaku thanks for the update
  8. @D'RIS ya it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I will say I prefer the anime to the manga, although I haven’t read the light novel. I totally understand being let down by a movie when you’ve read the book. Harry Potter films were like that for me since I was a huge fan of those books. its too bad you couldn’t get into it, I think episode 7 is when it gets really good. Although there are a few small harem characteristics, it’s not especially focused on that, overall I think it’s a highly dismissable concept in this series, as it isn’t the main or even a huge focus.
  9. I love the random moments that come out of coffee shops, full of sleep deprived citizens seeking wake wake juice. Whether it’s the barista that can’t quite spell your name right, or the random customers you meet while there. Share some funny stories that you’ve seen or heard of at a coffee shop.
  10. Yes @Ohiotaku hopefully it was just one of the few filler episodes they tend to do in between missions, usually when embarking on a new journey. Luckily these things tend to pass quickly and get back to the main part of the show. So I just watched ep 13, and it wasn’t at all a filler! i loved the new into and outro, also the plot thickens. This is a great episode to come back to. I think Ren is going to redeem at least himself in the updiming episodes, hopefully the other hero’s follow suit and wise up.
  11. Bright Eyes They stream tears of joy sometimes - Sometimes tears of anger Neither of these tears misplaced for one so young in age In your eyes I see many things - But most affectively, my regrets As they slip further away from the purity they once held. - In honor of National Poetry Month
  12. So a friend of mine told me his version of the fable of the lucky cat and I’ll share how I remember it. There was a fisherman at the dock who was having a hard time getting a good harvest, he stayed out all day in his fishing boat and could only manage to get one fish. As he was coming in for the day he saw a cat sitting at the end of the fishing dock. The cat looked hungry, so he gave it his only fish. From then on when he went back out to sea, the cat would sit at the end of the fishing dock and bring him the fortune of a good harvest. I know I probably don’t have all of the details, but anyway I still treasure this story.
  13. Good luck on your test today!

    Here’s lucky cat

  14. Well this brought back memories! I loved my old PlayStation. Still have the ps2, I should break it out soon.
  15. @Dot.com no, but nice try. How about this one: A powerful man of once reputable skill, changes his priorities and begins saving commoners all the while wearing a long red skirt and using his skill in the complete opposite way than it was intended.
  16. So I woke up yesterday with a swollen knee. Still trying to keep up with housework, and giving my daughter attention instead of setting her down in front of the tv for hours since that never ends well. So today I’m feeling pretty chipper but still have swollen knee, and have managed to stave off TV addiction another day
  17. Anyone whose played the Original Lode Runner game should be excited to know that the Switch has an updated version. It’s got the same gameplay as original just updated in terms of color, sound, and new characters - plus lots of modification tools within the game. Heres a good article https://videochums.com/review/lode-runner-legacy
  18. Granted, but you have to be brainwashed too. I wish I could visit other worlds through pictures, like in Prince caspian
  19. Every once in a while I’ll get O Canada stuck in my head (I’m a US citizen...) so why What at is the most random thing that gets stuck in your head?
  20. I have got to watch this in English now to see the accent! I’ll bet it’s so disturbing to see how people think of southerners... Ill work on fixing that hard to read font that came about Hard to do much on my phone
  21. @Beocat yea can't compare D.C. and Marvel. I prefer Marvel, the DC. Stuff is way more serious (usually) and dark. Marvel does comedy a lot more and better for sure. Maybe I'll rewatch it later with different expectations and see if that helps.
  22. I find that I’m nearly always driving during the sunset. Sunrise is a better time for me to do whatever I want. No plans that early. I used to walk at the water front when I lived down town. It was the best way to start my day. I’ve fallen away from that early morning habit now though.
  23. Welcome D’RIS! Hope you enjoy your time here
  24. Thanks for the input, I think I’d like the dub better too, but I’m watching on Crunchyroll so their dubs are few and far between. I like the series so far, I’m enjoying Makotos character a lot already. It’s refreshing to see her be honest with herself, even in her faults. Ep2 thoughts
  25. Do you like photography as a hobby? Have you ever woken up at sunrise to take photos? Almost anything looks good at sunrise
