  1. Check the link. According to that, the English title is "Twin Star Exorcists". I'm going to assume that's the "dub" title. It also came out in 2016 from what that page says, so there probably is a dub version. Edit: I looked it up, and seems it doesn't have a dub. The manga has an English release, though. Sorry about that. I just assumed it had one since a lot of people here watch dubs. Anyway, if you like random comedy, maybe you'll enjoy the Jungle wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu series. I'm pretty sure this has a dub version. Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai has a dub, and that's kind of random too. That parodies stuff.
  2. If you like parodies, dimension hopping, and comedy, then maybe you could check out Abenobashi Mahou Shoutengai. If OAVs count, you could check out Gunsmith Cats.
  3. How do you feel so far regarding Naruto? It's long and continues into Naruto Shippuden, also long. For me personally, I became bored and dropped it. The fact that you're asking this question has me wondering if the series isn't pulling you in enough to want to see what happens next, but if I'm wrong, I stand corrected. I feel it would be better to ask for recommendations based on genres that you like in other forms of media. I like crime, mystery, adventure, jousei, and fantasy and am drawn to manga of those nature and some anime.
  4. An old song, but it's still catchy. Obsession by Animotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5Lec3m1pLY I forgot how to do the YT link thing. ^^
  5. Yeah, I guess for the anime I got sick of seeing it over and over again, but like I said, I'm still into its manga for the reasons you said regarding the anime. It's taken 1000 years, but Shinichi . I tend to also figure out the who, not the why and how. The why usually fully comes out after the culprit is identified anyway. I've seen all the movies except for 16 and 17, I think. The upcoming film will be my last DC movie watched in theaters in Japan, though since I'm moving back to the US in about three weeks. As for Hunter x Hunter, it's nice to hear that someone likes the original too. I saw one of the HxH movies in theater here, but forgot which one. I kinda liked the music of the 1999 version and the art style a bit more. The 2011 version was too bright and...modern (maybe) for me, I guess...
  6. Kuroshitsuji. It takes place during the Victorian era. It starts off accurate to the manga, but then goes off and does its own thing after a while because the manga is still running and is released monthly as opposed to weekly like other titles. There are two seasons (the second being all anime original) and some movies (which are based on arcs/stories from the manga).
  7. Now a few years ago, Detective Conan would've made my list, but I got bored of the anime about 600-something eps in. I just dropped it. The only thing anime related I keep up with for this series are the movies now and looking forward to April 13 for this year's film. Can't wait to buy my ticket. I do still keep up with its manga, though. That hasn't lost me yet and I don't think it ever will. Also, for Hunter x Hunter, which one? The original series or the 2011 series?
  8. I forgot to mention other series I really enjoy(ed), that I consider favorites... Kuroshitsuji Detective Conan Hunter x Hunter (whenever it's not on Hiatus x Hiatus >_> ) Zelda no Densetsu: Twilight Princess Gokusen Fruits Basket Marmalade Boy Black Cat Death Note Tales of Symphonia
  9. Getaway by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
  10. You know, I was trying to think...but for me, this is difficult. For a series to be a favorite for me, it has to have some kind of rewatch value...meaning, I can rewatch the entire series at most any time and not get sick of it. Unfortunately, a lot of shows don't do that for me. It's more like certain episodes I can revisit, not the series as a whole...so coming up with 10 is difficult for me, but here goes... ^^ Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Ronin Warriors) Gunsmith Cats Lupin III (1971 version) Cowboy Bebop Gundam Wing Bannou Bunka Neko-Musume DASH! Hunter x Hunter (1999 version) Noir Other shows that would've made this kind of list years ago, wouldn't now due to the fact that they no longer hold my interest...like the various Tenchi Muyo series or .hack//SIGN for instance. Certain eps I can rewatch, and that also goes for series like Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball/DBZ/DBGT.
  11. I'm pretty sure the first game I ever played was either Duck Hunt or Super Mario Bros on the NES. Both were still fairly new at the time. Not sure how I'd rank them. I had a lot of fun playing them, but looking back...I can't bring myself to play it (SMB) anymore. Not the NES version anyway...maybe the SNES version since you could save your game. Maybe I'd rank both at a 6 or 7? Edit: I forgot I already answered this, but I can't delete. ^^;
  12. Senbei. I really need to stop eating them though. I'm in "I'm too lazy to cook" mode at the moment. ^^ I think "oishii" would work better here. ^^

    +Anima

    I don't think I really had a favorite character. I really couldn't relate to either of them, but I'm going to go with Senri. I liked them all about the same, though, but Senri I always wanted to hug because he was just so adorable. I don't know how anyone can read this series and NOT love Senri. Hm, but thinking about it, seems I could kinda relate to Cooro. There's one thing he does that mirrors me so well. If someone makes a decision, he doesn't try to talk that person out of it. Like, Cooro was pretty much like, "Well, it's his decision and choice, who am I to talk him out of it." Cooro would make a terrible salesperson...just like me. I'm like, "Would you like to buy this?" If the person says, "No thanks." I'm like, "Okay." So yeah...I'm like that and so is Cooro. Anyway, yeah. It did start off vague. Cooro just said, "Oh, I'm looking for other +Anima" and that was it. I like how we saw how Cooro was getting used to being around people and befriending them. Despite his simplistic demeanor, there was more to him than that and the last volume showed us why he's so mysterious and why up until that point, we rarely ever knew what he truly felt or thought, unlike those like Husky and Nana who were pretty open about what they felt and how they felt. When it came to interactions between our main four, I really found Husky and Nana's interactions some of the more humorous, but mainly because of Husky being a "woman hater" and having to be around Nana. I liked how So yeah, I really liked this series a lot and I think an animated series would've worked for this maybe around the early to mid 2000s. Seems a lot of stuff now is all flashy and stuff. This is kind of a down-to-earth type of series. I think it would've been nice to see a continuation, to see . Stuff like that.
  14. +Anima is one of my favorites. I made a thread about it someplace on this forum. It's such an underrated series. https://animeforums.net/community/threads/anima.1563/
  15. For me, it was more than likely Voltron. The original 1984 version. I didn't care much for it (liked the theme song, though...so epic), but my older cousin loved it and was a huge fan. He even had a big Voltron poster in his room. He had five years on me, so I was no match for him when it came to the television so fighting against him was pointless. lol
  16. I don't think there's ever been an English release of them. I do own some manga, but it's in Japanese and I found it in a vintage manga shop over here.
  17. This is a difficult question to answer these days since I've lived here for so long (2010 - 2011, left for almost a year, then came back in 2012 and have been here ever since)...not always in Tokyo, though. I used to live up north in the Tohoku region. I actually prefer it up there (friendlier people)...but up there, especially with the last job I had there, I had to drive and I hated that (not big on driving in general) because of the darn test to get the license. For those from the US, you can't translate your license over like other countries, like say Canada. You have to sit the test. I, apparently, lived in one of the areas where it's most difficult for foreigners to pass the test and every time you took it, you had to pay about $20. I'd been driving at least 11 or 12 years prior to that stateside and had a clean driving record, so it frustrating with some of the stupid reasons they would give to fail me, like "being too cautious" or "signaling too soon" before changing lanes. Ugh...9 freakin' times! Other than that, I guess living here was okay. I did meet some nice people while here, both Japanese and people who aren't from Japan. I do like how the country is made for walking around and stuff. I guess for me, personally, Japan is definitely a country that's better to visit than to live in, unless you have a job that pays a lot, but also gives you a lot of time off (paid) and don't have to worry about medical stuff. The main reason I'm leaving the job I had isn't because of them, but it's just too expensive for me here at this point. I can't truly enjoy myself or explore as much as I would like due to finances and it's mainly because I'm diabetic and take insulin. Despite having insurance, it's a bit expensive once factoring other costs of living. Up north I had an easier time (more money, but less time...here, the opposite more time, less money), but the doctors are better down here with more job opportunities. Sorry for rambling, but I guess to honestly answer your question, you'd have to ask something a bit more specific. ^^;
  18. Welcome to the forum. Nice question there. For me, I have no real plans, but I am planning on moving back home to the US at the end of April. I guess my plan is finding a new job once I move back home and plan to visit Japan next year.
  19. For me, it's the same as Fruits Basket. The anime was made while the manga was going and stuff was changed for the anime because the manga wasn't at that point and with FB, they even changed something they really shouldn't have regarding Akito because the reveal hadn't been made in the manga yet. Same with the 1999 Hunter x Hunter series. It had to stop after the Greed Island arc. For the first Kuroshitsuji anime, it started going off in its own direction after the arc with Prince from India, iirc. The second anime series was its own anime original thing. I liked both for what they were. Now, the movies are good because they actually adapt actual stories from the manga. Now my preference...probably the manga. There's more story and I'm more into story-based things and where the manga is now...it's just crazy! I would like the anime more, if it had started more after the manga so that more of it could be adapted into anime form....but even with that, I'd probably still prefer the manga to it. That's because the manga probably wasn't there at that point and the anime had to come up with something to complete its episode quota. That's the problem with adapting an ongoing series...liberties have to be taken because the source material isn't ahead enough to do anything with. It was an odd choice to make a full anime series in general for Kuroshitsuji since the manga itself is published monthly as opposed to weekly. Seems the series would've gotten OVAs instead, which would've been more plausible, imo, or just stick to theatrical releases which are stories adapted straight from the manga. I finally saw one Kuroshitsuji movie in theaters last year...the Book of Atlantic. It was great and I really wanted to see it because of Elizabeth as she was awesome during that arc! Sucks there wasn't a theatrical release for this year. Seems Book of Atlantic is my first, and last, Kuroshitsuji movie here in Japan as I'm moving home May 1.
  20. Spain and London are still places that I'd like to visit.
  21. Hm, well for me, I got bored of anime a few years ago...but not just anime a lot of things. Anyway, imo, I feel some anime is just too flashy now...but maybe it's my age too. I'm still mostly drawn to 70s - 90s stuff.
