Agreed. I love her work, such as Tsubasa Wo Motsu Mono, Fruits Basket, Hoshi Wa Utau and Liselotte To Majo No Mori. Why don't they adapt her series' into anime? And also give Fruits Basket a proper anime adaptation?

Not sure if this counts... All-female cast Look, I like cute girls as much as the next guy, but seriously? Seriously? There's already a lack of male characters I can relate to enough as it is. I would say that one male character would be enough, but that'd inevitably turned into a harem. In School Idol Project, I just kind of assumed that Honoka's father was dead because they didn't have any male characters up until the point he made a brief cameo. And then in Sunshine!!, there weren't even any guys in the background. I feel like we need some all-male cast anime to counter-balance...and then stop this non-sense altogether.
-
That would work, too. I don't mind. But before I post anything, I was wondering if you'd consider changing the Episode Discussion so as to include what I'm talking about?

Pretending to kill a character I saw this one anime that had a character be fatally wounded and then die, even degenerate from existence, then they had a "in memoriam" as the credits rolled. But, to no one's surprised, the character was alive and well the next episode because that's just one of their abilities, but I was still ticked the heck off! I mean, why even have a "in memoriam" at all, if not just to slap your audience in face!? It's not that I want characters to die, but if you're going to make it seem like they're going to die, at least have the guts to kill them!!

Hey, so I was thinking of starting a discussion about a light novel volume, but then I realized...none of the current sections seem appropiate for that. So I was wondering, should there be a section for discussing manga and light novel volumes individually? I think this would be a great way to encourage people to talk about those type of series, as those series can be quite long as opposed to the anime they're adapted into, which tend to be just 12-episodes and usually don't cover the whole series. And manga and light novels come out at a slower pace then anime episodes, so they stay relative for longer times. What do you think?

Forgot a couple, of course I would, I'm on hiatus for both of these series'. [spoiler=FLONNE - DISGAEA]Sweet and innocent, she is a angel afterall. [spoiler=KII - WATAMOTE]Also sweet.

Which anime left you with a feeling of crushing disappointment?
Mars Terra replied to Cy~'s topic in Anime Discussion
Well, I wasn't expecting it to be original with it being a story about revenge, then again, I haven't seen a lot of gangster moves, so what do I know? -
I realized that the more child-like a girl looks, the cuter she is, before I even knew what a loli was. [spoiler=Yoshino - Date A Live]Yoshino is shy and so freaking adorable! No one can resist her cuteness! [spoiler=Yutaka Kobayakawa - Lucky Star]A loli in a anime where all the characters already look like lolis. [spoiler=Edna - Tales Of Zestiria]It's okay if she's a bit of a jerk, because she's so cute. [spoiler=Illya - Fate/Stay Night]Episode 10 made me like her. [spoiler=Nanako - Persona 4: The Animation]She's so cute! And everything she says just makes her cuter! [spoiler=Lisa - The Sacred Blacksmith]Just because. Her backstory is also a little messed up.

I must disagree about 91 Days, as it is one of my favorite anime. [spoiler=SPOILERS FOR 91 DAYS]I didn't felt it was predictable, and I thought it was sad whenever someone was killed. And it had a good moral about revenge being completely meaningless. Avilio learns the hard way that there were still things he had left. And all his actions just ended up screwing everyone over, and so is hatred. As for Durarara!!, it's understandable if you feel like there's no meaning to anything that happens, Renee. Things don't start getting good until about halfway through. I felt that Mikado had no importance to the story, so why was he the main character? But it'll make sense later. -
Rising Hope...is a opening...? I saw a top 100 ED with it in it, the song and animation were both the opening, though they write the name of the actual ending song.

Cyan, azure or just straight up blue. Post who your favorite character from a series is that has blue hair. Torche from Monster Hunter Flash Hunter is who I'm going with right now, as she's the least likely to be said. Put bluntly, she is a airhead, and as such, she's not very good at communicating with other people and makes a lot of mistakes, but that's what makes her relatable. Share your favorite!

I didn't know there was anyone else on this forums that liked Nagi No Asukara. Muco, we have to talk about it. I'll PM you, okay? -
Ah, here's something interesting. I was just looking through the anime that I've completed and found Shiki. Shiki wasn't a terrible anime, but it had some of the slowest pacing I've ever seen in a anime, with whole episodes going by with nothing happening. If it were 12-episodes long, this wouldn't have been a problem. So the guy above is Natsuno Yuuki, he is supposed to be one of the protagonists and we see a lot of scenes with him that shows his story. But I felt he didn't really do anything, not even in the end, so I was disappointed in him.

Kami Nomi Zo Shiru Sekai! The premise is, Keima Katsuragi, thinking it is an invitation to a game challenge, accepts a contract to "conquer" girls and has to team up with a demon named Elsie in order to capture loose spirits that have placed themselves in the hearts of girls. In order to capture them, Keima must make the girls fall in love with him, thus driving the spirit out. The girls forget the "conquest" after the loose souls are driven out, so you don't need to worry about this becoming a harem...at least until season 3. It's based on dating sims, so alot of the characters' personalities are derived from character archetypes you typically find in those, but the characters are far from 2-dimensional, the author instead uses these traits to give each a relatable problem. If you do decide to take this series up, be sure to watch the seasons and OVAs in order, or simply read the manga. -
Yoshinon from the Date A Live series comes to mind. According to the second OP, Yoshinon is his own character, despite him appearing to be a puppet. If the latter were true, then Yoshino is the greatest ventriloquist of all time. I actually got a Yoshinon puppet from a japanese festival earlier this year, it makes a pretty good hand fan. (LOL)

Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. [spoiler=SPOILERS FOR PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA]Madoka might be my favorite character, but Homura is a close second! I think that being able to go from being very timid, to being such a strong-willed person is pretty cool in itself. But of course, her ability to manipulate time makes her powerful enough to quickly defeat most of her foes, but not enough that she's ridiculously overpowered.

Moe is something cute a character says or does that causes you to feel affection for them. Like ending sentences with nya, or a older character acting child-like. Or, at least, that is what I've come to undestand moe as.

World Trigger Premise: When a gate to another world suddenly opens on Earth, Mikado City is invaded by strange creatures known as "Neighbors," malicious beings impervious to traditional weaponry. In response to their arrival, an organization called the Border Defense Agency has been established to combat the Neighbor menace through special weapons called "Triggers." Even though several years have passed after the gate first opened, Neighbors are still a threat and members of Border remain on guard to ensure the safety of the planet. Currently on: Chapter 76. Take: It's not very often you find a science fiction manga outside of mech, I feel, so it's refreshing. There is a good story and good action, but characters seem to be able to come up with plans without any prior knowledge of the situation, somehow being 2 steps ahead. Maybe that's just to show how well-coordinated they are, still...it didn't feel like that before. D.Gray-man Premise: Set in the 19th century, it tells the story of a young Allen Walker, who joins an organization of exorcists named the Black Order. They use an ancient substance, Innocence, to combat a man known as the Millennium Earl and his demonic army of Akuma who intend to destroy humanity. Currently on: Chapter 13. Take: It is surprisingly dark so far, so I'm enjoying it. It does start off a little iffy, but it gets good really fast. Fruits Basket Premise: After the accident in which she lost her mother, 16-year-old Tohru moves in with her grandfather, but due to his home being renovated, is unable to continue living with him. Claiming she will find someone to stay with but also fearing the criticism of her family and not wanting to burden any of her friends, Tohru resorts to secretly living on her own in a tent in the woods. Yuki Souma, the "prince" of her school, and his cousin Shigure Souma, a famous author, stumble across Tooru's situation and invite her to stay with them. She soon learns the Sohma family's secret, 13 members of their family are possessed by spirits of the zodiac animals, when they are hugged by the opposite gender or weak, they turn into their respective animal. Currently on: Chapter 83. Take: It is a very sad, but also somewhat sweet series. But right now, they keep alternating between Tohru's and Yuki's story, which is kind of annoying. Kare Kano Premise: Miyazawa Yukino is the perfect student. Kind, intelligent, pretty and modest, it's unbelievable that such a person could exist. Little did everyone know Yukino's perfection was just a facade. An act to fulfill her desire for praise and admiration. Her life took a turn however, as a newcomer to their school Arima Soichiro topped the exam rankings. Arima is more than just intelligent, he's also kind, handsome and modest, an unbelievable person who can actually exist. Even worse luck, Arima found out Yukino's secret, blackmailing her to help him out. Their odd relationship soon develops into friendship and eventually into love. But can their love prevail through the many problems that come their way? Currently on: Chapter 8. Take: I can sympathize with the characters, but the story feels a bit bare-bones, like they'll run out of story at any moment.

Teru, I feel your pain. I'm pretty much the same way with anime. I have a ton of anime that will replace the ones I'm currently watching right now with...and then I'll proceed to pile a ton of more anime onto myself... ... Regardless, can you please tell me if Dagashi Kashi is any good?

Who is your favorite Madoka Magica character?
Mars Terra replied to SanguineTear's topic in Anime Discussion
Orius, you've helped me realize something, Saya wasn't that bad of a character. She and Madoka have a bit of a sweet relationship, with Madoka giving her emotional support, and she'll protect Madoka. She's a bit overprotective of the people she cares about, which may has been the reason her sense of justice became distorted, but I can't blame her. Because I did understand what Mami was trying to tell her, but I simply didn't see what it mattered like she didn't. I'm sure she would have become a better person, if Kyubey hadn't ruined her life...ruined everything... -
Madoka Kaname from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Although I don't like her outfit, she makes a adorable goddess! Therie's also Shia from Pita-Ten (right). She has demon wings, you know, 'cause she's a demon. She's shy, so I like her.

It wasn't a big problem for the most part. But if all your teammates die, then enemies are all going to come at you none stop, so it can be hard to get out of situations like that. Then again, if you let all your teammates die, isn't that kind of your own fault?
