What's the weather like where you are?

We had a couple rain clouds last night I think that helped dropped the overnight temperature to the 70s however today it is back up to 90s.

I know the feeling.  Not that bad here (yet) but hot enough that I took a few minutes this weekend to change the air filter and clean the leaves and critter leavings from the air conditioner, just in case.  Fortunately around here the humidity is usually very low if it gets that warm.  Sometimes even single-digit low.  In that case I'm good to about 95F/35C if I have a fan, a cold drink, and some shade.

I did get a little melted on the way home from work today.  The parking lot at work has no real shade so the car was f.. quite warm after sitting there all day.

The humidity here is what is the worst part. The air feels sticky and heavy as if you can't breathe.

I lived in Alabama for about a year when I was a kid so I know that feeling as well.  Sometimes I wondered if having gills might work better than using lungs.  :D

Yeah the further South you get the worse that humidity seems to get on the East Coast. Not sure about the West because I haven't spent much time over there. KY is wayyy more humid than Chicago though that's for sure. Today wasn't so bad though, the temp was still in the 90s but the humidity was down so in the evening it was okay to walk along the river front.

It's kind of the other way around over here on the left coast.  Where I am here in Southern Calif it's a hot, dry desert.  As you go up the coast it gets generally wetter but colder as you go past Portland, Oregon until you get to places like Seattle, Washington where it is cold but always raining.  They don't even see the sun for years at a time.  All of our air comes down the coast from frozen places like Alaska or Canada so it isn't like the east cost that gets the warm tropical moisture coming up from the south.  We don't really have too many places that are both hot and humid at the same time until you're well across the southern border into Mexico.

I really don't mind places that don't have the humidity, the humidity seems to be what gives me the most migraines. It would get fairly hot in Chicago sometime but there would be a breeze from the water and it was way less humid than it is here and it wasn't too awful. Honestly though a place like Seattle with rain and no sun likes the perfect vibe for me 🤣

Hot and wet. The state of Florida is, indeed, Hell's waiting room during summer. Summer, by the way, is 6 months long in Florida! Ugh!!

I saw on TV there was a ton of rain down there and a lot of places were flooding?

Here it's not even noon and already 89 degrees outside. Going to be 95 again today.

It looks like the coolest it's going to get here for the next 10 day forecast is 89s with everything being in the high 90s in the day.

Hot as ever. I think I could cook an egg on the sidewalk.

The weather here has suddenly turned HOT. Last night at 2am it was 23C (73F) so I didn't get much sleep.  It's now 5:30pm and it's 29C (84F) 🥵🥵

We have our AC set to 68F and the thermometer still says it's around 78F in the house until the sun goes down.

I don't even have AC, it's not a common feature in UK homes. Apparently less than 5% of UK homes have it.

It's now 9:30pm and the sun is only just setting and it's still 28C (83F) indoors. 🥵  I don't think I'll get much sleep tonight. ☹️

I think I would die without AC but then again it does get much hotter here than in the UK.

There was a cool storm system that just moved through and from this high up I had great views to watch the rain falling at a distance and see the storm system moving in. When it finally hit us here though there was some bad winds, hail, lightning. Took some pretty cool pics of the rain and storm though.

With our weather central heating is more important than AC. It's bright and sunny today and a little bit cooler, but only by a couple of degrees.

I have found in the Mid-West America both heating and AC are essential for survival 😂 When I arrived in the Winter time at one point it was -33C outside with a strong snow storm. This I was more used to coming from Finland. Now in the Summer approaching time it's the flip of that and 35C daily and without AC you would melt.

Last night it rained however and it cooled it off significantly. The weather today is 77F/25C but the humidity is gone.

It was a little bit cooler today, so I did a bit of gardening in a shaded part of the garden and trimmed a bush that was getting too big. But after half an hour I had to give up and go back indoors as the heat drained my energy.

It's still stupidly hot tonight.

It was kinda nice out since the temp was much better from the rain. I actually went walking in the rain (with an umbrella) to the little store on the corner and didn't feel like I was melting lol ~ There was no humidity and tomorrow is supposed to be no humidity/cooler temps until Friday when it gets hot again.

It's warm today but it doesn't feel as hot. You can take a walk and not get out of breathe and sweaty.

Yeah when there is no humidity it's actually not bad.
