72 and sunny. Not hot, not cold. A perfect day for a walk on the beach to say goodbye to the city.

Yupppp ^ Knowing I was taking one last stroll around the city and the lake kinda sucked but the weather was great for walking the lakeshore.

It's bright and sunny, but there's a cold wind blowing.

Same, except no cold wind here.

It's hot here in the 90's. At least there is a nice breeze on the roof at the pool.

Yuh it's much hotter here than it was in Chicago. It was 93-94F today with a heat index around 100F x.x But there's a lot of wind on the balcony since we are on the 17th floor so it kinda negates the heat.

I miss the 80s weather now lol. The heat wave coming through here has the temperatures between 93-97 all week.

Had to dust ashes from a brushfire off my car this morning.  I guess 3 days of >80F temps and low humidity means it's now fire season?

It's bright and sunny and 16C, so it could be a warm day as it's now only 8:20am.

But this is the UK, so the weather could be totally different at 9:00am. 🙂

Supposed to be 92F today. Already 81F and it's not even noon.

Far too hot to go outside this week here for long. Especially if you don't bring a drink with you.

I know the feeling.  Not that bad here (yet) but hot enough that I took a few minutes this weekend to change the air filter and clean the leaves and critter leavings from the air conditioner, just in case.  Fortunately around here the humidity is usually very low if it gets that warm.  Sometimes even single-digit low.  In that case I'm good to about 95F/35C if I have a fan, a cold drink, and some shade.

I did get a little melted on the way home from work today.  The parking lot at work has no real shade so the car was f.. quite warm after sitting there all day.

They've had a heat advisory warning thing here, telling people to stay indoors. The humidity is what is the worst. Temps will be like 95-96 but the humidity has it in the 100s x.x Thank God for the AC lol ~

We had a couple rain clouds last night I think that helped dropped the overnight temperature to the 70s however today it is back up to 90s.

The humidity here is what is the worst part. The air feels sticky and heavy as if you can't breathe.

I lived in Alabama for about a year when I was a kid so I know that feeling as well.  Sometimes I wondered if having gills might work better than using lungs.  :D

Yeah the further South you get the worse that humidity seems to get on the East Coast. Not sure about the West because I haven't spent much time over there. KY is wayyy more humid than Chicago though that's for sure. Today wasn't so bad though, the temp was still in the 90s but the humidity was down so in the evening it was okay to walk along the river front.

It's kind of the other way around over here on the left coast.  Where I am here in Southern Calif it's a hot, dry desert.  As you go up the coast it gets generally wetter but colder as you go past Portland, Oregon until you get to places like Seattle, Washington where it is cold but always raining.  They don't even see the sun for years at a time.  All of our air comes down the coast from frozen places like Alaska or Canada so it isn't like the east cost that gets the warm tropical moisture coming up from the south.  We don't really have too many places that are both hot and humid at the same time until you're well across the southern border into Mexico.

I really don't mind places that don't have the humidity, the humidity seems to be what gives me the most migraines. It would get fairly hot in Chicago sometime but there would be a breeze from the water and it was way less humid than it is here and it wasn't too awful. Honestly though a place like Seattle with rain and no sun likes the perfect vibe for me 🤣

Hot and wet. The state of Florida is, indeed, Hell's waiting room during summer. Summer, by the way, is 6 months long in Florida! Ugh!!

I saw on TV there was a ton of rain down there and a lot of places were flooding?

Here it's not even noon and already 89 degrees outside. Going to be 95 again today.
