While not as hyped as Overlord IV & Made in Abyss season 2, I’m looking forward to this one as well (would definitely recommend if you enjoyed The Promised Neverland)

What do you guys think about this?
Are these anime that you are anticipating?

A friend sent me this link, he's not an anime virgin, but quite a newbie to anime.
He asked me the good old question "Are any of these good?"

What do you guys hope for in the 2022 anime season? Anything you've been anticipating?

Another great find. DBZ deserves a film for 2022! 😄

@deaaath seems like a pretty standard list for the most part. Though Uzumaki seemed kind of a surprise. Junji Ito has the reputation for being a master of Japanese horror, but personally find his work more weird & disgusting than actually scary. Several of the series listed were sequels so your friend may have some catching up to do if he decides to check them out.

On the personal side there is some overlap with my tastes, but not a whole lot. Part of this may be due to some series may not have been confirmed at the time of the article.  Any way here’s  a couple lists of my own

5 Favorites 1st half of 2022

1. Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3

2. Demon Slayer: Entertainment District

3. Spy x Family

4. My Dress-up Darling

5. Birdie Wing

5 Most Anticipated 2nd half of 2022

1. Golden Kamuy season 4

2. Made in Abyss season 2

3. Chainsaw Man (purely on hype)

4. Mob Psycho 100 season 3

5. Shadows House season 2

of course there’s always room for surprises

I stumbled on this website a few weeks back?

Fate/Grand Carnival Official USA Website (fate-go.us)

Right now it just got some info on the cast and crew, characters and episodes. It doesn't seem to have had an updates since it first went public. I wonder why Fate Grand Carnival got a English Website? It could indicate it might get a similar treatment to other Fate works owned by Aniplex? Or it could be simply just so English native readers can more easily keep up with the production, episodes and such. Interesting none the less.

I read on Anime News Network that Macross Frontier and Macross Delta are going to be released on Blu-Ray in the US as box sets. I saw episode 1 of Frontier a few years ago and wasn't all that impressed but I know nothing about Delta.

Not that the release will make much difference to me here in the UK, the sets are likely to be expensive and it's not as easy to get US releases here as it once was.

I saw the 2nd Macross Frontier movie at the cinema Thursday & thought it was decent, but likewise not really impressed. Not sure how much due to it being a summary film, though my understanding was it actually did make some changes to the ending. I really wish a streaming service would pick these titles up. I don’t mind paying for something i enjoy,  but not really a fan of blind buys especially since I expect the physical releases to be expensive.

Ah, I missed the announcement of the Macross 7 release. I saw the series years and years ago but I was always given to believe that it would never be released due to licencing issues with the songs, if I recall correctly the songs were not sung by the character's voice actors but were sung by a separate group and they owned the rights to the songs. Something like that anyway, it was a long time ago.

Would I buy the Macross 7 release? Well, I guess that would depend on the price. I certainly wouldn't be prepared to pay what I paid for the Animeigo box set of the original Macross series.

I'm gonna have to check that out, so it gonna be on the Right Stuff... which probably means it gonna be hella expensive. However I'm a huge fate fanboy, so I might splurge.

See the source image

Managed to snag myself a pre-order. Without breaking the bank. That site got a lot of Fate merch on it.
