Taalen
So early last year on the day of the Ball, I dislocated my left elbow. Recovery has been slow and painful and the last couple months I have seen no improvement, so I decided to see a doctor. After x-rays, it turns out I have bone fragments around the joint. I'm on the waiting list for a couple months to see a specialist. Anyway! What injuries have you had? Im curious
Optic
I have never broken a bone or had a serious physical injury. The worst I've ever done is something I'm sure every kid has done, tripped over whilst running and grazed themselves on concrete. For me this happened on my leg just below my knee. It left a nice scar there. It does make me wonder what it feels like to have a fractured bone, I was taught how to treat them in First Aid but it would definitely help if you've experienced it before... On that note, your dislocation does sounds very painful. I've heard stories of people asking First Aiders and Paramedics to get their dislocated shoulders fixed on the spot! Needless to say, here it's strongly discouraged and you'll almost always be taken to hospital for that.
Taalen
Fractures do feel quite painful but I'd rather a fracture over a dislocation anyday! Yeah, I waited a good half an hour on the ground for the ambo and then another 40 or so minutes in the hospital D:
Fab
Well, the basic scrapping on the knee which have left a scar. I once had a bad sprain or a dislocation, not very sure. Was speeding on my bicycle, ran into a bench and I flew out of my bicycle and landed on my right hand. Ended up with a severe swell on my right wrist with it unable to bend. My dad brought me to aChinesephysician and got a massage therapy on it. Its called "Tui na" in chinese, not sure what its called in english, The most recent one was a over-stretched knee ligament which saw me out of action in the army for 9days. Not sure what the cause of it was but the doctor told me its a common problem and it was nothing serious.
NightDancer
- I broke my front teeth when I was six years old because of a car crash. - Torn rib (not broken) when I was 20 years old at a concert. That's pretty much it =)
SanguineTear
Been in the hospital a ton, but not from injuries. Only injury I've really had was accidently slicing through most of my left finger (straight through a vein and to the bone). I tend to have things happen like getting a virus that shuts my stomach down though, had that happen a few months ago. Also have a medical condition which put me in the hospital for a long time and keeps me going back. Never had anything broken, fractured or sprained and I hope to keep it that way lol. I've been very lucky but I empathize with you . I will say that your injuries have been much worse than my own. I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through this bad experience. I hope you made a full recovery.
Yuuki_Radosian
I fractured my C2&C3 vertebra but I have never had to stay in a hospital . . . OK I have never stayed in a hospital (even when I had to I just went home ) .I've almost cut 2 of my fingers off , been shot by an air rifle , stabbed quite a few times (the worst one went through my wrist ) but nothing serious came of that and bailed off my skateboard while I was going way to fast ( had roasties on my face , hands , all the way down both my fore arms and my lower legs and my inner thy I don't know how) . Other than that just your average sprains , bruises and cuts.

ThatCynicalSnob
I've never really had a serious injury before. The only injury that really stuck with me is when i was a kid, I fell and cut myself on the forehead. I used to think i was harry potter.

RyePotatoes
I never had a serious injury before too and hoping I wouldn't have either. But I have a scar on my left leg (ugh) because of a bike accident when I was 10 years old. Me and my friends were going down this slippery hill and I lost control of my bike. zoop
Anyone have parents that do a lot of outdoor cooking on a charcoal grill? It's awesome, right? Did your parents ever warn you, when you were a kid, not to play near the grill? Did you listen? Good on you! ... I didn't. As a result I got a bit crisped up on my right arm, bad enough that I had to spend a couple nights at a hospital. I don't actually remember the whole thing - just running around playing with my older brother, followed by ... nothing. I have no recollection of what happened next. I was five years old. Somehow, though, I was blessed enough to not come out of it looking like Hanako from Katawa Shoujo (though, to be fair, I think she's unbelievably adorable), and at this point have absolutely zero visible scarring, outside of a couple very faint marks that are hard to notice, unless your face is entirely too close to my arm or side for my comfort. Beyond that, I also broke my right arm at one point, and was stabbed with a soldering iron - again on my right arm. Notice a trend? Everything that goes wrong with me, happens to my right side. You'd probably think that I'd be a bit nervous around fire and other hot things after having had the chance to get up close and personal with a hot grill, but thankfully that's not the case. I really, really, hate getting burned though, but I think that goes for everyone.
