succubride.x
the two are nice but i think i prefer dub, it's a bit easier for me, and i really don't like to stress my eyes reading as I'm watching. but again I'm not particular on any, i watch both dub and sub
Eris
I watch either just depends on what I'm doing at the time. Most times just dub it's easier to watch and I'm not one of these people that thinks subs are the only way to watch anime, it's whatever. Sub if I want to watch it and it's not in dub tho. DJJAW04
I watched Sub all the time when i watch anime unless i am forced to watch dub like i had for a friend who hated reading on the tv.
blanck
K-chan
I don't have English as my mother language; anime are never dubbed in my language, and I have watched anime with sub since forever. Anime in my mind are always in Japanese, English dubbed - or any language really - just aren't familiar or comfortable for me to watch.
KaiyaSaysHaiya
a few years back, i would've said definitely dub, but i've been watching some more sub as well recently! there are some really beautiful jp va performances i was missing out on. dub is still my preference and go-to, though. i find it's just easier for me, especially considering i zone out a lot while watching TV it's easier to figure out what's happening that way lol
aveenyjohn
Subs all the way! Started with dubs as a kid (Dragon Ball Z days, anyone?), but once I switched to subs, couldn't go back. Tried watching AoT dubbed and nearly threw my laptop out the window lol. Something about English VAs trying to match those intense Japanese screams just doesn't hit right. Plus you miss all those untranslatable "NANI?!" moments that make anime... well, anime. Only exception is Cowboy Bebop - that dub is chef's kiss. nyaa
Usually dubbed only cause' I don't like to read anime, reading is what you do to books. But due to where I get most of the new anime I watch it's mostly subbed only.

I used to watch anime in sub many years ago, but nowadays i like dub more and i personally think the english voice actors do a great job. I still accept people who prefer sub though, but unfortunately there are still many toxic sub watchers in the anime community who can't accept dub watchers and bully them because of it. Liking sub is fine, but what i hate is when sub watchers think their opinion is a fact which is not because everyone has different tastes and you can't speak for all people. I as a example, think that japanese voice actors aren't really that great in voicing the characters just because it's the original language. But that's just my personal opinion, and at least i still accept people with a different opinion about this topic and don't try to state my opinion as a fact like many sub watchers sadly do. I also have to be honest, and say that i don't really like the japanese language anymore because in my opinion it's a boring sounding language but that's just how i think about it. I do agree on that, so many sub only watchers are arrogant and look down on dub watchers as less than human. It doesn't matter what language a voice actor speaks, if they're bad then they're bad.

So the best you can do is to ignore them like i do nowadays. A few years ago, i always got immediately pissed off about those arrogant and annoying sub elitist comments, but since last year i try to ignore comments like these. Because nowadays i don't want to get my fun of watching anime in dub spoiled anymore by toxic sub watchers, who think they are so cool and edgy with their pointless and childish hate comments towards dub/dub watchers.

Sadly there are elitists to be found in every hobby or interest and I just want to enjoy my hobbies and interests my way and I don't want other people telling how to do it. By the same token it's not my place to tell others how to enjoy their interests. Live and let live and we'll all enjoy what we do.

nyaa
I've been insulted before when I say I vastly prefer dubbed anime to subbed and I usually just tell them to shove it and go on my merry way, cum se cum sa is what I say. Moestub
Nothing wrong with dub or subs, but i prefer subs, english isn't my native tongue so i don't get more enjoyment out of it than japanese, and the seiyuus do an amazing jobs. Some people are so preoccupied with being elitist that it gets concerning, lol. Kinda ironic because the experience of watching an anime is a bit subjective/personal to begin with.. efaardvark
I can generally understand spoken Japanese and the clutter of subs can sometimes get in the way so for me I usually just go with the original audio. I read fast too though so for those rare times when the dialog is complicated or whatever then I'll usually turn on the subs rather than switch to dub. fluffybug
personally i tend to prefer subs, but there are some series like paswg where the dub is just better lol granted i dont watch dubs very often unless recommended by a friend so i can't comment on the quality of a lot of newer ones o:
