Saturday.lover
I haven't cried from so many months does you have any anime which will make me cry?
Ohayotaku
It depends on your sensitivities, but the Fruits Basket remake made me tear up on a regular basis through out it’s 3 year run. Also I remember Figure 17 making me cry at times, especially towards the end. Edited December 16, 2025 by Ohayotaku
Animedragon
Anime to make you cry.. Clannad/ Clannad After Story, especially the second half of After Story. Your Lie In April. I Want To Eat Your Pancreas. If you really think about the ending of this one it'll break you heart. Hero_flash72
Watched Reze Arc last night. It's shounen at the end of the day, but I still cried like a little boy. It's a movie, and you don't have to watch the first season of Chainsaw Man to enjoy it IMO.

Setsuna M
While it is a slice of life comedy, Toradora regardless made me cry. It had great moments of the main characters being emotionally vulnerable. I also recommend The Wind Rises, I remember an anime I saw a music video for decades ago, called Now and Then, Here and There, and it was war focused and was set to the song Mad World (you can find it on youtube). It seemsl ike it would be a pretty sad series, too.

Sakura
Some of my top fave sad animes are Wolf's Rain, Clannad and Clannad After Story, Angel Beats, To Your Eternity, I Want to Eat Your Pancreas, A Silent Voice, Your Name, Plastic Memories, and 5 Centimenters Per Second. Some of these are short, movies, and some just have really sad scenes and aren't totally sad the entire anime, but they'll definitely give you all the feels ~
MikeCme
A Silent Voice and possibly Garden of Words come to mind. I could also add Basilisk, because of the ending. No spoilers intended, but the only reason the ending doesn’t make me more sad is because it’s somewhat predictable for a Japanese drama.
