  2. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury to wait or study. I'm interested in seamanship because it covers the cost of the living. You get a room to sleep on in the ship, electricity, water and food are covered. For a man who is forced to emigrate his country with no money, it's the only viable option. Any job that covers the cost of living is ideal for me. I know couple of languages, I have a degree in electro engineering, I'm good at Photoshop and I can edit videos. Video editing is limited because my laptop is not made for it.
  3. Hi. Sorry for the late reply. The thread was empty for so long, that I gave up and stopped checking it. My situation is not easy to say the least, I'm from Ukraine and I'm planning to escape soon. It's a huge risk, especially now when the EU countries are starting to deny protection to Ukrainian men from 18 to 60. Specifically to Ukrainian men because they need us for their war. Escaping Ukraine is already an insanely difficult task. I'd lie if I said I wasn't worried. Just recently a guy tried to escape Ukraine by flying over a border with paraglider, but he was shoot by the border gourds. I have almost no money. I have some pocket change at best. Buying equipment for the escape ate away almost all my finances. For now I'm planning to go to cheap countries, especially outside the EU. One viable option is Moldova, at least for the time being. Unfortunately I don't have any remote job or some income to cover the costs. Hopefully I'll find a job quick enough before I run out of money. If there's anyone from Moldova, I'd like to get some advice.
  4. Dave The Diver Upgraded my water tank and suit so I could explore longer and go deeper. Hunted down the shark to impress the recruiter and helped the gray dolphin save their mate twice. I also completed two other quests (one for the guy studying merfolk & the other for helping to save the earth). Two Point Museum I don’t remember if I posted that I restarted the game because if I stop for any long period of time on games like this, I forget what I’m doing completely. Kind of glad I restarted though because I did not like my last layout in my first save file.

  6. Soon it will be hot again, and the temperature will be going up.
  7. I've never tried truly authentic ramen.
  8. Last week
  9. Greetings and welcome! Sorry for the wait
  10. You hang around bars until someone knocks you out and forces you to sign a contract.
  11. To be fair, one or two out of every couple who have kids seem to either disappear or become incredibly busy, leaving them in the care of a grandfather who generally gives them limitless funds and access to dark magical artifacts. Grandpa Moto for example seemed to have been a poor father, not even noticing when Yugi's mom vanished, but was a great grandpa. https://www.amazon.com/How-Anime-Character-Clayton-Overstreet/dp/1441451803
  12. I cannot wait to be emotionally built up and then destroyed all over again
  13. New series later this year apparently the same “universe”, but a standalone story with different characters
  14. Watching series that are too similar to each other especially during the same season makes it too easy to confuse which events took place in which series. Besides I need some CGDCT & moe content to balance out my mood after sone of the darker, bleaker, more violent series. Increasingly though a series needs to make some sort of positive (not ambivalent) impression on me in the first couple eps or I set it aside for future consideration if I can’t find anything else to watch.
  15. Finished Dorohedoro season 2, what a gut punch of an ending Glad they already announced season 3, hope we don’t have to wait for more than a year. Gonna try to finish up Agents of the Four Seasons & Akane Banashi today, start Re:ZERO’s latest season tomorrow.
  16. Mostly spent the first half of today reading the last couple hundred pages of a novel I've been reading through on-and-off for the last couple of weeks (Sons of Darkness by Gourav Mohanty, if you're curious). Quite enjoyable, though I've no idea when I'll find time for the sequel.
  17. Right, looks like I'll need to pencil in a theater visit sometime in 2027...
  18. I'd probably pick Armored Trooper VOTOMS. Easily one of the grittiest mecha shows ever made and also one of the best. Excellent plot and compelling central mystery and well-written characters, in a setting that's "grimy futuristic", if you will. Yeah, the tech is obviously absurdly advanced, but every frame brings across that the Atragius galaxy is a fairly awful place to live, being in the aftermath of a galaxy ravaged by a century-long war that's left deep scars. I also find VOTOMS' presentation of its mecha (called "Armored Troopers" or ATs) quite interesting and fairly unique. You know how in many/most mecha shows, the mecha (or at least the one the protagonist pilots) is some terrifying engine of death, a mighty god-machine that strides/flies through the battlefield, unchallenged by anything except a fellow near-peerless machine? Yeah, that's averted completely in this show. The ATs are mass-produced weapons of war built on the cheap and there is never any pretense otherwise. The protagonist changes machines quite a few times as they get damaged, disabled and/or blown up.
  19. Just started up the second volume of Witch Hat Atelier, which yes, was motivated by the anime's first season conclusion (on a massive cliffhanger, no less!). Coco is somehow even more endearing on-page than she is on-screen.
  20. I particularly appreciate the English dub's inclusion of in-universe slang into the dialogue - adds a nice extra level of authenticity and really makes it feel like Night City.
  21. Just finished up Fractale, which I thought was all right. I enjoyed it well enough, but the chance I'll ever watch it again is extremely low. Picked up Last Exile to replace it, and I'm having a great time. Hopefully this continues throughout the entire show.

    One Piece

The Straw Hats' dynamic is honestly what makes One Piece timeless. Each member represents a different kind of freedom — Luffy's is raw and instinctive, while Robin's is deeply emotional and historical. That contrast is what keeps the story meaningful even after hundreds of episodes. What arc do you think defines the crew's bond the most?
  23. It has its moments. Basically a SoL romcom but most of the characters are genius-level misfits and it has some serious bits as well. I thought it was worth the watch. I heard it is very hot over there!
