  1. As you may expect, I am new here. Recently been getting into forums and found this wonderful site. A bit about me: I enjoy many different kinds of anime, but my go to is probably rom-coms and slice of life just because they make me laugh. I have been into anime since I was really young. I play guitar, and record music and do sound design for fun. I want to start cosplaying soon. So wish me luck~! Not sure what else to say besides I am excited to be here! Please say hi~! :3

  10. Agree 100% with everything you said. Kyo is my guy until the very end but I absolutely hope that Yuki gets his moment as well.

  11. I have the feeling that we won’t get a really clear picture of things until we’re given a more detailed explanation of the zodiac curse & it’s connection to the legend. One thing we learned this week is that Soma members who don’t correspond to a zodiac animal at least have a chance at a normal childhood, while the cursed children all suffer some degree of neglect from their parents & seem to be regarded as Akito’s “pets”. Her approach seems to be convincing them that they are useless/worthless so they should love her unconditionally for any attention she shows them even if it’s abusive, because it’s all they can hope for. She seems to have particularly targeted Yuki. His helping Tohru as a child appears to be the defining moment in realizing he can have value apart from Akito. I also think Akito’s particular dislike of Momiji is because he continues to act cheerful inspite of his family situation Shigure is very difficult to read. He seems to relish the role of a scoundrel/troublemaker. I don’t think he’s actually malicious but seems to accept people getting hurt as a necessity. Seems like he thinks Tohru can maybe “break the curse” as an outsider who can touch & change the hearts of others. As much as I dread seeing what Akito will wind up doing, I think the real heartache will be a result of the changing relationship between Tohru, Yuki & Kyo. For the record, as much as I have come to sympathize for Yuki the past couple weeks, I’m still rooting for Kyo.

  12. Im a little confused about shigure in this episode . This episode was also really sad , But i thought the ending was beautiful . And also , @RuthisianCodex You were right about how they were like walking to a funeral instead going to visit and see someone

  14. *SIGHS* Something about this episode just made me sick to my stomach. Like when they were walking to go see Akito it was like they were walking to a damn funeral or being led into a den of monsters to be eaten alive. Such a sense of deep dread & despair hung over the entire interaction. Akito seems keen to isolate certain victims that she finds the most vulnerable & it is just so damn unnerving & infuriating at the same time! And I think I got a better sense of what Shigure's angle is in all this but I still don't agree. He's trying to force certain members of the clan to fight back against Akito & while I get that, I simply do not agree with how he's going about it at all.

  15. That is crazy.... This is my first time hearing of such a thing. If you don't mind me asking, how is day to day life? How is it different to that of a normal person. And back to visual novels, yeah I really want to like them. I think they're something special and as you said they are their own unique medium. I do find it weird how JRPG also means visual novel. In Japan I think. Where we see JRPG as games like Final Fantasy. I guess you do play a role in a visual novel. So role-play. But every game lets you play a role. Hmmm.....

  16. @Koshigaya23 I also started buying anime tapes in the 90s. I was in my early 20s at the time & had my first regular job. Early series I remember include Ranma 1/2, Slayers, Project Ako, Tenchi Universe & Irresponsible Captain Tylor. Went to Suncoast weekly. As you said, proved to be a very expensive hobby. I think my first DVD purchase was either Outlaw Star or Sabre Marionette J.

  17. After watching episode 7. As if we needed more reason to dislike Akito. Dang, she’s twisted.

  22. I've played some of the old DS, Gameboy as well as played Dragonball Xenoverse 1 & 2 (also anime games that included some DBZ aspects such as Jump Force). Xenoverse was cool for it's time on PS3 but it became meh for me. A lot of anime games have those "Lobbies" and doing random a** missions via stage fighting and I absolutely hate it. I was very disappointed in Jump Force for this reason as well (I thought it would be more roaming around like Destiny 2). So I avoid those now. I think that's one of the reasons why I like Kakarot so much. A single player game that's RPG but isn't exactly open world but can still fly around, collect items, do side missions as well as main missions and fight random enemies. I guess it kind of reminds me of the Naruto Ninja Ultimate Storm games only you can do a little more roaming around than in Naruto. Also Kakarot isn't really stage based fighting either (Naruto is).
