  1. That was very interesting, thanks for sharing your tea collection. For myself I'm very unimaginative and just drink ordinary decaf tea with milk but no sugar. My late mother was a fan of different types of tea and if I attended a training course anywhere and they had other sorts of tea in the kitchen areas I had to bring one sachet of each variety home for her to try.
  2. An alarm clock that doesn't work so you have something to blame when don't wake up until half of the morning has gone.
  3. This morning I went out to do my weekly shopping then went to the cemetery to place some flowers on my parent's grave as it was mum's birthday the other day.
  4. Be careful with that microwave warmie. Don't heat it for too long as they can catch fire if you microwave them too long.
  5. Exams are bad, I never liked exams and I always did badly at them no matter how hard I studied. For my final year's exams I did reasonably well, but not well enough to make going to college an viable option. I didn't like school anyway and the prospect of spending a few more years going to classes and sitting more exams just didn't appeal to me, so I left school and got a job. I think it would have been a different story if I'd had an idea of what I wanted to do, but I didn't. As it turned out I really liked the job I got and did it for the rest of my working life. Maths was totally my worst subject and I still don't really understand it Anyway, I wish you all the best with your remaining exams and hope you get some good marks. When they're all over you can have a good rest and have some fun.
  6. I'm feeling OK, for a Monday morning. Why is it that Mondays always feel like bad days even when you're retired and don't have work or school to go to?
  7. It's decently bright outside, it's not raining and it's 12C. It's just not Christmas weather at all.
  8. Getting old and shorting out is the main concern. After all they're basically a blanket with lots of wire filaments embedded in them which the electric current heats up, and being sat on and flexed every night is eventually going to break some of those filaments which can cause arcing which in turn could set fire to the blanket.
  9. At one of the places I worked we had a sign on the wall which said: "Get it Right and no one remembers, Get it Wrong and no one forgets." Sadly this is so true. .
  10. I've actually been quite good and somehow managed not to burn anything recently.
