Which anime character do you relate to the most and why
Animedragon replied to weebcity's topic in Anime Discussion
That's odd, I'm sure I posted this earlier today but it seems to have disappeared into an alternative world. So I'll try again. The character I most relate to is Rin Shima from Yuru Camp. Like me she's an introvert who is happiest doing her own thing in her own time on her own. But, also like me, she's not anti-social and she will join in with other people and go out with them if she's asked and given the opportunity to decline and is not forced to join in. She is softly spoken and is willing to share her knowledge and interests with people if they're interested, but she won't force herself on people although she does care for her friends, often quietly and sometimes secretly. -

I've now finished watching both seasons of Yuru Camp, the Yuru Camp movie and the Room Camp shorts along with the bonus episode featuring Rin and a three wheeled bike. This is such an excellent series and I hope the rumours of a third season being in production are true. At times I wondered if the series was more about outdoor cooking than camping because the girls certainly like their food (especially Nadeshiko) and seemed to spend almost as much time planning their menu as they did planning their camping trip. But their main aim was to have as much fun spending time together as friends and doing what they loved doing. Even Rin joined in on occasion, which proves that introverts aren't anti-social loners, they're willing to join in with a group but are just as happy with their own company and doing their own thing. The one thing they really don't like is other people forcing them to join in.

I'm currently rewatching the absolute gem of a series known as Yuru Camp. Everything about this series is so good, the artwork, animation, background music and storyline are excellent. Then there's the wonderful cast, the quiet, softly spoken introverted solo camper Rin Shima and the energetic extroverted Nadeshiko Kagamihara make a perfect team. This series is just so enjoyable and such great fun to watch.

Favorite Anime Character (Deep And Interesting Topic)
Animedragon replied to weebcity's topic in Anime Discussion
I've got two favourite female characters, and I find it hard to choose between them. Nagisa Furukawa, from Clannad & Clannad: After Story. A frail, sensitive and shy girl who cares deeply about her friends. Despite her introverted nature she is a friendly, and at times energetic, girl who is determined to achieve what she sets out to do. Rin Shima, from Yuru Camp. An introvert and loner by choice who values time spent by herself, but who is willing to join in with others and share what she enjoys doing. Favourite male character, Tomoya Okazaki from Clannad & Clannad: After Story. Outwardly a cynical sarcastic delinquent but this hides a sociable and caring personality and he is always willing to help his friends. -
A few more recommendations for you. Gunslinger Girl. The basic premise of this series is certainly morally questionable. Souko no Strain. A stylish Sci-fi series where one of the characters questions the morality of a decision made years in the past. Madoka Magica. A very stylish Magical Girl series, which is totally unlike any other Magical Girl series and a lot darker as the girls find they have paid a high price to gain their powers.

Looking through that line up: Definitely interested in The Girl I Like Forgot her Glasses. Quite interested in Blue Orchestra. Curious about Horimiya-piece-. Might possibly be interested in The Dreaming Boy is a Realist.

I'm not too impressed with that line up so far. The Girl I Like Forgot Her Glasses is the only one that interests me at present.

I definitely do not want a Tiktok account. Twitter, Facebook and YouTube steal WAY TO MUCH of my time and the last thing I want is another social media platform. I'm already cutting back on my Twitter usage because Twitter has become rather boring lately. I'm trying to cut back on my YouTube usage, the problem there is that I'm interested in a lot of things and YouTube has a lot of videos about the things I'm interested in.
