  1. Welcome to the forum! Have fun! Ouran, and FMA are a couple of my favorites too! Since you didn't mention it, I would suggest My Hero Academia - and I'm not generally a superhero person, but the story and world in it is really interesting to me. I also like to try and tell people about Yakitate!! Japan, as it's one of my favorites and very underrated. It's about making bread, but its much better than it sounds, and REALLY funny! Cowboy Bebop is a good classic, and Space Dandy is similar in ways - when it came out I thought it was a direct parody of bebop, but it's not. But it's really funny, and has a lot of similarities. (Both going through space, both bounty hunters.) I could give you more recommendations but I don't want to give you too many!

  4. So, as I said above I'm playing bug fables, but as I've also said I've also been playing through the Ratchet and Clank series again. I found something out, and I thought I should post about it JUST in case someone didn't know/needed to know. My PS3 controller died recently, and I found out the hard way that generic PS3 controllers don't generally have SIAXIS capability. The first Ratchet game on the PS3 really went to town on the SIAXIS gimmick, and it's unplayable without it. ....Or so I thought.... Apparently, there's an option in the menu to disable motion controls, and just use the R and/or L stick. (You just can't use one weapon, the tornado launcher, that also used it) And... not only am I happy now, I'm also really mad at myself I didn't notice this years ago... it makes those sections MUCH easier...
  5. .....My favorite anime is Digimon Tamers. I watched the dub first as it premiered on Fox Kids from 2001-2002... Last fall I started watching Tamers again. .... Exactly twenty years to the day... each episode when it premiered, 20 years ago...
  6. Thanks, this makes me feel better about dropping it!
  7. I started playing Bug Fables.... I am mad at myself. I really need to stop judging something by the name or what it looks like. I'd seen Bug Fables advertised for years, and I always am like, "I'm not interested in a game about bugs" It's an amazing "Paper Mario" type game. I love it so far.
  8. It probibly depends on age and perspective. When I was a kid, Windows hadn't been invented yet, we used DOS. and we had atari games that read off cassette tapes. There are several points in my life that I thought we were in the future, and those things now being obsolete - DVDs being a big one. (Though they aren't completely obsolete, but yeah.) MP3 players (I'd still rather have an actual MP3 player than just use my phone) I think another good example is, me and my ex from Germany. Not only could we call each other every day (The second half of our relationship, once I got a smart phone) and do video calls, but the fact that we could play games online together. That was always great technology to me. We take it for granted now, but when I was a kid that would have been a crazy idea. In 1996, Jim Carrey did The Cable Guy which most people hated (But I liked) but at one point (Or twice actually) He gave a speech that is creepy how accurate it became.
  9. I started watching Ranking of Kings, and I was really loving it, such an interesting story... but then it started to get violent/bloody, which I don't like. I kept just trying to look away, thinking it wouldn't stay that way, but after a few eps it seems like it. I'm sad to drop it but....
  10. I'm at a hard place atm with my life. It's been two months since my breakup after 13 years, which I was blindsided. Lots of people tell me I should be over it by now, but it's hard. It's extra hard because, I have a rare medical condition and I... look a little different because of it. I'm not slow, but if you saw me and didn't know, you might think I was. So it's not JUST losing this amazing love I had for 13 years, and being blindsided but it's also feeling like... I was so lucky to have one person look past how I looked to love me for me, how am I going to find someone else? I got on anti-depression medicine, but its still working its way in my system, and atm actually feel a little worse. On top of that, when they broke up with me I was recovering from foot surgery, and still couldn't walk for another month. - Foot issues related to my rare condition, and not my first or last surgery - but it's actually hurting worse so far, than before I got the surgery, so I'm miserable emotionally AND physically. ........But having said all that, things can always be worse. I have a loving family, and a few close online friends that I don't know what I'd do without. I'm not rich by any means, but I have enough to get new games and things every so often, and pay for crunchyroll and hulu, ect. So yeah, I currently wouldn't go straight to saying I'm happy, but it really could be worse.
  11. I'm watching Ranking of Kings. It's... very interesting. I don't know what I expected going into it, but when I started the first episode, I very quickly almost turned it off. but I'm glad I didn't. There are a few parts that have been a little more gory than expected, but I just look away. The rest of the show has been really interesting.
  12. I accidentally got some ketchup in my eye. . . Now I have Heinzsight.
  13. Okay I'm gonna show you all a piece of YouTube history! In 2006 or 2007, a guy made this and it was HUGE. At the time, YouTube had a most popular video list and it was #1 for a while. (At least a few weeks). As time went on, the guy got embarrassed about it and took it down, but someone else re-uploaded it, and I just think it's really sad that this piece of YouTube history is now forgotten. So enjoy this classic: "Addicted To YouTube" (P.S., OLD SCHOOL YOUTUBE!!)
  14. Only Murders In The Building I wasn't sure about this, and I held off for a long time. I don't like graphic violence which I was worried it would be, but for the most part it wasn't. Also I LOVE Steve Martian and Martian Short, so I knew it had to be at least a little funny, and I do love mysteries, so I finally gave it a chance. Since season two just started coming out, I was planning on just watching season one, and then holding off on season two, but season one ended on a cliffhanger, so now I'm debating. Also The Orville Unlike OMITB, I have waited way too long for The Orville so I'm watching that one as it comes out. The first ep was really good but turned into more of a drama - which isn't necisarily bad, but part of the fun of The Orville was the humor. But the newer episodes seem to be a tad more funny at parts, so I'm happy for that.
  15. I'm still playing through the Ratchet and Clank games again, buuut, since I got money today, I took advantage of Steam's summer sale, and bought a few games - Will probibly be a while until I get to them, but I thought I should get them while they are on sale. Bug Fables which I just found out is like a 'love letter to Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door' and I am HERE for that! Also Psychonauts which I just found out about. It looks interesting, and the first one is only $3 on sale. I debated about getting the second one since its on sale for $30 and it's regularly 60, but since money is a bit tight I decided against it, until I know for sure I like the first, and surely it will be on sale again someday. :).
  16. Frustrated with myself. I had been feeling much better after the breakup, but last night I sank back down again into a little depression. I know it's hard getting over a breakup after 13 years together, but I was doing better! And it's been two months now. I realize now that I really couldn't have been what they needed, and I do want him to be happy. So why can't I focus on that and move on? Ugh. (Still, the low I feel right now would have been a good day a month ago.)
  17. I just thought this might be a fun topic. Do you know any interesting/fun game trivia? Wither it be something behind the scenes, or an in game secret some might not know about. (Yesterday I found a secret area in a game I've played a million times. Feel equal parts excited to find something new, and lame for not finding it before...) My random Trivia to start things off is: The Ratchet and Clank series, in the early days were known for suggestive game subtitles, IE "Going Commando", "Up Your Aresonal" and "Size Matters" In 2009, "A Crack In Time" came out, one of the best games of the series. (Still haven't played the new one, playing through the old ones first.) But apparently insomniac had a different title in mind, but Sony said NO WAY. Since a giant clock was involved in the game, they wanted to call it: Clock Blockers. Sony said absolutely not, and now we have A Crack In Time.
  18. Started replying Ratchet And Clank: Up Your Aresonal.
  19. I've only watched half of the first ep so far (Like I said, distracted easily.) But I can already tell its going to be different. We'll see how it goes, I really don't care much about baseball and you say its more focused on the mechanics of the game, but also humor and slice of life which are also things I love. So it could go either way. :).
  20. Welcome to the forum! Pretty much just be kind and otherwise I'm not sure you can go wrong.
  21. Yesterday I finished Stars-Align. It was really good with some really deep themes... This morning I started Gurazeni: Money Pitch. (As I'm not a sports person but somehow love sports anime.) It's too early to comment on it yet though because I get distracted easily so I tend to only watch subbed shows while I'm eating, so I watch them slowly. Probably sometime today I'll start a new dub too, but dunno what yet.
  22. I didn't know it until many years later but, when I was a kid in the very early 90s, Nick Jr. actually played several children's anime shows, and I remember that I liked them, so TECHNICALLY I was into anime very young. XD. But it wasn't until 1999 that I got into Pokemon in a round about way, which led me to my cousin 'forcing me' to watch Digimon, which led me down a rabbit hole, and now I'm an anime fan. :).
  23. Well that's interesting... I started to reply to this the other day, and after typing MOST OF IT, like all but the last question, I accidentally closed the page -_-. But I tried to come back and nothing happened. Now a day or two later, I go to try again and my old reply pops up? Weird. Oh well, at least I don't have to type all that again... *Answeres last question* How often do you go to the Cinema? When I was younger I went a lot more. I have Aspurgers and I kind of obsess over movies. But, in the last decade or so I haven't been as interested in watching newer movies - not that there aren't good ones here and there that I go see, but in general. Now the last time I went to see a movie in theaters was for My Hero Academia: World Heroes Mission last fall, and before that... ... ... ... Actually, I think before that was the second My Hero Academia movie in early 2020. (I think I only went once in 2019, for the Beatles movie, 'Yesterday'.) Typical pricing to see a movie? I usually go out of town, and I think now its around $8. (At least it was last fall.) Do you usually buy food and drink from the Candy Bar? Sometimes. It depends. I'm not poor-poor but, don't have a ton of money and it's pretty expensive. Just depends on where it is in the month and stuff. Ever experienced a disruption? (e.g. fire alarm, technical fault) My mom ran a movie theater for just 2 months short of 3 years when I was a kid, and so I just watched movies constantly. In that, I've seen many things: In early 1996 we got The Birdcage, and- on the film, the sound was on the side of the film, and apparently this was a different kind of 'soundtrack' that the projector couldn't handle. So the first time they tried to play it, there was a loud buzzing, and we had to stop it. (People were pissed... the film was already really late getting delivered and the 4 and 7 shows had already been cancelled... people were really pissed.) Luckily we found out that another projector could play it, so we moved theaters and were able to play it the next day. I've seen things happen like the film stop moving and it burned through the film, and lots of other crazy things. In 1998 we got The Wedding Singer, and... the film would be delivered in reels, like 20 mins of film, and we would have to splice them together. (If you remember back in the day the dots in the corner, that's why.) And my mom didn't put one in the middle together right and it was way too big of a hassle to take half the movie back apart, so I HAD to watch the movie every showing. (Which I was heartbroken about... not XD.) to let them know when the change was coming, because if I didn't, the bottom was on the top and the top was on the bottom (half and half) but they had a knob that could adjust it. Your most favorite movie at the Cinema? That's hard, with my mom working at the movie theater those years there are lots of fun movies and fun memories, and many I probibly wouldn't have watched without my mom working there. ... But I think I'm going to go with Austin Powers: International Man Of Mystery, because I loved that movie and was obsessed with it, and one night me and my mom watched it again by ourselves after the theater closed!
  24. There are lots of different reasons. I enjoy it for one, that's a big reason. :). I like a lot of Comedy animes. I watch animes to laugh, mainly. But I like some more serious ones from time to time. And sometimes I learn things. For some reason I hate sports IRL but love sports anime, so I know way more about sports than I would otherwise. One of my favorite anime, Yakitate!! Japan, taught me a lot about bread, and I'm sure there are other things too. But yeah, I also have Aspergers, and I obsess over things and the past, so while I've been trying harder lately to force myself to watch more new anime, I am generally more likely to go re-watch something I've seen a million times, for comfort.
