  1. FLCL, Urusei Yatsura, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, maybe the Monogatari series; all shows I would feel mostly safe in but would never get bored with.
  2. Please don't. Can't you see I'm trying to read here?
  3. Fate/Grand Order (JP and NA), Fire Emblem Heroes and Granblue Fantasy. I mostly only log in for daily bonuses except for Granblue. I kind of jump around between which one I'll actually play every few weeks.
  4. My search results yielded memes and hentai. Props to anyone who can identify this. I think it's possible it's just part of an illustration without any connections to anime other than the art style.
  5. Definitely L. He's got the best line in the entire show: "I'll give you this strawberry if you keep it a secret, okay?"
  6. I've only seen a few episodes, but your description kind of reminds me of Linebarrels of Iron. https://myanimelist.net/anime/3653/Kurogane_no_Linebarrels
  7. I haven't seen Neo Yokio, but from just looking at the banner I thought it was some anime parody series.
  8. Hi there! I don't know if any people here play QuizUp, but if you do, and you're interested in writing questions for a new anime category I'm making, let me know. I know there's already a ton of anime categories on there, but I want to include and continue to add as many anime as possible in this one to make it different. I could use any help, even just one question would be greatly appreciated as I haven't been able to do much on my own so far.
  9. I can only speak for Devilman: Crybaby, which met my expectations. I'm not really sure which other series Netflix actually has a hand in producing though. It's confusing how they use the phrase "Netflix Original" with shows they just have distributive rights to.
  10. I haven't really seen much racism for myself. This just seemed ridiculous to me, and when I saw it for myself it seemed like a joke. He was so lighthearted about it is what really bothers me.
  11. Yesterday I met a man who, while giving me some pennies, started to make some derogatory remarks about the character on the pennies. Now, his camo overalls and other aspects of his appearance led me to assume he was one of many rednecks who live in my area, the majority of which I think are decent people. But after the remark about the pennies I knew this guy was on a whole different level. I told him, "That's Abe Lincoln, you know." Then he says something like, "Oh, I don't pay any attention to that stuff. It's all stupid!" And goes on to show me a tattoo with 'A' for anarchy. He went on to say justice was for wimps, and after that I stopped paying attention. I'm nothing close to a history buff, but I thought knowing the political figures on American currency was basic knowledge for American citizens. I guess I was the stupid one for setting my expectations so high.
  12. 1. Soulcalibur II 2. Crunchyroll had one last year, right? Never been to any 3. Izaya Orihara 4. Guts 5. Misty 6. I usually pick one or the other without trying both, so the safe answer- Cowboy Bebop 7. First one that comes to mind- pork 8. Puss in Boots by Toei on VHS
  13. I don't read much manga since I prefer to have it in physical form, but the first one I did read was Elfen Lied after watching the show. I remember I sped through it really quick which seems to be a problem I have while reading online.
  14. Devilman Crybaby. Currently on Netflix but it's not up yet...
  15. It does sound interesting. I've only seen a little of World Masterpiece Theater but I loved what I have seen.
  16. Hi there, and welcome! I'm pretty new here and also shy myself, but I hope I can be more active than I have been on other forums. Do you mind me asking where your avatar comes from? I feel like I've seen it before.
  17. 5 Centimeters Per Second, that's my kind of romance.
  18. Yeah, no one in my family really has any interest in it but me. And I was one of those kids who wasn't allowed to watch Pokémon because it was satanic.
  19. That's kinda funny to me, 18 is when I started watching stuff other than Digimon/Pokémon. But good luck with college. I spent too many nights playing ping-pong or going through my recommended videos on youtube and ended up doing the bare minimum, which wasn't good enough. It was definitely a rude awakening from high school.
  20. The only thing that comes close to horror that I can strongly recommend is Perfect Blue, and especially if you enjoy psychological thrillers.
