  1. One I that I just finished and strongly recommend trying out is Hanada Shounen-shi. It's about a boy who has a near-death experience that enables him to talk to ghosts, who then bother him into helping with their unfinished business. [mal type=anime id=2004]
  2. If I'd ever joined a Japanese club, I'd definitely have wanted to start learning the language, at least becoming comfortable with reading and writing kana. Kanji seems to be a brick wall generally, and I'm guessing you don't want the club too focused on any one aspect. In my community college class we didn't have much focus on culture, but we would watch some of the Begin Japanology series which seems like a good introduction to the culture.
  3. I'm kind of embarrassed that I'm 22 and still live with my mom. I do pay rent and share some of the chores, but I have coworkers my age that have been on their own since their teens and I feel somewhat envious over how mature they seem. Admittedly my life would be a lot more empty if I did move out right now.
  4. If I was going to get one it'd be the brand of sacrifice, right on my neck. Not sure if you can get it in the exact spot where Guts' is though.
  5. To have a second self, another person within my body, so I can talk to someone and still be a hermit.
  6. The first two names I thought of were Agnes and Walpurgis. Agnes means "pure" or "holy", and Walpurgis is a cooler sounding variant of Walburga, which means "ruler of the fortress".
  7. I'm also up for talking and also don't have anyone to talk to IRL. Though I'm not following any currently airing shows right now.
  8. I've almost always downloaded, although since I've gotten a full-time job I've bought a few more DVDs and Blu-rays since I can afford to. I definitely prefer downloads or a physical copy to subscription services though, even if it's more expensive.

    Manga vs Anime

I don't generally prefer one over the other, but if I had to I'd choose manga because I feel that I'm getting more for my money. I'd rather get several volumes of manga than spend the same amount on a set of Blu-rays or DVDs.
  10. I was playing Granblue Fantasy and F/GO a lot last year. GBF I've stopped playing except for getting daily log-in bonuses and events that catch my eye like the Cardcaptor Sakura one. I feel F/GO isn't as time consuming to progress in, so I may pick it back up. Today I wasted a ton of quartz trying to get Okita Alter.
  11. I was thinking Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind until you mentioned the side-scrolling.
  12. This is all I've got: [mal type=anime id=1453] [mal type=anime id=1087] [mal type=anime id=334] I haven't seen anything you used as examples, but I thought these all had satisfactory endings. Kimagure Orange Road actually leaves you hanging I think, but it has a couple movies that finish it if the series looks good to you.
  13. Your list isn't viewable, at least not until MAL finishes their maintenance.
  14. Based on what you've listed I think you might wanna check out Kara no Kyoukai.
  15. The last time I had alcohol was a sip of beer from my dad when I was 13. After hearing all the talk in health class about how bad it is I just never got the appeal, even though it is fine in moderation.
  16. I thought that one was a hoot. I was a big arcade crawler back in the days of pinball and Space Invaders and I played ALL those games at one point or another. My VR/holodeck house will have an old-school arcade stocked with the likes of Space Wars, Space Invader, Asteroids, Galaxian, Star Wars, Gauntlet, and all the rest. I've been to Dave and Buster's and Chuck E. Cheese's, but I don't know if those are actually arcades, and I don't remember seeing games like Space Invaders or Pac-Man as much as skee-ball and a ton of games I just cannot recall. I did have an Atari 2600 growing up though; my parents are not fans of video games and when they found it at a yard sale it was all I was going to get. I mostly played Space Invaders, Asteroids, and a lot of Video Pinball.
