Hisoka the pedo clown easily. Other "creepy" characters have a generic archetype I could either laugh at or not take seriously, but that guy reeks pedophilia all over.

Doesn't really matter. It's semantics. You could really argue all day long about who is correct, when both have reasonable arguments of their own. Technically speaking, if you really want to get down to it, anime is technically cartoons - by definition. Cartoons: a simple drawing showing the features of its subjects in a humorously exaggerated way, especially a satirical one in a newspaper or magazine. a film using animation techniques to photograph a sequence of drawings rather than real people or objects. a full-size drawing made by an artist as a preliminary design for a painting or other work of art. Note the last two points. A film using animation techniques to photograph a sequence of drawings. So yes, anime is technically cartoons, because it fits that animation process. But like I said, it doesn't matter, because the very usage of "cartoon" today has been distorted, much like the word, "irony" (which doesn't have anything to do with funny remarks). "Cartoon" is very often used today when referring to animation (not necessarily "childish" animation mind you) that pander to younger audiences, when obviously, that isn't true with anime. Anime, by default, merely means any form of animation produced in Japanese, so that can be any animation targeted towards both adults and children. Thereby, today's definition of "cartoons" doesn't fit. But that's only when you take into consideration the informal usage of "cartoons" rather than the official Oxford definition... So, like I said, you could really argue all day long without getting anywhere.

Both. Much like the others, my PC is my default gaming platform as well. The only reason I don't play on console as often is because I couldn't afford one. I used to have a XBox 360, but I had to sell it away as I was in need of immediate cash. I never had the luxury of playing a Playstation, so that sucks, as Playstation has so many awesome games. I only own a PS Vita, ugh. And of course, handheld consoles are easier to buy, so I do also own a 3DS, and have owned multiple generations of "Gameboy" before, including the original black and white Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Gameboy SP, and the NDS (think I might have skipped "Advance" though and jumped right onto SP). Personally, I prefer both. PC gaming has a lot of comfortable luxuries. I can easily browse the Internet in the middle of gaming, for example. Yes, you can browse the Internet on any console these days, but there's just something uncomfortable typing on a console controller/gamepad. It's like typing on a smartphone. Browsing the Internet on a PC is just much more convenient for me. And by extension of that reason, I could also look up walkthrough in the middle of gaming with ease. I don't really know (or remember) how browsing the Internet on consoles work since I don't do that often, but Alt+Tab is very convenient. That being said, consoles have massive advantages when it comes to gaming. For starters, you don't need to upgrade your console to make it play next-gen games. You don't need to have good "specs" to turn on the highest graphical settings, because by default, PC graphics will always be superior than console graphics anyway... at least prior to the PS4 and XBox One, of course. LOL (So long, Master Race!) Also, consoles just generally have much more fun games than PCs IMO. A lot of game developers have started to make more ambitious titles that aren't generic FPS and RPGs on the consoles. On PCs, most of the games are simulators and RPGs. Whereas with consoles, you get The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption, Zero Escape (till the recent PC port, that is), Beyond Two Souls, Heavy Rain, GTA V (which took many years before the PC port), Uncharted, InFamous, Bloodborne, God of War, Until Dawn, and let's not forget... PERSONA 5! Dammit, PS4! Why no Vita port? :'( In the end, not only do console exclusives have much more variety than PC games IMO, a lot of big-time game developers seem to have shifted their attention towards consoles rather than PCs, particularly the Playstation 4 which is making tons of money today. With PC games, I feel like I know what kind of games to expect, especially with "indie gaming" being the norm of the PC gaming industry nowadays. A lot of games are returning to 8-bit nostalgia, pandering to CRPGs and other older forms of PC gaming.

lol This is harder to remember than the first anime I ever watched. Let's see... it's either Pokemon RBY (one of those versions), Tamagotchi, Digimon V-Pet, or a SNES game (Contra, Super Mario, etc.). I felt like SNES and Tamagotchi are the closer answers though.

I think you can find it on any anime-streaming site like KissAnime. For myself, I don't cry as often as I would like to watching shows, but it does happen, and boy, is it enjoyable to have a good cry. I can't remember the last time I cried over the death of an anime character though. Nowadays, with everything being spoiled right and left on the Internet, I'd almost expect the death coming even without watching the anime. Surprisingly, I remember not crying over Hughes' death, but ended up crying over Envy's death in FMA: Brotherhood. He (she?) was such a great villain, and his confession at the end just triggered all kinds of feels. I think I cried rewatching that death too. Nagisa's death and just about almost everyone's death in Key games would make anyone cry though. Poor Fuko... Sniff. It hit me especially hard when Okazaki and Nagisa remembered that they forgot about Fuko... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHCym5ehAas STOP THE TEARS! :'( Also... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn3XE2kZsrM Why can't I hold all these tears... I think, one thing about Key anime is that, the anime played a huge role in making it much harder not to cry. Key made some of the best and most emotional OSTs. But I think for Ushio's fate, watching it as an adult, as an older audience, the really heartbreaking part was that Ushio's state was not outside the realm of reality. Kids really do die in real life because of being born with a weak body. It's just impossible to watch Ushio's ending again without tearing up when I think about that. Last but not least... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0m_26OkleSY ...goal. RIP, kokoro. You know, might be just me, but Key has rarely made me cried as hard outside of Clannad and Air, maybe Kanon. Little Busters had me almost there with Komari's route, but after Little Busters, I don't think Key's Cry-ometer was ever the same again. I also didn't cry watching Angel Beats.

I like emotional drama that makes me cry, but more than that (and I hope I don't sound like an edgelord...), I like dark anime with depressing stories. There's just something about bleak stories that attract me. There's a sort of cathartic effect to it that I can't quite explain. Perhaps it's the heroes' struggle against their inevitable fate. Perhaps I just enjoy fiction reflecting my own misery. lol Anyway, that's one reason Madoka was one of my favorite anime. It's bleak as heck. Of course, not as much as Bokurano. The anime ruined the bleakness of the manga. There was also Narutaru (NOT Naruto!) - same author as Bokurano, but way more depressing. But that's only on the extreme end of what I love most. I do also enjoy thrillers with unexpected twists, like Steins;Gate. I always like those "wham episodes" where the anime just do something completely opposite of what its initial tone was like, switching from comedy to sudden horror and tragedy. Higurashi would have caught me by surprise in that regard were it not for its opening scene in episode 1. Also, deconstruction fleets. I love anime that deconstruct a certain genre. There's just something ambitious in that that I like, daring to break new grounds and do something new with an old and possibly dated genre, like Attack on Titan with the shounen genre.

If Sayaka wasn't already my waifu, this badass Queen would be. It's a shame Nasu didn't explore her struggles of hiding her gender during a time when women were still not respected. 2000?cb=20141023084946 And of course, there's this other badass warrior... And who could ever forget this guy? Pleasant fellow.

Oh, EveryMAC... no wonder Google turned out nothing when I wrote "Everyman Identifier". lol

Cool. Do you have the link? I'll check it out. Probably what anyone would've done in my position... restrain him and make myself famous by exposing the existence of heaven and God.

Average. I'd say... maybe 55mb/s. I use a wireless router, and that router is outside my bedroom, sealed off by my bedroom door, so that might affect the speed. Of course, that says nothing about how slow my computer is while playing next-gen games... I'm using a crappy iMac with 8gb memory, so I can't play games with extremely high graphical settings.

Banned because Nagisa looks like she has empty eyes in your avatar. Creepy...

She looks a bit too excited, like she's about to ask me, "Would you like to welcome Jesus into your heart?!"

Yep. I prefer tanned girls, but her skin looks soft... Warm hug incoming!

A kitten, naturally. How can the fluffy flesh of a warm smushy kitty ever be compared to the cold soulless husks of a filthy subway that delinquents and hoodlum often ride in? Pish posh. When trimming your nails, how deep do you trim them? i.e.: For myself, I trim away the entire 'white' part at the top of my nails.

I wouldn't mind the 'egg' part of the scrambled eggs. I love eggs. It's the two bizarre red prune-like objects that bother me. Is that chill? Raisins? Also, I wouldn't eat those thin white strips either. Are those onion strips? I'm allergic to vegetables. It's called vegetios intolerant. Just so you know, I'm an incredibly fussy eater. For myself, I want to post some American fast food like a juicy double cheeseburger or something... but I guess I'll post some local dish. It's half-boiled eggs! With soy sauce! My favorite breakfast. As much as I would love to have sunny side-up every morning, Singapore just isn't cultured enough to provide that luxury, so this will make do.

This question has probably been answered before, even outside of this thread but... Why "Kirry"? What's the origin behind that name, if you don't mind?

Because we all have too much free time on our hands, it seems. Feel free to ask Singapore-related questions if you want. Just know that I'm not too knowledgeable on the subject, despite being my own country. Not exactly a patriot, or that fond of how boring it is around this hick town. Also, since I'm a movie avid, feel free to ask movie-related questions as well. Would be nice to find another fellow movie enthusiast around here.
