  1. Saw Zootopia in the theater last night. It was a great film.

  2. I...half expect that method to come with a mangled translation. That's what happens with these machines.
  3. Don't you just love it when bootleg DVDs are the only reasonably priced ones available? It's happened to me, creating dilemmas.

I feel your pain, anime DVDs and BDs here in Australia easily reach $40-$60 for one season and premium releases. But bootlegs? Downloading would probably be the lesser evil there..

It gets worse when in some extreme cases, bootlegs are the only copies in existence...period. I'm the sort who prefers physical copies, too, so the dilemmas get really grating.

  4. I prefer shorter series to longer ones...and not just because of the length, either, though it certainly plays a part. I personally hate story arcs that drag on forever, but that's a different discussion altogether. Look at it this way; if a show goes on long enough, it's gonna drop in quality sooner or later. Once that happens, the most you can hope for is that it picks itself back up...which rarely happens. More likely, it'll keep going on for an eternity while going further down in quality until the show is finally put out of its misery. Shorter series, on the other hand, don't have to worry about this sort of thing. It's always a good thing when it finally ends its story. This doesn't just apply to anime and manga, either.
  5. I haven't been to one, and I'm not sure if I could see myself going.
  6. Got the first volume of the Dimension W manga; franchise seems interesting, but I'm afraid I won't watch the anime until the DVD comes out.

  7. I'm late to playing Transformers: War for Cybertron...but better late than never, because it's a good game. Very action packed, though. It seems the Autobot campaign has slightly less depressing graphics, though they're pretty drab all around.
  8. 12:56pm: Wake up, get ready to go to work. 2:15pm: Work, work work. I work hard every day, even if I'm getting increasingly tired. Uh...: I'm done for the day...whenever that is varying from day to day, though rarely is it later than 11:00pm. Of course, if I'm done early, I start looking for my supervisors to see if there's anything else to do. I figure it out from there. Usually, I go to this party store, if only because it's the only place in town open at night. We call it "Arnold's," though only because it was once called that. I buy some drinks like milk and V8 there. When I get home, I usually go online, posting in forums, and play video games. It seems talking to and cuddling with my Amitie plush has become a new part of the routine as of Monday earlier this week. On weekends...it varies greatly what I do then.
  9. The latest thing? Well, if I can list more than one thing, barring the food I always get... -Some Disney Infinity figures. These toys, man, they're awesome. -Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron. I've heard good things about these games, and I entered another Transformers kick, so why not? -The Matrix Collection. Mostly for nostalgic purposes; I've yet to see the films, but while the series may be mostly forgotten now, but when I was a kid, you couldn't go anywhere without seeing something related to the franchise. Those were the days! *sniff* -And while I technically bought it months ago (and before you ask, Lexiipantz, who I ordered it from, made the plush), my Amitie plush finally came in the mail, and she's as wonderful as I'd hoped.
  10. No .hack//? I dunno if you heard of that one, but that one came around for me long before I knew SOA so much as existed in some form, and I still don't think I've been exposed to Log Horizon to any significant degree. I prefer .hack's storytelling, myself, though SOA has its own appeal. Log Horizon is something I just can't speak for yet. It looks interesting, though. Sorry about that...
  11. I've met some good people and some bad ones. Some are worse than others...but the good ones are the reasons to stick around.

      Optic

Absolutely agree. Life is just too short to dwell around the bad ones.

  12. ...did I just see an advocation for the idea that sales equals quality? Because it doesn't. At all. Anyways...I'll admit, I look at pervy stuff (something I've gone from resenting to accepting...and then not only back to resenting, but resenting it worse), but well...well, if it's just an attempt at fanservice and nothing else, maybe they should have come up with a better scenario. If it has some important scenes, or just makes the world seem more alive, I can accept it, but if it serves no purpose beyond quick fanservice and you can remove it without affecting the plot, then maybe they shouldn't have gone through with it.
  13. I'd love to see the Sonic anime OVA get a series...but Sega's incompetence, combined with a lawsuit a few years back (on Archie, but it's related to Sonic) probably ensured it won't happen anytime soon. I'll be shocked if there's even a four issue comic book miniseries set in the universe; it's that unlikely. Beyond that? Well, the Disgaea anime never adapted anything past the first game. I say we're long overdue for a second season.
  14. Well, I'm back! What'd I miss?

It is hard to say what you missed, but I can say that you were missed, welcome back~

Welcome back! Not much besides the usual currently airing discussions.

  15. Circumstances beyond my control means I can't be online for a week or so. Sorry to say that, but stuff happens sometimes.

  16. I'm planning on getting a Japanese PS2 at some point, and I'm already planning on getting some games for it (as well as some PS1 titles); -Puyo Puyo~n -Puyo Puyo Box -Puyo Puyo Tsu (I hear the PS2 version is the best) -Ape Escape: Million Monkeys If I'm insane enough, I may also get the PS2 version of Puyo Puyo Fever 2, if only so I have at least one console version of the Fever duology. The Kingdom Hearts Final Mixes and the Final Fantasy X updated versions I won't nab due to the remasters using them as a basis and being availabe in America; I'm not the most serious collector, so what's the point? Anything else I ought to consider?
  17. I just feel so...empty. I'm trying to find a bright side, and I do appreciate the understanding I've gotten...but only time can heal it...

Would you like to discuss it in private? Feel free to lend an ear to me if you're comfortable with it.

I have been there. U know when u feel all alone. Hey but dont worry life will get better.

  18. A cheapo Tracfone. It was only $5 (on sale; even the regular price is $10). It doesn't do all that fancy stuff, but it does what I need it to do.
  19. I like some old school stuff like the original Dragon Ball, Di Gi Charat, the Sonic Anime OVA and I think some others that aren't immediately popping up in my head. I'm thinking of getting into Lupin III. I have The Castle of Cagliostro, though I'd be lying if I said that the fact that Hayao Myazaki directed that wasn't a reason I bought it. I'm actually planning on taking it with me to my friend's place today. Speaking of which, I like a lot of Studio Ghibli films. I still have fond childhood memories of My Neighbor Totoro.
  20. Hm...I think I came into contact with a typewriter myself.
  21. 3D Puyo Puyo Tsu is getting an American release.

Hmmm...I may have to look into purchasing it. When does it come out?

    3. SurrealBrain

      SurrealBrain

Sega 3D Classics Collection, which includes 3D Puyo Puyo Tsu, is coming out April 26th, if I'm not mistaken.

    4. Ryuji

      Ryuji

Sounds good. I'll keep that in mind once April comes. I'll be needing a new game by then.

  22. When you collect old games, new is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive, if it's even an option. Whether or not I buy used depends entirely on the availability, price and whether or not I wanna support the company. Last year, Sega's managed to kill what little respect I had left for them, so I now rarely, if ever, buy their non-Puyo Puyo games new. Bayonetta 2 I don't think counts; Nintendo published that one. Hell, even if the next Sonic game is the best one in all of existence (which is very unlikely), I'll wait until it hits the used bin; I just don't want to support Sega anymore.
  23. Sorry if it seems I'm in a sour mood...just as I feel better about one thing, another puts me right back...and it angers me greatly.

Hey don't sweat it, these things happen and we'll understand. If things get really frustrating, don't hesitate to message someone to talk to or even just vent to, I'm sure there are a number of us along with myself who are happy to help however we can~
