Oh man, I saw that video today! @RuthisianCodex =-=;;; Also that made me laugh @The History Kid I liked this video - start it at 039 to get past the intro. ---- and the video was deleted Sparks notes: The flu isn't sexy anymore, so the news will only talk about crazy new things and make it bigger than it is. Still I wish the video was still there.

I won't lie, I posted the Toilet paper feed because I started feeling sick 2 days ago XD Stupid vacation =-= Its like my body knows I won't be busy...bittersweet luck haha. I'm playing league of legends and watching Castlevania season 3 on Netflix ...I'm not sure if I like this show yet but, I've been watching to many emotional shows that make me tear up haha so its a nice change... I'm too sensitive Here's a Riven picture I drew though ^___________^-

I like coffee more then tea. I feel like if I don't have a coffee when I wake up that something is off with my day. I do add almond milk and sugar to my coffee though. Black is blegh no offense to those who enjoy it. I love iced Vietnamese coffee (drip coffee with condensed milk poured over ice). However to much caffeine will make me jittery and shaky haha As for teas, I like all kinds of tea, my favorites would be English breakfast as a tea latte, white and herbal teas black, masala Chai tea with sugar, or green tea.

Kikyo and Rei (Seemingly a two part topic) I was always told I look like robin sena from witch hunter robin....if I did her hair and wore her cloths at least haha.

Two days ago it was beautiful, felt like spring...washed my car. BAM - blizzard. Its still snowy and cold, it will warm up for a day or two and then BAM - nother blizzard -_-;; can't wait for some sunshine - lasting sunshine. Or rain. I love the rain *-*

Violet Evergarden.....I mean common, each episode pulls at all the heart strings. I don't think I've cried that much watching an anime in such a long time. Albeit I am a bit sensitive towards emotional...everything lolol I'm so glad I watched it though. I want to read the manga and hope the second series comes out (I read they planned on making one?) Also heard the manga was different to the anime. Either way, I couldn't stop watching it and needed so many Kleenexes. Haha

Hi hi! Welcome back I actually am new and will happily say this forum is nicely active. I've had those moments jumping back into a forum. Its neat to see the changes with the community and potentially run into the friends you've made in the past hopefully your return will be a positive experience.

LOL....I'm such an opposite from everyone here. I have a love/hate relationship with social media. I mean this forum is a form of social media on its own (a form of communication in a social setting). My love - I can keep in touch with people I no longer am geographically close to. It makes group chats with friends and/business a lot quicker and more effective/efficient IF you know how to use it and have everyone on the same page/respect being open about communication with those who don't use it. (I only use WhatsApp to write people now as no one really texts me except 3 people) and no one calls anymore unless its my dad ^^; I like cute filters and playing around with certain apps with my friends. And I enjoy Instagram as I place a lot of art on it and can get a wider range of feedback from people and have the ability to search other things. It makes us more globally aware and open to seeing more. (Con of this, is obviously certain things can be staged and create false advertising or more body image/shaming issues - but also has the power to do the exact opposite and create inspiration). I also am a twitch streamer and enjoy talking to random people on a daily basis! I think its so neat to talk to people of such varying backgrounds. My hate of it though....it can cause a lot of stress, it can create a lot of distance for people in relationships, it creates a worse sense of needing that immediate response from the world and can make you feel even more insignificant in a depressing way. Its also really easy to hurt people with or be hurt from. Tbh its a scary thought thinking of raising children with social media being so prevalent. As for your question about leaving it. I've lost and broken my phone and have gone without a computer for weeks and months. Its actually really relieving not being accessible to people and having a break. But, because its around me so much, I so noticed its absence and also have to let my friends be aware I am sans social media so they can still contact me or people think you're angry at them or avoiding them. To many pro and cons haha

I would take any job opportunity that allows me to travel. I'd say go for it! Especially if you have the stability to take it. Also, from most work transfers I've seen, they usually hook you up with someone to teach you basic language or customs. But, from hearing experiences from friends who have travelled to teach English in Japan and in Korea. I do have a friend who was a chef in China and they did the same for her. Basic language. That being said, because I'm such a cool weeb *sarcasm*, I did take some Japanese in uni and there are a lot of resources to assist you in learning the language - vocally, but yes kanji would be the hardest hurdle which I wouldn't even tackle as most things have their hiragana written near it anyway. (Generally it takes about a year to learn decent cursory Japanese so don't feel to worried it looks more intimidating until you dive in)...AND there are phone apps that do a cursory translation via your phones camera. I would want to stay in Japan long enough to feel like I've delved into the culture a bit more. So quick vacays I think wouldn't be enough for me. Also its hella pricey to say the least. But, with a job lined up and hopefully some assistance with finding somewhere to stay I'd totally jump on it. I would be concerned about sticking out is all, as mentioned already I'd also want to visit an onsen and have a tattoo, so there is the risk of standing out (although there are a few that don't care at all about tattoos). My one friend who moved to Canada from Japan said she would always get stared at or almost bullied because she dyes her hair red. There are some plus and some negatives to any place though. And...if your a boy and tall you'll probably get asked to get your photo taken with strangers a lot hehe. Still, carpe diem might as well take the opportunity if nothings holding you back.

Its a fair point - acknowledge and appreciate the people who are around you. However, also recognize if something goes wrong, to still cherish the good memories and not let them eat away at you and prevent you from building new relationships. A lot can happen with friends, gain as much as you can and build yourself in the process. this is a happy post though, I'm happy for you to have such awesome people in your life.

I'm currently home with a cold =3= just going through more of my past pictures to post and watching Mia Maples on Youtube, because her mom and daughter videos are cute and funny. These pastel works are older, I haven't really tried pasteling in awhile....but I have some velour paper I use to color on, and some rough drafts for the picture itself. This is a kinkajous and panda.. what are some animals you love? Pastelling is really forgiving, I like to use oil pastels because it looks almost like paint when its complete. You have more control over your colors and blending is very easy and there is no drying time needed. You do have to be careful with the paper because you don't want to indent it and create crease lines. You can also use pencil crayons for details like hair/fur/whiskers/eyes...(pencil crayons like prismacolor). Anyways enjoy the video haha

Is it really that bizarre? It's something “new” to focus on and is affecting a lot of people. It's hard to gauge political input from my end though (especially because you're viewing it from the States side) – it's not really discussed as much here from a political stand point EXCEPT, all the mention about financial blowback after the fact. Money....But, then again, I don't know, I feel like its been handled well and is organized when it comes to finding people who are sick. And....I don't use twitter lol. I have a few friends who are nurses here and they're already dealing with an influx of flu cases right now. However, we have become so blasé to the flu and how bad it can actually be I don't think people who are 20's-40's really think that much about it unless they are in the medical field. I worked as an Optician for 7 years and would get the flu shot because it was offered during the day at work by the clinic owners. However, I have never sought out getting immunized. That being said, when my sister had a baby I did go on my own volition BECAUSE of my nephew being born. Even with the shot though, there are variations of strain when it comes to the flu, so even being inoculated doesn't always help. But, those who are vulnerable will go out of their way to protect themselves, as they should. Back to the media, they have been discussing each case, each death from all around the world, and so of course you're going to be panicked hearing it all the time. I would be freaked out if they started discussing anything negative over and over again for months. It's true that a lot of the symptoms will go unnoticed, also – quarantined people my foot, there is a lady in Calgary Alberta who was on the California princess cruise, quarantined for 14 days, no symptoms came home and then almost a week later had the virus and now they've had to close down the business she was working at, and she is now again self quarantining until she is healthy again. I think a lot of people are reflecting on how it is popping up – but in Canada, for example, the people who are popping up are those who are coming back from travelling, not from receiving it from having it transferred randomly with no known connections. As for the vaccine, I have another friend who is a phlebotomist and she was mentioning the trial vaccines they received a the hospital shes at. She deals with research – and I know that there has been a a lot of joint efforts to find a vaccine globally so hopefully something will come up soon to help those who are vulnerable. But, hospitals are already overwhelmed under the flu season so places that aren't prepped to take on so many people – that is scary – BUT, I would feel more nervous for 3rd world countries where the infrastructure isn't there. But, yes to much revving of fears, and then FOMO, because once something is out of place enough times, it will keep on catching. Please don't go out and buy more toilet paper. Hahah @efaardvark also....ps. Because I'm really not cool with slangs – what is B-shippers? haha Also, honestly, as long as you're just making sure you're stocked for a month or two, I don't see a real issue. Furthermore, no battle royales happening to gain said supplies. AND, you're getting ACTUAL necessities like meds and food. That at least is logical to me haha

@The History Kid aw man, I want to hear this joke now. I agree it is ridiculous. I mean, yes, its good to protect yourself...but in a logical way. Its just another form of the flu.(worse for elderly, sick, weak immune systems, children). Its crazy though, Netflix had aired pandemic in Canada and it talks about the spread of the flu. Was interesting timing haha. My friend sent me a snapchat where he was holding a bag of bounty and some royale leaning over them as if he was just in a battle. With a tag "spoils of war" He's in Edmonton. Which...just sounds funny on its own if you know anything about Canada.

Sleepy, I'm suppose to be on vacation but I ended up catching a cold. Been painting and playing around with my drawing tablet and bundling under blankets watching netflix Day 3 of sniffles =-=

I'm a horse...as for western, I was born on the cusp so sometimes I'm a Taurus and sometimes I'm an Aries. @Anime loveer I had a friend who was very interested in zodiac, you should look into your moon sign. It has to do with the time you were born.

I thought this would be a fun and somewhat interesting topic to throw up. As corona/covid-19 discussions are on the news everyday its really making a lot of people anxious. I was conducting interviews a few weeks back for new hires, and one potential candidate voiced his concerns about his safety well working in case the virus showed up in our city. As this is something that we can't necessarily control we did discuss the use of proper hygiene and what would occur if it say popped up in one of our employees. He ended up not taking the job (this was a highschool kid) his mom lives in Taiwan and told him to not work right now - because of the dangers. Anyways, now there are people who are clearing shelves of toilet paper in Canada. I know its bad in Australia as well....but....Canada doesn't have any outbreaks and the people who have contracted the virus are those who came back from cruises (not passed to random strangers). It seems people are seeking out toilet paper because it's big, its a 1st world comfort and everyone is leaving shelves bare and fueling the fear. I think its silly. What are your thoughts? How's your cities toilet paper supply? What are some bizarre things you've noticed?

That's so hard, as I would love to travel everywhere. I suppose I would choose to go to Singapore all the different cultures 0-0 all the different foods 0-0 If you could be in one anime and have to spend the rest of your life in it - without knowing what role you would take on, which anime would you choose?

This was the start of a birthday gift for another friend. She is a Power Rangers fanatic. We always talk about our childhood memories of Power Rangers...she would go visit her grandad he would watch PR with her and discuss epic ninja battles (He was into martial arts movies in general). And I......was not allowed to watch it because it was deemed to violent. (SO SILLY) She loves villains hence Scorpina. Reference and sketch - I do not have the colored picture =-= I'm bad at photographing all my work afterwards haha Who do you usually fall for in a show? Villain or Hero?

I'm first and foremost captivated by the art work. I have a lot of Kaori Yuki's manga because I loved the style, especially the clothing and hair detail. I am also drawn to cute work like clamp. I'm horrible though because I usually will buy for art and sometimes take years to actually read the stories. They are more art books to me. That being said, I'm pretty frugal, and so if I do find a series I like, I generally will look around at used book stores or find sales to purchase. I'm a big reader and love hard copy novels and will generally use rewards to buy more. Oddly enough, I'm more pulled towards story when it comes to western comics (like the sandman series and Fables series) But, again, I like the art style still. Webcomics I'm pulled in by the story. That being said, when I receive mangas as gifts and I like the story, I will seek out copies if I find it at a decent price.

Chobits - did not know it was slightly ecchi. My innocent mind destroyed. Just kidding Clamp got me into sketching though :3

I suppose, I should make an actual art post considering this is all new haha. Lets start with a picture I drew of a co-worker. She was sad one day because she didn't like her nose. I was a bit flabbergasted as I feel this person is beautiful inside and out....and so, I drew her lol Got to love inspiration no matter where it comes from. Now this one started as a sketch (just pencil) I have this sketch if anyone wants to see it haha... colored it after with some copics, and then did some edits on my phone. It is by no means exciting, quality isn't amazing....but it made my friend's day so who cares? ^.- My friend loves astronomy I tend to do a lot of mixed media in my work ^^;

I figured it would be important to introduce this blog before I actually just go forth and post. Although, how essential is an actual intro when you aren't really sure what you'll be posting? Yes, there will be random posts of artwork. Yes, I will probably vent some frustrations when dealing with a piece. I assume, I will probably leave some insight as to what has worked for me during a piece or not. IF that ever comes up (and that is totally dependent on whether or not I post more than sketches). I suppose, it would be up to you - the reader, as to where this should go. Please let me know if a work interests you, if you're curious how it was done, if you would like to know my process, if you have any questions about products I use, how I use them, and or any general statements. Art critics are welcome, will it be acknowledged? Maybe, maybe not every time, but I will read it nonetheless ^^v If this doesn't go anywhere and I ghost you all. Please forgive me. - Nyx

I used to play d&d at my friends house XD I miss those days. I haven't met a group that's interested in playing anymore. Welp, it was worth offering up but most people have seen MHA but it looked up your alley. I would recommend others, but...I've been going through a "lets watch whatever will make you cry" anime phase. Not sure you'd be interested you should check out the recommendations thread though haha ^^
