  1. I'm less than 24 hours from getting Spyro, so I guess I can count that right?
  2. That free version won't have the Forsaken DLC, but it's free so, get it, start it up, and keep it. That way you can play it whenever if you want. However, my personal opinion, is that all that happened with the game last year when it launched means I wouldn't support it. Activision screwed with their fanbase with it for months after launch and I wouldn't put it past them to do it again, so joining Destiny 2 is an at your own risk kind of move.
  3. Even though I'm a guy, I never play as a male when I have the option, Females generally have better or more options for customization, and I may be the odd one out here, but I don't like envision myself as the Hero, which is weird since I've played a lot of games with silent Protag's who you are supposed to project yourself on. I never did though, so I don't have a problem making a character female, because that's the start of distancing my character from myself.
  4. I haven't played Skylanders, mostly because all the figurines end up costing a lot, but I did play the PS2 Spyro games, which we're okay. I honestly think people give them too much flak, especially since Enter The Dragonfly was forcibly rushed. I played a bit of the Spyro Legend series after it hit PS3, but due to my copy of the first one being one that suffered some serious bugs, I ended up watching the rest of it on YouTube. The original trilogy however, is my pretty much my favorite trilogy of all time. I've beaten the second and third ones over 50 times, and the first one, which is something of a comfort game for me, over 100 times. I'm super excited to try the Reignited Trilogy and see if the changes that are there work, such as hover mechanic looking so much different in the first two games from the gameplay we've seen. I do worry about the Dragons in the first game though sort of ruining part of the fun, since each dragon type seemed to suggest that each homeworld had different types of dragons, but from other gameplay we've seen, there's a dragon in Town Square that better fits the look of the Beast Makers Dragons. We'll have to see what happens, but I'm interested all the same.
  5. For me it's the Sony line, and heck I might as well cover each system really quick with a few great games to play. PS1: Spyro Trilogy, Crash Trilogy, Final Fantasy Trilogy, Chrono Cross, Metal Gear Solid, Cool Border Trilogy, Tony Hawk's Tetralogy. PS2: Dot hack games, Dark Cloud games, Gran Turismo Games, Ratchet and Clank Tetralogy. Jak Tetralogy. PSP: Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Jeanne D'arc, Final Fantasy: Crisis Core, Dissidia Final Fantasy games (seriously my favorite fighters ever, weird I know) PS3: Uncharted Trilogy, Ratchet and Clank Future Games, Ni No Kuni, The Last of Us, Bioshock Trilogy, PS Vita Games: Persona 4 Golden, Danganronpa games, Tales of Hearts R, Ys: Memory of Celceta, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel games, Freedom Wars, All the Hyperdimension games. The Last of Us. PS4: Marvel's Spider-Man, Dot Hack GU Last Recode, God Eater (soon to be) Trilogy, Dragonball Xenoverse 1 and 2, DBFZ, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted 4, Dragon Quest XI, Tales of Berseria, Dragon Quest Heroes (not so much II). That's just a few games for each Sony console I came up with mostly off the top of my head.
  6. I feel like every time I come here to check this forum and this thread, @AniMeFReaK was the who posted last. Either way, I'd be cool with it.
  7. A lot of people probably think my user name, which some of called Epic, must have an interesting backstory behind it, but the best part about having a name like this, where people are all like "oooh, where'd you get it" and such, is that that story doesn't exist. I quite literally was drawing the most massive of blanks on what to call myself the day I got an Xbox 360 as a birthday gift. I didn't want to use the two other names I had used online which were JakRizen and Ichigo_Uzumaki, and my nickname at the time, Mr. Pocket, requires a lot of explaining and that includes some information about IRL me that I wouldn't necessarily want to part with, so I put in the random name generator, thinking I was going to have to run through it a dozen times or more, only for this name, repentantsky to show up in the first go around. I liked it, but I thought it looked weak so I used caps for each actual word and got RepentantSky, and I've used the name on several different occasions since.
  8. I don't know why, but I've become semi-obsessed with Yokai Watch Blasters. I have like 70 hours into it now, and I play it every day.
  9. I don't like the often failed attempt to complicate battle systems, or to pretend they are complicated. Xenoblade 2 is a good example of that problem. Games are so desperate to try and do more than you have just mashing buttons or holding them down, that they try and make their combat seem deep, by adding in elements, or something like that as if it makes it better and it often fails.
  10. I may be the odd one out overall, but I love everything Tales of Xillia. The characters are all fantastic, believable, likable, well developed, and most importantly, easy to feel for so everything they go through, you go through it with them. They are simply the best characters in my opinion, followed by Abyss, Vesperia, and Berseria all tied for second.
  11. SAO is the worst anime to get popular this century FMA original is better than Brotherhood because the Disney style ending ruins the atmosphere of the show and betrays some of the characters arcs Ufotable is the main that characters are becoming less and less human Re:Zero is the second worst anime to become popular this century Subs completely suck now because the refusal to allow people to do different voices, which have been the same since Gigantor Attack On Titan Season 3 ruined the show entirely due to it's bad pacing that made it hard to watch
  12. Odd one, but I got really freaked out by Corpse Party Blood Drive. Something about being chased by former friends turned into scary enemies really got to me.
  13. Right now, I'm playing Marvel's Spider-man, Dragon Quest XI, and Yo-kai Blasters. Hoping to finish one or two of those before long because I'm looking forward to Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Mega Man 11, Luigi's Mansion, Spyro and Soul Calibur VI.
  14. The style of CGI that is used for that first anime, which by the way is one I dropped for reasons other than it's crappy CGI, is hugely problematic because it takes any chance of looking at the characters as humans and removes them due to the wonky motions they take which is the worst example of the uncanny valley that anime has ever had. Now the CGI here: which probably has a lot to do with why the CGI debate even started when it did, I think is fine. Another example of it being fine is this: However, at the time people hated that CGI was even being used in anime to the extent that it was changing the look of an anime so people pushed back against it, and in an attempt to save it, animators went with the crap from the first image OP posted. That kind of CG is not acceptable because it looks worse and it's movements are entirely so unnatural that it's impossible to enjoy anything that looks that way for a lot of people. However CGI itself is not a bad idea, and it was being used before changes like Haruka and The Magic Mirror, or the .hack//The Movie was made, and people didn't notice it much. When it's done right, it's fine, when it done incorrectly and ruins a show like the one from that first image, it's problematic.
  15. RPG's are the spice of life in gaming. They have the most sub-genre's, there's no universal controls so they can all play differently, and each one has the ability to tell a great story while only relying on a few basic tropes. That is all.
  16. That especially doesn't make sense. Back then people were watching anime for DBZ style explosions or Sailormoon levels of story, no cared if something was too Japanese. I mean they didn't even convert Yen in Sailormoon if memory served.
  17. For me it's mostly weird translations. This is more of a game problem, but sometimes, when something doesn't "make sense" because it's seen as "too Japanese" that becomes a problem. I lived through the 90's though, the bad voice acting doesn't bother me that much.
  18. That's fair. Same thing can be said for a lot of games as far as most of the combat goes, but since SMT has the Press turn system and the negotiation system, so there is more to it.
  19. Persona and SMT are more turn-based than strategy.
  20. Strategy can be hit and miss for me. I really like Fire Emblem, Final Fantasy Tactics and Valkiryia Chronicles but those are the only ones I can get into.
  21. That's difficult. If we're talking about Persona, it would be Persona 4 golden. If we're talking SMT, it's a tie with IV and Apocalypse. I'mma story based guy more than anything else and the story in those games are the best in the SMT series for what my money is worth,
  22. Persona 5 is great. Not my favorite in the series, but still fantastic.
  23. I mostly play on my PS4 and 3DS so Dragon Quest XI, Yo-kai Watch blasters, Spider-man, Luigi's Mansion 3DS and Spyro are all pretty high up on games I'm looking forward to.
