Anime That Deserve More Content

What are some anime that you think either weren't long enough or were unfortunately cut short? There are plenty of anime that could've been better if they were given the time to be fleshed out more.

Definitely Seraph of the End. There are two seasons but the second ended on a stupid cliffhanger…and that was in 2015. Nothing else has come from the series which sucks because it’s so good! ;~;

Battle Angel Alita definitely deserves more than the 2 ep OVA it got in the 90s.

Beautiful Bones - Sakurako’s Investigation ended just as it was revealed there was a mastermind connecting some of the cases. And we don’t know the circumstances surrounding Sakurako’s brother’s disappearance/death.

Other anime that “ended” with unresolved mysteries/storylines: Shadows House, Gleipnir, Mieruko-chan, Land of the Lustrous, Kemono Jihen, Spriggan.

I would have watched so much more Haruhi and Lucky Star if KyoAni had decided to keep either of those going. I usually don't start a story driven show (like an adaptation or something) if I know the anime doesn't or isn't likely to have an ending, so I haven't had to suffer through many half finished stories. But stuff like Haruhi and Lucky star which is just slice of life, I always want more of.

Burn the Witch. No idea what's going on with Kubo's second anime but it had a promising start and then just vanished.

I feel like at this point, old shows that are unfinished should be wrapped up. They will keep saying they can't keep those promises right now, but there comes a point where you gotta ask...if not now, then when?

I feel like there are lots of unfulfilled promises in these entertainment industries in general. And the longer they take to hold their end of the bargain, the less invested I am,

I don’t like it when they leave things hanging either.  An ending is what often makes or breaks a story.  Not achieving some sort of closure really means there is no story, just a bunch of random events strung together with no meaning.
