Today is Monday but feels like it was so long it should be Friday if that says anything about how I felt at work today lol.

Mondays are strange days, even though I'm retired so they shouldn't be any different to any other day they still 'feel' different and I'm always glad when Monday is over.

I feel relieved. At my work, I met a lot of people. It was kind of crazy to see how the friends I used to know impacted the (real World) so to speak. I feel like some social media guy was making them work without pay. I don't know if its the weird one though.

My relationships with people inside my circle have always been rocky, but I don't care. Like I really don't. There's no point in worrying about something that will be taken care of. I just wanted to make sure everyone's siblings weren't going to be next in line. For the wrong station.

Reminds me of a Tuesday in Tokyo, I randomly followed this guy on a subway train because I thought he was my dad for a second. He's a quiet guy, introspective and gets embarrassed easily, and this one was so silent it reminded me of someone I lost a while back.

I'm feeling a lot of things right now, but most of all, its not happy. Thats all.

I feel a lot better today. The last few days I've still had a lot of anxiety and felt kind of anti-social and needing to recharge myself I think.

Just had an earthquake here.  Feeling a bit like I'm on an amusement park ride.  🎢  :)

Edit: felt a couple more so I hit the USGS site.  There's been a number of them in the last few minutes, all originating a bit north of me.  75mi / 116km away but still strong enough to feel here. 😮

I feel glad I finished all of my work projects and like I can relax for the rest of the week since I won't be taking anymore new projects.

I heard about this, my friend who lives out there said she felt a lot of aftershocks and when I looked it up earlier it said there were over 50 aftershocks 😵 Is 5.2 pretty strong? I don't really know what qualifies as a devastating earthquake.

The USGS's page on the earthquake numbering system describes a 5 as, "felt by nearly everyone; many awakened. some dishes, windows broken. Unstable objects overturned. Pendulum clocks may stop."  For things like collapsing buildings built with earthquake codes in mind it needs to be a high 7 or even an 8, though even a 6 can knock over an unreinforced brick wall or bring down a poorly-constructed structure.

As someone who was born in and has lived in earthquake territory all his life I'd say that a 5.2 isn't particularly strong.  If you were awake and alert then you would definitely feel it, especially if the epicenter was right under you.  Depending on geography you might feel the shaking / rolling motion up to a couple hundred miles away. It generally isn't going to hurt you though unless it happened to catch you in an unfortunate moment such as while you're climbing a ladder.  (Or  defusing a bomb. 🤣 ) The only damage it would cause might be knocking something over or causing liquids in pots or cups escape their container.  It should have basically no effect on the structural integrity of a properly-constructed building.  Depending on where you are and what you're doing you might not even notice it.

Subjectively it probably depends on the person and how familiar they are with earthquakes.  I once slept through a 6.7 earthquake.  My sister in law who comes from back east, on the other hand, would claim that anything she can feel is terrifying and will quite likely lead directly to the end of the world as we know it.  :D

I've only experienced 1 real earthquake and it happened it at night, I was sleeping on the couch and I heard the cabinets slamming and some things falling but in my half-asleep state I had no idea what was going on. Not ever having felt an earthquake on the East Coast though I don't think even in a fully awake state I would have understood what was going on xD Sleepy me woke up half way though and thought it was poltergeist, which seemed totally logical to me in that sleepy state and I remember being a little angry they were being loud like that and rolled over and went back to sleep 🤣

I've always kind of wanted to be in an awake state for one to actually feel what's going on, but I'm super fascinated by weather and weather phenomena lol ~ I wouldn't want to get hurt or anyone to get hurt though when experiencing one. Here I guess we are much more used to tornado's and hardly ever get any earthquakes.

Well I was having a pretty good day until I went outside and ran into this guy who always follows me and says things that could easily be considered sexual harassment x.x I feel kind of anxious now but I'll be alright shortly.

I am excited today was my last day at my current job and next week I begin at my new company.

I wish you well for your first day at the new job.  From what you've said about it I'm sure you'll fit right in and enjoy working for the new company.

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps you should consider reporting him to the police if he keeps doing it, sexual harassment is a crime.

I feel a little bit draggy after having taken an afternoon nap, other than this I feel okay and have had a good day.

Really awake, bouncy, hyper. I usually feel this way later in the evening on the weekends. Like I want to run a marathon around the house like a lil dog .-.

That's every night xD

Today's been good and I've felt great. The weather not being as hot has greatly helped how I feel the last few days. No headaches all week!

Just had another earthquake hit!  This one was a bit less strong at 4.4 but much, much closer.  The cluster of quakes from last week were about 75 miles away.  This one was only about 5!  Subjectively it felt a lot stronger than last week’s.  My office at work is on the 8th floor and we could not only feel the shaking but the building was swaying as well.

That would scare me if I was that high up and the building was shaking 😮 Glad you are okay, hope everyone is safe.

Today I had a great day. I started work at my new job and was introduced via Zoom to the team I will be working with. They are a funny group of nerds like me and we got along well from the start. There were already 2 people I knew on my team so this helped me not to feel anxious as you usually do when starting at a new job.
