  1. Great OST! The vocals are not my cup of tea but they're fine and fit the rest. 8/10 Panty and Stockings with Gaterbelt - I Want You
  2. "Screw the rules, I have money" "I have to regain my dignity by winning in a children's card game" - Seto Kaiba, YGOAS "Baby Pharaoh wants milk! Somebody, fetch me a nipple" - Baby Atem, YGOAS "I have fought sixty battles, and I haven't learned anything which I didn't know before" - Napoleon Bonaparte
  3. The only question I ever was asked about anime was when I was watching some action anime, forgot which one it was, and my mother came in, watched a bit and then asked: "why can all these people jump so high?" Not the getting hit by a punch that breaks stone, falling from the sky and crushing the ground instead of dying or the hillariously flapping titties with the size of basket balls- no; it was the jumping that was the odd thing.
  4. Nice piano piece, a very unique one for anime! For some ominous reason I haven't yet watched the anime even though I loved the original, this piece is just one more reason. 8/10 Magic Kaito - Theme
  5. Also, if you like SEL and/or Ergo Proxy I'd also recommend Texhnolyze, which is criminally underrated, has some similar themes to SEL and gives you similar vibes, yet is different and unique enough. And you'll probably also enjoy Perfect Blue, a movie by the same director who made Paranoia Agent, if you liked these anime.
  6. Apart from all the drama and acting - I still think Eminem was better. Rap Devil isn't really that good. I mean, its decent but that's about it. Most disses were plain, some could be applied to people that look like eminem --too many lines were attacking eminem's appearance or age which is kinda lackluster since Eminem doesn't have an extravagant or eccentric appearance (unlike MGK)--, but credit were credit is due. The line: was really good --kudos where it`s deserved-- but overall, the diss was meh. The name "Rap Devil" is even more ironic when you think about Lucifer's story in mythology, kinda a self diss.I expected a better reply, not that Killshot was bad, it was great, but I expected more from Eminem but it was enough in the end. I didn't follow the feud, only listened to the disses as I don't really care about the drama unless its relevant for the songs (usually read the lyrics and research what I don't get), but from what I've picked up, MGK behaved allegedly pretty pathetic - if that's true, I don't know and I frankly don't care about that. IMO, Eminem`s diss was better
  7. Really great series, one of my favs. Sometimes I like to list it as one of my top 5s, sometimes I don't - I really have a hard time getting a permanent list of favorite anime (or really any list of that kind) together though... It one of the series that have a high rewatch value, as there is a lot to miss on the first or second watch and the show pretty open to interpret. I've seen people interpreting from a religious POV, from different philosophical angles, or as a critque/praise of internet and technology. I can understand when people say that its boring, since not a lot seems to happen, however, I think there definitly is a lot going on in all eps. But not everyone has to like it, and its not a show for everyone which is fine, and different people like/dislike it for different reasons... One thing i like that not many series have is the tone and the mood - SEL gives this feeling of creeping alienation which I haven't had in another anime yet.
  8. Johan wanted Tenma to kill him, that's why Tenma had to survive until the end. The idea of a "perfect suicide" also means, that you don't commit actual suicide in the end, but rather get killed by someone. Ofc, this means that he had to give the killer, Tenma, a motive to kill him, and a reason to commit suicide afterwards otherwise thered still be a person who knew him - his killer. If I remember correcty --I haven't watched the series in a long time-- Johan tried to make it that a bunch of people go rampart and kill him and Tenma, but I'm not entirely sure on that one though. Again my lack of knowledge due to not having seen it in a long time, but not killing certain people who knew him wasn't a decision he wanted to make but had to do because of the circumstances - maybe these are plotholes, I can't remember but it seems unlikely. Johan is by definition not entirely consistent, purposely. Also, Johan wanted to die after his sister, how it should have been when they were shot as kids, so she had to survive too. As to why he wanted to get shot by her at the beginnning, I'd have to rewatch that scene - honestly, I think I'm gonna rewatch the series after I finished my current anime >.>
  9. Granted, but they couldn'tt write anything down, so it'd all be lost. I wish I could look into the past at my will, with being able to determin time and place, as often as I want.
  10. A really good "good-for-in-between" --meaning, not something I would casually listen to, but play sometimes-- song! 7/10 The Bygone Days - Porco Rosso
  11. EU4 is one of my favorite games! With 600h play time I'm probably an intermediate. I have a good understanding of the mechanics, I'd say I know most, but there are always new tricks to learn and some details to discover - especially when every major patch changes some things fundamentally....
  12. EU4 - Trying a world conquest with the might Ulm. So far so good and had a bunch of luck
  13. "Creation is an emberassing process, and dreams are emberassing as well. You can't help it, its common. But its not something you shouldn't belitter yourself over" - Kaiki, Monogatari 2nd season “Fools have a habit of believing that everything written by a famous author is admirable. For my part I read only to please myself and like only what suits my taste.” - from Candide by Voltaire (I think it was Venetian noble man who said that in the book) “Many a man has a treasure in his hoard that he knows not the worth of." - Beowulf, translation by J.R.R Tolkien
  14. I haven't seen the show in along time but from what I remember: There are two Johans, one monster and one 'normal' Johan who lost to the monster personality, which is why its not brought up again - by the later half the monster is the only Johan left, I think. His monster is just pure chaotic evil that wants to kill and just because. But later he also want to commit suicide, but not by conventional standards but by killing everything and everyone who ever knew him. Think of the ending of SEL, if you've seen it - Johan believes if nobody remembers you, you are dead. In philosophy there is something called 'Idealism'. If no one is around to see something, it doesn't exist, according to idealism (very simplified, and I'm not a philosopher, so take it with a grain of salt), therefore, if no one remembers you, you cease to exist. That is/was his endgame, according - 'the perfect suicide' like in SEL, not a literal suicide. Ergo Proxy has a similar theme with "If I don't have any memories, how I can I prove I even existed?"
  15. If the show has fanservice as an integral part of it, then I don't mind - you know what yore getting into and either watch it or don't. I probably wouldn't anymore. HotD (the Matrix boobs are the invention of the century!!), Akiba's Trib, Highschool DxD are examples of that. If the fanservice is completely out of place e.g. in a serious conversation or an action scene where things are at stake and the show usually doesn't use fan service to a great extend, then it's just annoying... Hai to Gensou no Grimgar did this and it was just annoying - a good way to spoil a otherwise great show. Then there are shows that use fanservice to show relationships between characters, characters building and sometimes for actual plot purposes which I'm fine with too. Monogatari does this pretty well.
  16. Black Lagoon. For some reason I've always postpond to watch it - for solid 8 years. After 6 episodes I kinda regret not watching it earlier. It's great so far! I also started with darling in the franxx and so so far, 3 eps in, it's okay - entertaining but can't really say more about it.
  17. Granted, but it's so heavy, that it is impossible to carry. I wish I knew all languages, with all dialects and accents.
  18. Haruho Harhuahara, mischievously lovely! Hinata's just melts hearts. When she smiles, you have too! And let's not forget Kiss Shot Acerola Orion Heart Under Blade's (aka Shinobu, and the iron-blooded, hot-blooded, cold-blooded vampire ) smile.
