Decimo

I'd say I'm scared of heights. Also I probably have Thalassophobia to an extent.

I still think that song is all just hype, but it was pretty cool in relation the the context I guess. 7/10 Magi - L'Arabesque Sindria

Since schools back in session, most of my time is doing homework and other course work outside of class. If I'm fortunate enough to have an hour or two to do what I want, I'll most likely read LNs on my kindle or read a VN for a bit. Although, I might watch an episode or two of an anime if I feel like it. If I'm not doing any of the above, I'm playing a round or two of R6:Siege or I'm playing on my Switch. That's pretty much it for me. I also have a few friends who do sports as well and it baffles me how they manage to fit all their responsibilities and hobbies alongside their mandatory practices as well.

That was weird, but I liked it a lot more than I thought, especially the vibe it gives you. 7/10 Mekakucity Actors - Ending

Thanks and welcome to the forums as well!

I just got to watching Made in Abyss. I really enjoyed it, besides some certain things that were not subtle. Looking forward to the second season!

Enough to function lol! About 7 hours on a good day. Once mid terms and finals approach towards the end of the year, probably like 3.

5/10. First half was kinda boring, second half was better, but meh, not my cup of tea. That transition was interesting. Humanity Has Declined - Zanshou

Code Vein CyberPunk Smash Ultimate

Just hit Gintama episode 100. Seems like another serious arc is coming soon. Looking forward to watching more!

Clannad's music will always get a 10/10 from me. Always. Nujabes - Shiki No Uta

Some MGMT is never a bad thing.

Very different from what I'm used to listening to, but it really grew on me the second time around. I thought the rap was pretty dang cool! 7/10 Space Dandy - ANATATO

For me it's when the English translation of the script is awkward and when the delivery from the VAs themselves is just off. I'm pretty tolerant of dubs, but the Higurashi dub is atrocious. Also, as others have said, a lot of the meaning can be altered or even lost in translation. And the fact that you hear the same VAs over and over again in different shows, speaks a lot about the talent of potential VAs in comparison lol. The premise of and direction of the actual show plays a heavy role as well. I'd watch the dub for FMA:B and Space Dandy over the sub any day of the week, but if it's a show based on Japanese culture like Chihayafuru, Ima watch the sub.

Currently going through Noble Works and Tsujidou-san. I'll most likely finish all the routes for NW. I can't say the same for Tsujidou-san. I'll probably finish Rena's route, but that might be it. Other girls aren't very appealing and Hiroshi as a MC is just uninteresting. I think my expectations were too high since I knew it was made by Majikoi's (developed by Minato Soft) sister company, Minato Carnival. But oh well I suppose. What about you guys? What visual novels are you currently going through?

Inari Konkon - 53 chapters, 10 volumes Ore ga Doutei wo Sutetara Shinu Ken ni Tsuite - 22 Chapters, 4 volumes I enjoyed both, Inari is fluffy even though I don't care about the MC. The second has some time travel mixed in there. Good reads imo.

I'd say Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin counts as a thriller for the most part. I binged it within a day or two if I recall correctly. It's not for the faint of heart though, just a warning.

The good stuff

Gal Gohan because of that wonder fluffffffff. I believe I'm caught up with MHA I'm reading a few more series, but I don't wanna list them all. I read the light novels for it, but the panels for the manga that I have seen so far look real cool and gritty.

I think the biggest issue that the industry has to go against is piracy. It's accessible to most people and more importantly it's free. I honestly have no idea how to approach this hurdle. Sure, you can tell people to "support" their favorite franchises by paying for Crunchyroll and other streaming services, but how much of that daily subscription you're paying for is going back to the creators? I think buying blu-rays and dvds is a good idea, but to a lot of people, including myself, it isn't cheap. Most people don't buy merchandise, which is a shame. I saw a video Digibro posted a while back suggesting a patreon for studios to make, but only Studio Trigger has created one. If you can find a way or reason to persuade people into using your service over alternative methods, that would be a huge step forward. I think the streaming market is already very competitive as it is, but I wish you the best of luck on your project.

Vanilla is good. Nice!

I actually transferred schools during the middle of 8th grade and it was a bit tough. I was just myself and didn't act like anyone I wasn't. I was a bit of a loner since all the groups had been established by then, but it wasn't all bad since I met my best friends towards the very end of that school year and was able to spend all of high school with all of them. I most likely wouldn't have met or talked to them if I acted like someone I'm not for cheap laughs or entertainment. So yeah, just do you and you'll meet people who appreciate you for who you are and vice versa.

I was able to get my closest friends (3 total, 1 who already watched anime) into watching anime or be open to it at the very least. It took most of high school, but by Senior year we would gather at each other's houses every week and watch shows together. It was pretty cool since two of them had no interest whatsoever in the beginning. They're not all big into it still, but it's still nice to be able watch shows together. I'm sure if you look around and talk on threads you'll find peeps with similar tastes and likes since we all like anime here lol. Talking in the established clubs helps a lot from my experience. I think I saw a thread about a discord server or something, might wanna check that out.

Mac DeMarco just released his latest single, and it's a cover in Japanese, it's glorious!

My dad had the entire VHS collection of Dragon Ball Z when I was round 3 or 4, so that's when I was introduced to anime (I watched and re-watched DBZ a ton). I also watched shows like Naruto with him when I was a kid, but it wasn't until I was around 12 did I realize and become aware that Anime was it's own medium.
