My most recent one was My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising. Definitely an exciting/uplifting movie that I enjoyed alot (even with all the shonen tropes ) The most recent original movie (not tied to an existing franchise) was Promare which I consider hugely overhyped. The art style is probably the biggest factor for me. If the cover catches my eye, I’ll flip through the book itself & if I like what I see, I’ll read the first chapter or so to see if it seems like something I’d enjoy.

No extra time off for me either. Hoping that the 2nd seasons of Fruits Basket & Ascendence of a Bookworm don’t run into production delays because if it. I want the staff to be safe of course, but those are the 2 main ones I’m looking forward to in the upcoming season. As far as backlog stuff I’d probably tackle Fate Stay Night & follow it up with Unlimited Bladeworks. I watched Fate Zero last year & loved it but FGO & the Waver as an adult one were disappointing. Then probably Saga of Tanya the Evil since it’s the last of the Isekai Quartet series I haven’t seen. When I’m ready for something lighter, that’s probably the next one I’ll watch (I’d watched the first 6 episodes or so previously)

Just checked their “official” ages. Gentle is 32 (called it). La Brava is supposedly 21 (no way in hell ) Of course it’s a common trope in anime that male characters are younger than they look & females are older.

I get the same feeling though they tried to make it a little less cringey than it first seems. Gentle’s hair was white in the scene where he was 22, so it’s a natural color, not due to age. But another scene had him refer to himself as middle aged, so I’m guessing 31 - 35. They comment on La Brava being short for her age but still guessing she’s about 14 - 16. So no matter how you look at it it’s still a minor girl & an adult man approximately twice her age. It’s likely a good bit of their feelings are admiration on her part & gratitude on his. Not to mention loneliness since they are both social outcasts. But they are very lovey dovey in the way they talk to each other, which makes it feel more than a little ... incomfortable.0

@Nyxnine definitely the humor There’s a bit more drama in the last couple episodes, which actually feels kinda contrived, But the ending is never in any doubt.

A transitional form of rain/snow that just makes everything sloppy

Just finished the last episode. While it didn’t offer full closure, it was still a satisfactory conclusion. A very cute & funny series. One of my favorites from the season & one of my overall favorite romcoms (8/10)
