  1. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2024-01-09/dorohedoro-anime-gets-sequel-as-streaming-series/.206148 I’m somewhat concerned by the lack of details, but grateful that it looks like it will finally get a much needed continuation.
  2. “… the truth is, my mind has hardly changed since I was a child. I’ve simply been pretending to be an adult until I can make it as an ideal grown-up. I’ll probably keep pretending until the day I die.” - - Heiter, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.
  3. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Dororo Ushio & Tora Soul Eater Mob Psycho 100 Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) Jujutsu Kaisen
  4. Both seasons & the movie. Personally consider it overhyped, though I’m not really a fan of most harems anyway. I’m currently bingeing 2nd part of Dead Mount Death Play. Just finished episode 4 (16 overall). Misaki just keeps becoming more of a freak
  5. Seems like a pretty sparse season to me as well. Normally I follow 15-20 seasonals & binge about a half dozen at the end. This season seems more like only a dozen total. Will continue watching Frieren, Apothecary Diaries, Ragna Crimson & Shangri La Frontier. Planning to watch Solo Leveling and the 2nd seasons of The Dangers in my Heart & Tsukimichi. Will at least check out Metallic Rouge & Sengoku Youko. Currently though trying to finish off some 2023 series.
  6. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around
  7. Currently The Faraway Paladin season 2
  8. Currently Pluto on Netflix & The Eminence in Shadow season 2 on HiDive
  9. While I’m not seeing much I’m hyped for in the upcoming season, I’m nowhere near bored of anime. Still got a number of series from the current season I need to finish or that will carry over into the new year (Frieren, Ragna Crimson, Shangri La Frontier). And will hopefully finally get Fate Stay/Night , UBW & the Heavens Feel movies off my backlog list. I’ve been watching anime to some degree for 40+ years & the variety of genres I’ve exlored actually increased when I started streaming around 6 years ago. I can see myself watching less anime in the future (especially seasonals) but doubt I’ll ever give it up entirely. If nothing else, there are a number of titles from the early days of my journey I’m curious to revisit & see if my impressions have changed, especially ones I’ve only seen the english dub version of.
  10. Rainy with temps in the 50s all day. Supposed to be colder the rest of the week.

  12. I can’t honestly say I ever believed, I was too good at finding my presents early
  13. “You can’t help what you don’t have. So you just have to make due with what you do have” - Goblin Slayer season 2
  14. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around. I’m not much of a manga reader anymore, but trying to find some more time for it. However, I’m currently watching more anime than is probably good for me.
  15. The sequel movie is apparently up on Crunchyroll now if you’re interested. I’ll probably watch at some point, but no idea when (maybe before posting my 2023 Favorites, though the tv series on it’s own wouldn’t make the cut).
  16. @hupppriksssss I think this is what you’re looking for (Shadow Star) https://myanimelist.net/anime/838/Narutaru__Mukuro_Naru_Hoshi_Tama_Taru_Ko I didn’t watch the anime but do remember reading part of the manga back in the day.
  17. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around. Recommendations: Isekai - Magic Knight Rayearth • Overlord • That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Adventure - Vinland Saga • Golden Kamuy • Dororo Comedy- School Rumble • Asobi Asobase For something similar to Darling in the Franxx maybe Evangelion or Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Similar to SAO: Grimgar of Fantasy & Ash or .Hack//
  18. Migi & Dali episode 11 while none of this week’s revelations/ developments were particularly surprising, the way they played out still felt shocking. And with 2 more episodes left it seems likely there will be at least a few more twists before the end. With it’s surreal & macabre tone, the series frequently approaches the level of horror instead of just mystery. I definitely consider it one of the season’s under appreciated series.
  19. Welcome Hope you find things to interest you here & decide to stick around.
